I think it's great that people are making a fuss about China's unfair treatment of Tibet. But at the same time it is hypocritical when the world - and especially the UN - treats Isreal the way it does.

I have explained many a time before why the catholic church is not a Christian denomination. I have also said that I know there are Christians in the catholic church; that doesn't change the fact that the church itself is in error. However that isnt the point of this thread.

Secondly, the Catholic Schools follow the provincial curriculum - to the 'T' - there is no digression - . That is the reason they get funded . . . . .Which explains the humanism and the other educational discrepancies you may decry !!! . Thirdly, religious ed is optional for those who attend Catholic Schools and are not Catholic. Catholics schools do not prosyletize. They do not infuse children with political propaganda . Catholics Schools support the government (of Canada) and do not educate the kids to view their nation, the indigenous culture, the govenrment as something evil or something to be subverted. . You may not agree with Catholcism as a religious expression ; however they ascribe to Judeo- Christian values. . AND, their schools have run in our countries for centuries and have only added to the enrichment of our cultures. True one could make the case that Islam is a more dangerous religion right now. But the point is error is still error regardless of how severe an error it is. Catholic schools do incorporate their beliefs into the system. Do you really think they would go to the trouble of running their own schools if they couldn't teach their religion in them?

Yes it is bad enough that my tax dollars fund public schools who promote the religion of humanism, the false theory of evolution, and suppress religions expression. Far be it that we would also have to start funding schools who are engraining their religion into the minds of impressionable children. If they are going to take religion out of the schools they should at least be consistent. But then they never are. For humanism is a religion and its taught loud and clear while students' expression of their religion is squashed. I.E. The cases of students incorporating their Christianity into their artwork and then being failed on it, the teacher who slandered Christians, or children who are mocked for daring to question evolutionary theory.

Well that is just as bad as the fact that in Canada Catholic schools are government funded.

I never implied that it was wrong to show affection,nor do I have a messed up view of it, nor have I been in a bad one. Yah at one work place we had cake once a month bi-monthly. I agree that having cake 4 times a week at a public school is rather excessive.

You are soooo angry and soooo defensive over this it's almost like you are scared he is taking away your "freedom" to kiss. Is it possible you are just a wee bit jealous? For the record, as a young Christian female I am very much impressed when a man expresses such goals or desires as he did. If a guy is dating and keeps himself from kissing and/or pushing his gf then she is safe to relax and enjoy being the object of Godly love instead of barely restrained lust. She will know that he respects and loves her for herself; and that his love will be protecting and not demanding. Kissing can easily lead to further things, and there have been many who have made a Biblical case that it is not spiritually beneficial to engage in - that it is just a milder form of "playing with fire". Instead of getting so worked up and angry you should stop and consider the benefits of what he is promoting.

Mamato, nana has basically nailed the different between christianity and catholicism right on. There are many areas in which catholicism proves itself to be unBiblical but the most glaring and most dangerous is their view of justification. Basically, a Christian will tell you that Scripturally they were saved by grace alone, thru faith alone,, by Christ alone. Catholic doctrine teaches that we must add good works and/or our own effort to Jesus' sacrifice. Essentially they believe that sanctification is part of justification instead of being the fruit of it.

No no no. Your eternal security doesnt lie in your profession of faith. After all we are human and our hearts deceive us all the time. Your eternal security rests on the unfailing character of your Father in heaven. I want angelique to understand this also : if you have repented of your sins and believed on Christ to save you; then you can believe Him when He says that ' him that cometh to me i will in no wise cast out'. Your safety is built upon the promises and character of God and He is the Unchanging Infallible Almighty.

Wheres your evidence for this? Sitting in church pews on Sunday and lazy-boys all week. Not even going to give that one the dignity of a response. It is heresy to teach that only sins committed before the moment of salvation were forgiven and paid for by the blood of Christ. This is not the gospel! This is a gospel without hope; without assurance and without power. How dare somone say that the blood of Christ did not cover once and for all the sins of a repentent sinner. You make the words of Christ to be of none effect. And I stand by what I said - it is heresy.

Something should be done about these doctors pressuring people. They have absolutely NO business doing that at all!
