  1. It is possible to give advice from every facet in life from Christian teaching. Putting it into practical terms is what a great pastor does. A good way next time maybe don't read the bible but judge the problem righteously from the heart and if it correlates with the bible the holy spirit will work through you to help solve the problems. Its just a suggestion ,I am in no means an expert on this issue.
  2. google Stanley Hilton and research it very interesting.
  3. Ron Paul's big chance for a modest splash Andrew Malcolm LA Times Saturday February 2, 2008 This could be a big weekend for Rep. Ron Paul's longshot but determined campaign to acquire some Republican delegates in the race for his party's presidential nomination. The 72-year-old, 10-term Texas congressman has been largely dissed and dismissed by party politicians and the media in this lengthening primary race. But his loyal followers have been more than generous in recent weeks, donating nearly $20 million in the last three months of 2007 to make him the most successful GOP fundraiser then and the only one to increase his donations every quarter last year. According to Paul's website, supporters have given another $5+ million since Jan. 1. On Friday Republicans started three days of caucusing in Maine, a largely.... rural state where Paul's brand of independence and smaller government might well fit. He's got several hundred volunteers working the caucuses with the same kind of determination and imagination that drove Paul to a distant second-place finish behind Mitt Romney in Nevada's caucuses last month. (Article continues below) Paul is using his funds judiciously, traveling around the country and speaking largely under the major media's radar. He did well in the Louisiana caucuses and even beat out Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson elsewhere, though he finished dead last in the Florida primary. Earlier this week he campaigned in Washington state speaking to a sizeable crowd of enthusiastic students in Seattle about the economy and possible recession. "The most important thing you can do is nothing," said the one-time Libertarian candidate for president, who recently voted against the $146 billion economic stimulus package. Paul holds the market should be allowed to correct itself while a restrained and reduced federal government stops trying to protect millions from the economic consequences of their bad decisions. Paul was the only Republican candidate to actually visit Maine, which could go over well with locals. The nonbinding caucuses are the first step toward picking 18 Maine delegates who'll travel to the national convention in St. Paul next August. A win in Maine on a slow news weekend as the only presidential preference voting underway just before Super Tuesday could garner Paul priceless free publicity. Paul's message of strict constitutionalism has attracted an eclectic crowd of disaffected Democrats and Republicans and libertarians who've formed more than 1,400 meet-up groups across the country. They see their freedoms threatened by such legislation as the Patriot Act and want to bring the troops home from abroad and spend the money on domestic priorities. Although Paul typically gets the least speaking time during GOP debates, if he isn't barred from participating altogether, he makes the most of his time. He drew numerous positive reviews after the recent Republican debate at the Reagan Library when he said it makes no sense to bomb bridges in other countries only to rebuild them with American taxpayers' money while the bridges at home are falling down. "The Constitution was written for one specific purpose," Paul recently told a Seattle crowd, "and that was to restrain government, not to restrain the people."
  4. The U.S. could learn from other countries where chemical addiction is viewed as a medical epidemic and not criminalize it. The way to stem the flow is good rehabilitative treatment rather than throw in a cell to regenerate to society repeating the cycle.
  5. Asside from the fact that it's sinful to break the laws of your city, nothing. The only reason I can see for not indulging in illegal drugs is simply because they are illegal. God sets law makers and laws in place for our protection. I trust Him. Abortion is legal does that mean its ok too? How does this law protect us? Alcohol kills more Americans than anything. Alcoholics should not be given a free pass. 80% of criminals had been drinking prio to a crime according to statistics. The alcoholics in Washington will never change. Its contradictory to serve drinks all night in a bar and send people home plastered then charge them with drunk driving and manslaughter. Its a double standard.

  7. paying around 1000 dollars a month in income taxes a person should receive a return. Where is our money going ? Thats a third of total income for that person. The record deficit along with the outsourcing ,globalization and amnesty to illegal criminals is enough. This country can't take anymore. Notice there is no mention of what is happening overseas that was started by looking for one man who still has not been found.
  8. Selective morality is being used when a person says its ok for their kids to be gay as well. We will still love them. Noone can question the love someone has for their children because even those of the world love their own. Christianity is a selective morality which requires us to follow in that through faith the law that was passed by Moses. Non -christians have a selective morality which leads to gay marriage among other sins. No throwing stones just judging righteously by fruits. It is the Lords place to judge but even we are to be able to judge the smallest matters .
  9. An unrepentant gay who uses the covenant of marriage as a mockery is a problem.
  10. Sometimes spanking is the only thing that works for an unruly child. I know from experience and talking to other parents.
  11. Ron Paul is a revolutionary who will defend the constitution moreso than any other. We have more mercy on animals when they are suffering with terminal pain. People are treated less humanely with suffering they must go through.
  12. He should win but won't. This country wants Clinton.
  13. We as believers should rely on the Lord and his teaching not personal feelings. Wether you want to be gay or not is your business but don't come in here and asks for blessings because you won't find it here. The excuse about abstaining from all sin while in faith is a lame attempt at justifying sexual perversion activities.
  14. As those great thoughts for her come out she was seen at an LA club getting drunk again. Her new song 'give me more ' , just hits the shelves! Michael Jackson her friend must be proud of her being able to handle all that pressure and still be able to party hard! Madonna who was such a big influence is now studying karballa. Britney is still learning where Israel is on the map.
  15. The scripture does address the morality question. The ends do not justify the means. Killing one to save thousands is not acceptable for scripture. The scenario is unrealistic but the point is there. In this example the police would be able to throw everyone in jail without a trial until the suspect is found. The suspect found does not justify the injustice rendered to the innocent people whose lives are ruined by the actions of law enforcement. The fear mongering by the media and govt. agencies are a device being used to extend their agendas.
  16. Thats a very good analysis and description to me. Morality isn't objective to me. The holy spirit discerns what is morally right and wrong for us. I believe when a person is not walking in faith that discernment isn't always either. Its like if you walk outside the perimeter you do it at your own risk.
  17. not to get too far off topic, but while Spirit motivated discernment of the scriptures is Biblical, "personal revelation", in addition to the scriptures, is a construct of the charismatic movement: anyone can claim anything these days concerning "what God told me" we need more noble Bereans in 2007, and less people making claims outside what the scripture reveals Acts 17 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Many of the Jews believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men. that was a time when God WAS revealing new truth, and yet these men still carefully searched the scriptures I'm not charismatic but I don't judge those people because they have in common the fellowship of God. I agree we need more people making claims what is truth. You misunderstood what I meant I think. Let me explain since you seem to have alot of knowledge. The Lord guides people through trials and daily life according to walk in faith.
  18. This is where faith without works is dead. That means the fruits of being gay proves a person is living outside of faith because faith requires that person to abstain from having sexual encounters with people from the same gender.
  19. Its good to use conventional thinking and going to church on Sunday for some people. Some people have the desire to seek God in unconventional ways. Does God reach out to teach us more or is it all black and white? Thanks and peace
  20. Revelation is Johns vision while in the spirit. Alot of the conventional interpretation isn't parallel with the scripture. I hope I spelled that right.
  21. This theory would lead to the conclusion that antichrist would wage war with Islam. Does this mean you believe the antichrist will rise from the West? Picture this ; the antichrist is actually within us all. The sinful nature of man.. Anti which refers to everything polar opposite of christ which conquered sin and the law through the sacrifice.Anything that goes against the teaching of christ would qualify and may be what the scripture is pointing to. Revelation is a dream that is referred to with very loose interpretation. john '18Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.' '22Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist
  22. When we die the judgement remains the same wether its tonight or tomorrow. Its always a good day to die.
  23. There wasn't really any good reasons there sorry. It weeds out the under achievers without giving a free pass. There are schools set up for advanced students. The kids who choose to go there and eligible go. Some kids prefer to stay in the frey.
  24. I don't like going to churches but the one my family has been going to is pretty good. The music is way too loud for me is the only complaint I have.
