Many try to mix the words Jew and Israelite together but they do not always mean the same thing because not all of Israel are Jews. The northern 10 tribes of Israel were never considered Jews because most did not follow the teaching and the customs of the Jews. Israel was divided between two kingdoms, the northern kingdom of Israel (also known as Ephraim and later Samaritans) and the Southern Kingdom was known as the Kingdom of Judah and also referred to as Jews. The word Jew refers to those who follow Judean customs, beliefs, and practices and those who worship at the Jerusalem Temple site. Much of the northern tribes were rejected by Jews because they intermarried with foreigners and followed pagan religions and formed their own religion similar to Jews but mixed with paganism and Idolatry. Northern Israel had its own forbidden temple and worship sites in Samaria and rejected the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. They became known as Samaritans and Jews had no association with them (Jhn 4:9). On the other hand, there were many that lived in Northern Israel (Samaria) and other parts of the world, yet followed the covenant of the Jews and therefore considered Jews as well (This is where much of the confusion comes from). Jesus and his family were prime examples: Jesus was rejected by Jewish leaders for the fact that he came from a non-Judean village in northern Israel called Nazareth. Jews had a hard time accepting that the Messiah would come from a non-Judean village (Jhn 1:46). This did not fit their Messiah narrative. They did not understand the Jesus was truly a Jew and a descendant of King David and was born in the Kingdom of Judah (Bethlehem) and he followed the teachings and covenant of the Jews even though he was not raised in Judea. A Jew could be anyone who follows the teachings and customs of the Jews and this could also apply to any tribe of Israel (northern or southern) and foreigners as well. Being a Jew is primarily related to being a follower of the religion and customs of the Jews/Kingdom of Judah regardless of birth or tribe. There were many gentile Jewish converts all over the world even in Jesus's day. Even modern day Jewish Rabbi's will tell you anyone can become a Jew if they convert and follow their covenant and laws. For example, Ruth who was a Moabite gentile became known as a Jew because she joined herself to the Kingdom of Judah and their God and is the great grandmother of King David and Jesus. Again, not all Israelites belong to the Kingdom of Judah nor followed the teachings of the Jews and therefore not called Jews, and just because you lived in Judea and or belong to one of the southern 2 tribes of the Kingdom of Judah did not mean you were a Jew either. It was based on if you lived according to Jewish teachings and covenant and laws. Those who rejected the Jewish teaching were considered Sinners, Heathen, Gentiles, or Samaritans even if they belonged to one of two tribes of the Kingdom of Judah.

I don't disagree with that. There are true born again believers in most all denominations despite any false teachings/doctrines. Church affiliation does not define your relationship with God. As Messiah said, my sheep are those that hear my voice and follow/obey me. Many who go to church hear his voice but refuse to follow because they are not his sheep. I don't think anyone can claim they have 100% accuracy of biblical doctrine, being that there are over 41,000 Christian denominations and all of them fight and disagree with each other. However a truly born-again believer who seeks God and loves truth will allow the Holy Spirit to guide them and correct them. and overtime will transform your views on teachings and doctrines in line with God if you have a humble and submissive heart. Unfortunately many in the church are not led by the Spirit but by their Church dogmas and pride. They refuse to come to knowledge of the truth. They become just like the deaf & blind hypocritical Pharisees who have a outward form of godliness but deny the true power of God that can save them.

Jesus never taught universal salvation for all. I wish that were the case but contradicts what Jesus taught. We know from scriptures only a few will be saved and many will parish taught by Messiah himself. "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide [is] the gate and broad [is] the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. "Because narrow [is] the gate and difficult [is] the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. - Mat 7:13-14 NKJV "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. "When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open for us,' and He will answer and say to you, 'I do not know you, where you are from,' "then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.' "But He will say, 'I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.' My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. - Jhn 10:14-16, 26-27 ESV Y'shua was teaching Jews about how he was the Gate and Shepard that leads the flock into God's Kingdom. Y'shua made if very clear to the Jew's just because you are a Jew does not make you a sheep of God's Kingdom. He said only those who understand his voice and obey are his sheep. So who are these "other sheep of a different fold" that he will bring and join to the flock, so that there will be one flock one shepherd?

It means those you call great [Cheif] will be called the least [Lowest] in the Kingdom of God. Those you call least [Lowest] in the world will be called great in the Kingdom. Example rich man and Lazarus. If you do a Greek word study on 'first' it means Chief (greatest in worth) and 'last' means (lowest as in worth). And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way? But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who [should be] the greatest. And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first [Cheif], [the same] shall be last [lLowest]of all, and servant of all. And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. - Mar 9:33-37 KJV The Pharisees honored people of wealth and stature but poor and lowly people were treated like garbage and unimportant. Not so in the Kingdom of God. The poor and humble will be honored and those prideful and arrogant will be cast out of his Kingdom.

Sounds like you have changed your views to a preterist view where biblical prophecy regarding the second coming has already been fulfilled in 70AD with the destruction of the Jerusalem and Emperor Nero was the Anti-Christ. I am not a preterist but I do believe some biblical prophecy has been fulfilled in 70 AD. Mat 24, Luk21, Mark 13 are addressing two different events asked by the Apostles and Jesus addressed both issues. Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, "You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down." As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be, AND what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" - Mat 24:1-3 ESV 1 ) When will be the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem. --Most of this is addressed in the first part of the Mat24. --And has been fulfilled around 70AD. --There will not be a third temple before his coming. 2) And what will be the sign of your coming and the end of age. --Most of this is addressed in the later part of Mat24, Luk21 and Mark 13. --Regarding the Signs of his coming. --Gospel Preached to Ends of the Earth, Great Tribulation upon whole world, Sun and Moon Darkened, Great Signs in the Heaven and Earth, Great Earth Quake, Second Coming, Gathering of the elect from the 4 corners of the earth. --This has yet to be fulfilled. We Christians like to lump them together as the same event but not so in my opinion, first part of the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem happened in 70AD under Emperor Nero the rest has yet to happen.

The bible says there are many anti-christ. If your referring to Man of Sin, the Man of Lawlessness, the 7th Horn/8th King of the Beast World Government system. Then no this person has not been revealed yet, we can only speculate who is. The bible says he will not be revealed until the Great Apostasy (Mega Falling Away). Its pretty clear the worlds stage has been set for him to come to power through the UN nations (Revised Roman Empire). The bible says he will be worshipped by all nations small and great and everyone will receive the mark of the Beast World Government, except those sealed by God and he will make war against those who do not receive this mark.

Agreed...True faith has fruits/works. Faith produces works. If you believe in Messiah this means you obey and follow his teachings/commands. You have died to self and sin and now a servant of the Messiah. Those who say they believe but live in contradiction to his teachings are false believers. There are religious works that are not based on faith in Messiah. For instance many "Christians" think if I go to church enough, pay tithes, say a sinners prayer, join the worship team that means I am saved. Those all maybe good but they are not true works of faith. The Pharisees did that kind of stuff. True faith produces repentance & obedience to God's word. You can go to church, go to alter calls, be baptized, say a sinners prayer but if you refuse to repent of your sins your faith and your works are false and vain and it will not save you. A true born-again believer repents of their sins and does not look back, because God has given them a new heart with his laws written upon it, so that they obey and do them. Being born again means you walk in a new life in obedience to Messiah. God has given you the power to repent and live in obedience. Grace is God given you the power and opportunity to repent and be forgiven and receive his Holy Spirit that transforms your life into the image of his Son. So that you live as he lived. If your faith did not produce repentance from sin and obedience towards God you have been deceived and are still in dead in sin.

A Sabbath-Rest for God's People

Yes, God sanctified/commanded every 7th day (Sabbath) as a rest from work and a time of worship, not only that he commanded every 7th year as time of rest, not only that God commanded every 7 x 7 seven's of years (49 years) to be a time of rest. The 7th thousand years which is soon approaching will also be Sabbath rest. These are God's appointed times along with Passover, Pentecost, and Feast of Tabernacles which were commanded to be kept by God covenant people. Messiah kept them and so did all the other apostles. Unfortunately most Christians have replaced these with roman/greek god pagan festivals to include the weekly Sabbath. -

JAG, Awesome post. God is longsuffering and merciful and not willing that any should parish but that all should come to REPENTANCE! God was exactly that to the Kingdom's of Judah and Israel. Yet they refused to repent despite God warning them many many times and yet they still refused to listen or turn from their wickedness and God destroyed them and only a few survived which were taken into captivity by their enemies. Daniel the prophet was one of those taken in the captivity. Yahweh Elohim is merciful and patiently waiting but judgement will come and if you continue to live in sin and refuse to repent you will likewise not survive God's coming judgment. Apostle Peter said if its hard for a righteous person to be saved how much more sever will it be for a wicked person who has no fear of God. Jason -

@debrakay Don't give up and don't let your age be a factor. Its hard to find a strong women of God who stands for the truth of God's word. Jesus/Y'shua calls it a blessing to be persecuted for doing and saying what's right in God's eyes. Look at the suffering and persecution's that Messiah and also his disciples had to endure for his name sake. He was called a Blasphemer, Sinner, False Prophet, Son of Satan, by very devout religious people who claimed to follow the God of the bible and was ultimately killed by them. Today is no different. So consider your suffering the mark of a true disciple of Messiah. Most of your persecution is not going to come from the world but from those who claim they know God. "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household. - Mat 10:24-25 ESV "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. I have been reading a lot about Christian suffering and your right the world is getting more and more hostile toward true uncompromising Christians. Messiah told us that we will see suffering and persecution. Peter addressed Christians suffering that we must endure in much detail in his letter in fact said we are blessed if when we suffer for his name sake and that we must stand firm and not give up. I like what the writer of Hebrews said about Moses: By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. - Heb 11:24-26 ESV Moses gave up everything to follow Christ

@Bro.Tan I almost agreed with you but the Law was not nailed to the cross it was our transgressions of the Law that was nailed to the cross. Big difference. In fact the Bible teaches the the Law Of God is now written on the hearts of those who believe in the New Covenant. The Bible also teaches that Gods law is eternal. Sin is defined as transgression of the Law in the NT and OT. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. - 1Jo 3:4-6 KJV Its was not God's righteous Law that was nailed to the cross but our crime's against his Law. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: ... I don't think anybody is saying works save. What James is saying true faith has evidence in the form of works. He gave examples such as Abraham proved his faith by the things he did. James said faith and works work hand in hand and faith that does not have work is not real faith at all. For example if I woke you up in the middle of the night and told you that your house is on fire that you need to get up and get your family out or your going to die, and you said, "Ok I believe you", but then you get back in the bed and go back to sleep. Did you really believe? No, because if you really believed me, you would have did what I said. True faith produces works. -

Amen...That's what being born again truly means that Jesus spoke of in John 3. Its God putting his Spirit and his Laws within you so that you walk in them. This ties into what Jeremey said about the New Covenant that was to come through Messiah. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Its has everything to do with your your salvation. Those who confess they know him but continue to live in an unrepentant sinful life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Even Paul acknowledges this...and you have been deceived if you think otherwise. Turning from sin is not optional as you make it sound. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Believing in Messiah is much more than a mental acknowledgement of him its becoming a disciple and giving up you life to follow him. Just because you say you know him means nothing...its those who love and obey him and give up their life to follow him. And when he had called the people [unto him] with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. - Mar 8:34-38 KJV Those passage right after John 3.16 says those whom come to him must have their deeds exposed and corrected...and those who do refuse to come to him are those who don't want their deeds exposed or corrected. -

Read the rest of the passage in context: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ... And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. - Jhn 3:16, 19-21 KJV In context it says we must be willing to come to the light so we can have our deeds/works exposed and reproved (corrected) so that we can do what is right in God's sight. Its not some mental acknowledgement that saves but our coming to him in humility and having him expose our sin and correct our sinful behavior. True faith has works. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. - Mat 5:20 KJV -

You said every bible writer (author) agrees...can you show me an author other than Paul's writings that God requires nothing on our part? I have given you a host of other NT authors that say otherwise in my OP (Jesus, Peter, John, James). The bibles says truth is established by two or more witnesses. Even Jesus said if he came testifying own his own behalf without being validated by Moses and the Prophets (Scriptures) that his testimony is false (John 5.31-39). We must apply that same concept to all NT authors to include Paul's writings. We must evaluate doctrine with the entirety of Scriptures not just one author or we are intentionally deceiving ourselves. -

Thank you for your service. I am also retired military USAF. I didn't see much direct combat needless to say...Hoorah USAF! I think we agree for the most part. Being obedient to God is what is important. There is going to come a time when following the will of God is disobedience to government . It is a narrow path and cross we must carry and we must be willing to follow God even when it may cost your everything.

@R. Hartono Would you allow an evil person to rape or murder someone you love when you have the power to stop them? Only a evil selfish coward would allow this. We are called to protect those who are oppressed and weaker than ourselves. As a father or mother it is your job to protect your family and loved ones. Certainly no body wishes to be in a situation where they must use deadly force, but if someone broke into my home and was attempting to murder and/or rape my family and it was going to end either with my family or the evil person dying then I would have no problem sending that evil person to the grave.
