  1. In your world view you think slavery and love can not coexist, but that is not how God viewed it. Read the following: For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land. [And] if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee. And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty: Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: [of that] wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him. And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day. And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee; Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust [it] through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise. It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant [to thee], in serving thee six years: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest. [Deu 15:11-18 KJV]
  2. You are not making any sense?? Joseph did not impregnate Mary, it says that she was impregnated by the Holy Spirit (God). So, Joseph is not the biological father. This means the human side of Jesus' DNA came from his mother. The other half of his DNA came from God. This is why he is both Son of Man and Son of God.
  3. Not sure what your asking?? Joseph was not the biological father of Jesus. Jesus human bloodline comes through his mother.
  4. I was put in a similar situation being that I worked as contractor for the military. Initial they said all contractors were exempt from the covid vaccine mandate but later changed their stance and said any employee including contractors are required to get vaccinated to retain employment. So I did the religious exemption but was denied by the commander of the organization. Then was given an ultimatum to get the vaccine or be terminated so I walked out the door and never came back. I regret walking out the door I should have forced them to fire me so that I could have brought a legal case against them.
  5. You stated Abraham nor his ancestors worshiped idols. I simply showed you that was incorrect and gave you the verse that stated otherwise. What further clarification do you need? Joshua 24:2 And Joshua said to all the people, Thus said the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelled on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.
  6. The truth is there is no organization out there called Christian Nationalism well at least in the US. This is a strawman created by the left to label politicians and supporters who hold and fight for Christian values. Yes, some of them have accepted this label but its not an official organization.
  7. So Paul says God is wrong on slavery???
  8. Terah Abrahams father did worship idols. Joshua 24:2 And Joshua said to all the people, Thus said the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelled on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods. There are many Jewish historic books and ancient manuscripts that tells how Terah Abraham's father was an Idol maker.
  9. Also division happens based on God's word...his truth. When people do not accept truth it divides people. Jesus said is he is the Truth and his word is Truth. "Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person's enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. [Mat 10:34-37]
  10. I am finding more and more that if you want to know the truth of a matter just believe the opposite of how mainstream media wants you to view that matter.
  11. I believe my mother died from the vaccine. Within a few months after my mom got her first vaccine she developed blood clots all over her lungs and barely survived and was placed on permanent oxygen. We did research about Covid vaccine one of the concerns was blood clots in the lungs especially elderly people. We asked the doctors at the time if this may have been due the vaccine and the doctor quickly dismissed it but still could not give us an clear explanation of what caused the blood clots. Well, my mother eventually was released from the hospital but died within a short span due the complications with her lungs and low oxygen intake levels.
  12. Its true that his Son died for all, but only few are going to be saved and make it into his Kingdom. Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive [work fervently] to enter in at the strait [narrow] gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out. [Luk 13:23-28]
  13. Here is the UK law on religious freedom: The right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief, in worship, teaching, practice and observance[…] The freedom to manifest one's religion or beliefs shall be subject only to such limitations as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society in the interests of public safety, for the protection of public order, health or morals, or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others. Notice that government puts several limitation in place on religions freedoms such limitations prescribed by law, public safety, public order, health or morals, protection of rights and freedoms of others, etc... Those all may seem fair and legitimate to religious freedoms on the surface, but at any time UK law enforcements could use and any of these limitations such of public safety, public order, health and moral, protection of rights of others as factors to arrest and shut down religious freedoms. For example if a Church teaches that abortions is wrong well they could easily say your violating public order, mental health and moral, public safety, rights and freedoms of those seeking an abortion, and can shut you down and or arrest you at any given time. This same goes for any topic that government wants to enforce on a church or its members, be it abortion, COVID, teachings about other religions, homosexuality, public preaching, etc... Notice the contrast of the US constitution that says "congress shall make no law" regarding religion and the exercise thereof.
  14. You know that phrase 'separation of Church and State' is found no where in our constitution? However the constitution does state congress shall make no law regarding the establishment of religion and the exercise there of. Meaning that congress (law makers) are not allowed to govern religious freedoms and the exercise there of. This is what allows for freedom OF religion not freedom FROM religion.
  15. lol....just figured out what you were talking about. Went and fixed the typo.
  16. Its clear from studying the Hebrew word for 'ebed' that servant and slave are interchangeable and mean the same thing. Being a slave or servant does not mean that they can not be put in trusted and honorable positions under their owner. For example Joseph was sold into slavery and was purchased by an official of Pharaoh. It says that Potiphar placed Joseph in a honorable position and made him oversee over his whole house. And the example of Abraham's servant Eliezer that you provided is another good example or even Hagar who belonged to Abraham and Sarah. I am sure in most cases slaves/servants were valued and treated more like trusted family members.
  17. Yeah that is a tough one. I can tell you there is a lot of debate over this scripture if its referring to God plural or if this scripture is including other heavenly beings such as angels who are also considered elohims. Jewish theologians take that stance and many nontrinitarians. I lean more toward the plurality of God because I am not sure if angels had any active part of creation.
  18. I would like to think that was the case. It seems according to Lev 25:44-46 that slaves were purchased from surrounding nations. This may imply contractual type servanthood, but then again it says they became life long property of the owner that could be passed down to their children. It also mentions in other scriptures if a fellow Hebrew became poor he could sell himself into slavery for 6 yrs to another Hebrew...this seems to be a 6yr contract based servanthood only for fellow Hebrews. Then there are other scriptures stating if someone stole property and were found guilty they had to pay back double for what they stole and if they could not pay it back, they were forced into slavery...which that seems sort of forced. There are also scriptures where when Israel went to war sometimes they were instructed by God to take captive surviving enemy nations and make them slaves...which also seems forced. If you read Exodus 21:16 it seems to only imply to Hebrew slaves based on verse 2 of that chapter. There were different rules for hebrew slaves vs. foreign slaves.
  19. Also, there is no where in scripture that says God is three persons. I believe the Father, Word, and Spirit are one person, just as each human is one person which consist of a spirit, soul and body and made in the image and likeness of God. If I am not three persons then neither is God since we are created in his image and likeness.
  20. Clearly the hebrew & greek word for slave is used many times in both old and new testament. Just because KJV chooses to use a different word does not change the hebrew and greek definition of that word. NKJV: 'And as for your male and female slaves whom you may have--from the nations that are around you, from them you may buy male and female slaves. 'Moreover you may buy the children of the strangers who dwell among you, and their families who are with you, which they beget in your land; and they shall become your property. 'And you may take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit [them as] a possession; they shall be your permanent slaves. But regarding your brethren, the children of Israel, you shall not rule over one another with rigor. [Lev 25:44-46 NKJV] ESV: As for your male and female slaves whom you may have: you may buy male and female slaves from among the nations that are around you. You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their clans that are with you, who have been born in your land, and they may be your property. You may bequeath them to your sons after you to inherit as a possession forever. You may make slaves of them, but over your brothers the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another ruthlessly. [Lev 25:44-46 ESV] KJV: Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, [shall be] of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids. Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that [are] with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession. And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit [them for] a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour. [Lev 25:44-46 KJV]
  21. I agree with some of that. The bible says Slave owners are to treat slaves justly and fairly knowing they have a Master in heaven who is watching (Col 4:1).
  22. That maybe true for the Jubilee year which is every 49years. 7 x 7. I will have to look into it.
  23. Well Yes and No. The bible gives different instructions for foreign slaves verses Hebrew slaves. Hebrew slaves could sell themselves into slavery and could be a slave for 6 years and then had to be released, but for foreign slaves there was no time limit restrictions. Lev 25:44-46, Exo 21:1-27, Deut 15:11-14. Any yes there was slavery for those who stole and could not pay back double for what they stole.
  24. This passage of scripture is addressing those who are rich & corrupted those who become wealthy though fraudulent means. You would agree that not everyone who is wealthy are corrupt and fraudulent. So in the same manner not everyone who owned a slave was unjust and evil, being the bible clearly permitted it and give instructions on slavery as mentioned in my OP.
  25. I often hear the argument that God condemns slavery, but the truth of the matter, there are places in the bible where God permits and justifies slavery and gives instructions on slavery practices. See the following scripture references: Lev 25:44-46, Exo 21:1-27, Deut 15:11-14. Furthermore some may argue that it was only OT practices and not allowed under NT, but we find where Paul gives instructions to Christian slave owners and slaves: Eph 6:5-8, Col 3:22-24, 1Tim 6:1-2, 1Pet 2:18, Titus 2:9-10. In addition, Paul wrote a letter to a Christian slave owner regarding how he had found one of his runaway slaves who had become a Christian and was asking the slave owner to receive him back and to treat him kindly (Philemon 1:10-16). The point I am making saying the bible condemns slavery is a very weak argument if not entirely invalid, being that slavery was a permitted practice in the bible.
