My parents had a cat back when I was a teen that they had declawed. The vet only declawed the cat's front paws. We had to keep her inside since she couldn't climb trees to get away from dogs, although we did take her out at times. She still managed to catch birds now and again! Even after she was declawed, she would still stretch out her front paws and 'sharpened' them on the furniture. Made a popping sound when she did it on the edge of the sofa arm, but didn't damage the sofa.

Perhaps they should block shut the mail slot and hang a mailbox outside the door?

I'm thinking John saw it in heaven during his vision recorded in the Book of Revelation.
