3000 BC would have not been too long after the Flood and the world would have been a much smaller population mainly localized near Turkey/Asia/ Middle East. All the knowledge about God would have been passed down through Noah and his sons to every tribe and nation. For instance Abraham was from the region of modern day Iraq (Ur), but somehow God was able to save Abraham and his familiar. God is not limited by distance in reaching people with the Word of God that can save. If you read the book of Jahser it speaks of Abraham being trained in the knowledge of God by Noah and Shem, Noah's direct son. Jasher chapter 9: When Ten Years Old, Abram goes to Noah and Shem, Remains with them for Thirty-nine Years, and is Taught in all the Ways of the Lord. The Wickedness of Nimrod and his People. They Propose to Build a Tower to Heaven and Dethrone God. The confusion of Tongues.

Proof That Christ Is Equal With God
Jedi4Yahweh replied to Walter and Deborah's topic in General Discussion
Not only is equal with God, HE IS GOD. Jesus is the same God that created the Heavens and Earth in Gen 1. Jesus is the same God that spoke to Noah, Abraham, Moses and all the Prophets. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. ... He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. - Jhn 1:1-3, 10 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. - Col 1:16-18 For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses--as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.) - Heb 3:3-4- 1 reply

The New Covenant is God putting his law within us. We though the help of the Holy Spirit uphold the law of God, because the holy spirit give us the power and ability to live by his law. Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. - Rom 3:31

You keep making this about Smith Wigglesworth being a Pentecostal...even after you said it was Irrelevant. Which is it? The original post was about a misconduct accusation from Ted Hangered who himself has been evolved with multiple scandal's since his admitted homosexual/drug sandal. https://ministrywatch.com/ted-haggard-faces-new-allegations-launches-new-church/
-
I would not believe anything Ted Haggard writes or says. You do know that he wrote this after getting caught and later admitting his involvement with male prostitutes, drugs, and denying his faith while as a minister. Who is he to condemn others on misconduct? This guys is proven con-artist and a wolf. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ted-haggard-says-hes-bisexual/ But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. ... and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones, ... But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you. They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing, ... They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. - 2Pe 2:1-3, 10, 12-15, 19-20
-
So why would you bring it up if it was irrelevant??? The post was about some misconduct accusations not his teachings. By the way I was being facetious. I just find it ironic that a man accusing a preacher from the 1920's of misconduct, yet he Ted Haggard openly admitted being involved with male prostitutes, smoking meth, and admitted as a minister and a married man is bisexual. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ted-haggard-says-hes-bisexual/ Talk about having a log in your eye.
-
Yes, they tried to condemn Jesus and all the apostles for openly preaching Jesus. Not well received by the religious establishments. I guess what goes round comes around.
-
Pentecostal if that is the case....condemn him!!!!!!!!!!
-
Isn't that ironic, regarding Ted Haggard

Yes, nationally and internationally there has been a large decline in typical church attendance. https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2019/10/17/in-u-s-decline-of-christianity-continues-at-rapid-pace/ We were warned this would happen. Jesus warned that many in last days would turn from hearing the truth and become offended and fall away. Peter said in the last days many would become mockers of God turn their ears from hearing truth. Don't be one of them, but I think we are only seeing the beginning. My suggestion is to stay committed to God, read his word daily, pray for guidance, don't let the actions of other offend you. The most important thing is your own standing with God. Find you some Christian friends to fellowship with. Get out and preach the good news (jails, hospitals, streets, homeless shelters, etc...)

I love the quote by Voddie Baucham and so true. I thought salvation comes from responding to an alter call, reciting a sinners prayer, asking Jesus into my heart..lol Found no where in the bible. True salvations comes from real repentance and real faith. Real faith has action. True repentance is not just feeling sorry for your sins but actively turning from sin and going the opposite direction.

God clearly calls certain people through-out scripture righteous. Examples: Abraham, Noah, King David, to include Job and many others. Yet you deny this. God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry [with the wicked] every day. - Psa 7:11 KJV The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. - Psa 11:5 KJV There were they in great fear: for God [is] in the generation of the righteous. - Psa 14:5 KJV Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all [ye that are] upright in heart. - Psa 32:11 KJV Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: [for] praise is comely for the upright. - Psa 33:1 KJV Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. - Psa 34:19 KJV A little that a righteous man hath [is] better than the riches of many wicked. - Psa 37:16 KJV There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife [was] of the daughters of Aaron, and her name [was] Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. - Luk 1:5-6 KJV
-
You are accusing Job of being an unrighteous man when God himself says he is a perfect and upright man, one who fears God. Are you saying God is a liar? That is not what Jesus said, you completely twisted that scripture to fit your narrative. Jesus clearly says: Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak. - Mar 14:38 KJV We are promised temptations, testing and trails in this life. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. - Jhn 16:33 KJV My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. - Jas 1:2-3 NKJV
-
I am not sure how reliable this information is or if the accusations are true or not. This is the first I am hearing about this. Either way, just because someone man of God failed at some point does not give credence to condemn his entire life and ministry. A perfect example of this was King David, a man after God's own heart who failed horribly committed adultery with another mans wife and had the man murdered. Should we now toss out Psalms and all the reset of the books of the bible that speak of King David to include the Gospels and NT letters?

God did not afflict Job...It was Satan that afflicted Job. God had protection around Job and his family and Satan told God if your remove this protection from Job, he will curse you. Satan challenge God over Job's faithfulness. God took Satan up on his challenge to prove Satan wrong and he did prove Satan wrong and God rewarded Job for his faithfulness in the end. So Satan answered the LORD and said, "Does Job fear God for nothing? "Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. "But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!" And the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has [is] in your power; only do not lay a hand on his [person]." So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. - Job 1:9-12 NKJV
-
That simply does not line up with what God said about Job. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? - Job 1:8 KJV I don't know what your understand of self righteousness means. God calls all to live righteously. My understand of self righteous is someone who pretends to be righteous outwardly but in their personal and private life they are corrupt and evil. This does not describe Job. God said he was a perfect and upright man, one who fears God and shunned evil.

By the way the Church is not a NT concept it simply means assembly of God's people. Israel was considered the Church. This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and [with] our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: - Act 7:37-38 KJV And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. - Mic 4:2 KJV
-
So your saying Jesus and all the apostles were not apart of the church because they are Jews???? It was through believing Jews that the gospel came to all nations. All the Jewish Apostles where commissioned to take the Gospel the Nations (Gentiles). The first NT church was a Jewish church. The Church is made of Jews and Gentiles in one body called the Church. And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Mat 28:18-20 ESV and said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. - Luk 24:46-47 ESV And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. - Mic 4:2 KJV

I think most clear sign that we are saved is this: And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. - 1Jo 2:3-6 KJV

Yeah the price of Taylor guitars has skyrocketed must be the inflation. I have never owned a Breedlove but have friends that tell me they are a great guitar for the price. You would need to just the truss rod first to see if gets it in limits. If that does not work then consider looking at the bridge height and nut height to see if they need to be adjusted. Personally I would not do this myself being a new guitar player. I would take it to someone who does this for a living. You should maybe look for a good used guitar, but your high-end guitars are just as expensive used as they are new, sometimes they are even higher. You maybe can find a good mid-range guitar used. Be careful buying a used guitar you could be getting a damaged guitar that will cost you a lot money to repair. Take your time and find a guitar that feels and sounds good to you that is in your budget.
-
Almost all guitars have curved or rounded fret board....that is normal. The high action can be corrected by adjusting the truss rod and or lowering saddle and or bridge nut. Be careful making these adjustments yourself because you can easily damage your guitar. Its not bad guitar for starting out if you can get everything adjusted correctly or you can go fork out the money buy you a mid to high end guitar. I personally own an expensive Taylor 714 guitar $2400 dollars new, but I have mid range guitar that sound just as good that I paid much less. Checkout Breedlove guitars they have some good midrange guitars.

I use Brown Drive Briggs Lexicon and the Hebrew Chaldean Lexicon for the OT Masoretic text. For NT greek, I use Thayer's Greek Lexicon mostly. I also study the Septuagint (LXX) text and use different Septuagint lexicons. I really don't have a set preference on lexicons but prefer to use multiple lexicons.

@com7fy8 Reminds about how God promised the Israelites the promise land (Land of Canaan) but what Israel did not realize was, there were giants and warring nations still in the land which caused Israel to want to turn back and go to Egypt. God told Israel they would have to fight and remove them from the Land. Israel did not like that. God said he intentionally left these obstacles in the Land to test Israel and see if they would be faithful to him and trust him to overcome their enemies. In the same why God leaves major obstacles in our life to overcome as a way to test our faith and to build our faith to overcome our enemies. Unfortunately many fail and turn back to Egypt and die in the wilderness, just like most of Israel did. Only two men out of the original group actually entered into the land that was promised to them. Shalom, Jedi

Yes, classical guitar are great for finger style picking. I keep an assortment of different guitars for different play styles. I currently don't own a classical guitar because I gave it to my daughter, but have been on the market looking for another one.
