  1. Aren't you contradicting yourself when you say there are no absolutes?
  2. That's a wonderful thing you are wanting to do. You may want to consider contacting the American Bible Society.
  3. Sweet Leonard, I hope I'm not hearing tone of prejudice? Especially over a situation involving one person. I give that person credit for atleast working and I'm sure that the person working at Wendy's is NOT an illegal immigrant, since they are required to have a SSN Believe it our not, in the next 20 years the white population will actually become the minority here in the US. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nancy, it isn't an extraordinary expectation that an employee at a restaurant should speak english in America... now, is it? That's the problem with immigration nowadays. There's no more assimilation. Now, immigrants come over and all congregate in a certain part of town and create "Little Tokyo, Chinatown, the barrio, etc." Listen, my father was an immigrant. I'm a first generation American. But, guess what... I'm American. I'm as German as they come, but I do not look at that as who I am. I have no ties to Germany or the German culture. My father is the same. That's what's missing these days. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree that they should be able to communicate and if they cannot speak english that they should not be in a position of customer service until they can communicate with the majority. I agree. If they are legal immigrants, they should be welcome. But I worked fast food for a year. I know how difficult that job is with a langauge barrier. If someone has that job they should have to speak proper English, simple as that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks that you agree that that legal immigrants should be welcomed and respected. I get a little uptight when they are referred to negatively since they were born in another country. I hear that a lot from my mother, who is very prejudiced. So if I sounded a little uptight earlier, thats the reason. I also agree that Bush can do better, but we also have to take a close look at the farmers. They hire the illegals so they don't have to pay taxes etc. I think that the gov't should provide incentives for hiring legal citizens and penalties for hiriing illegals. I also agree that better border patrol is needed. I don't claim to have all the answers, but Pat Robertson needs a head check for the comments he's been stating lately. What's his deal?
  4. You can include me in the multitude of prayers
  5. I would think being that God was all knowing and jesus was the son of God that Jesus would have known better to tell people he was preaching to that they would see the end times before they died. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jesus offers eternal life. What place has death amongst the living? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So those people he was preaching to are still alive?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Matthew 34Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 35That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. No matter how many times He gave the Jews warnings, they never listened, instead they persecuted and killed the messangers, and seeing him in person they are still rejecting him and it will continue through the following generations. vs. 39 I believe is predicting the triumphant entry. 24Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Luke 23And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. 25For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? 26For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father

Don't worry sweetie You won't be here to experience the tribulation, as long as you continue to trust and live with Christ, you'lll be spared from HIS judgements here on earth when you are taken during the rapture. Praise God!

  8. I ran across this presentation about the increasing spread of Islam and their efforts to take over the world. Some of the graphics is really stunning and down right spooky. http://www.conceptwizard.com/pipeline_of_hatred.html
  9. I voted it is level because the Lord keeps you on level ground. When you cast your cares at the foot of the cross, you don't want it rolling down a hill, right?
  10. Just incase anyone was wondering: Oh, btw My first time at age 13 was a groundskeeper at a Condominium complex. I did this for two years and got my hands dirty.
  11. Oh, Give me a break!!! I guess we should have impeached Clinton (twice) and also Reagon. It just happens that Bush is president when 9/11 occurred and politicians are trying to point fingers from every direction to Bush when it comes to National Security. I don't believe that the illegals cause more crime than those who are citizens of USA. If anything they bring the values of hard work, religion and family dedication. We also incourage their coming by giving them jobs that americans won't do. Our teenagers used to do the work that the illegals are doing, but no the teens rather sponge on mom and dad and if they do work, dare not get their hands dirty. Our next generation needs to learn what it is to do hard work, so they can appreciate what they have. I vote to put our youth back into the fields. If we work these jobs again, I truly feel that there will be less illegal immigration. Americans need to get off their high horses and come back to the old values that these immigrants seem to have. Hope I didn't offend anyone. We just need to open our eyes. And I don't clain to have all the answers. Just offering it IMHO.
  12. No backlash here. You were speaking the truth. I thought the same thing when I first heard this report. Who in their right mind would try to make greasy food ok for our bodies?
  13. I like him too. It seems like he won't let other's influence from what he feel is the right direction for Israel. I think that Sharon has been letting the US influence him too much and is afraid of losing US support.
  14. How so true Kansas Dad. AG, Don't let the evil one keep you away from God's family. It's so important to keep your fellowship with brothers and sisters of Christ. I feel that you some how have a part of you that still wants to reach out to this community and that it has blessed you some way or you wouldn't have posted this farewell message. AG, continue to seek the Lord and his word, but don't hesitate to ask questions here at Worthy. Aren't you glad that God gave us our personal mind and opinion? By seeking you will find HIM and we are here to help each other discover the answers of our heart's questions. You will accomplish more in numbers than being by alone. By leaving God's family, Satan has you right where he wants you. He is fighting for your soul and will cause you to be confused. Please don't let that happen. We will be praying for you
  15. Netanyahu: Jerusalem is under siege Gil Hoffman, THE JERUSALEM POST Aug. 31, 2005 Former prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu accused Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of caving into American pressure on Wednesday for not building in the E-1 area between Jerusalem and Ma'aleh Adumim. Netanyahu made E-1 his first stop on the campaign trail on Wednesday morning, touring the area with former minister Natan Sharansky, Ma'aleh Adumim mayor Benny Kashriel, Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, and Likud MKs Michael Ratzon, Ehud Yatom, Michael Gorlovsky, and Ayoub Kara. Standing on a barren desert hilltop north of Jerusalem, Netanyahu told reporters that if he is elected prime minister, he will build 15,000 housing units in the area, in an effort to connect Jerusalem and Ma'aleh Adumim and prevent illegal Palestinian construction from cutting off Ma'aleh Adumim from the capital. "We have to break the siege on Jerusalem," Netanyahu said. "There is a battle for Jerusalem. Sharon has frozen the building here and prevented the creation of a greater Jerusalem. Instead, he is enabling the creation of a greater Palestine." Netanyahu used the occasion to remind the Likud's 150,000 members that despite American pressure, he approved building in E-1 and prevented the Palestinians from separating Jerusalem from Bethlehem by settling the Har Homa neighborhood at the southern end of Jerusalem. Responding to Sharon's charges that he "caves in under pressure," Netanyahu turned the tables on Sharon by accusing him of succumbing to American pressure. He said that he would not allow Washington to dictate whether Israel will build in the Jerusalem area. "So [the Americans] object, so what? It's Jerusalem!" Netanyahu said. "I withstood American pressure, but Sharon surrendered in a shameful way. There can be no limitation on building in our eternal capital." Netanyahu's bureau chief Yehiel Leiter said that as prime minister, Netanyahu would explain to American officials that it is necessary to build in E-1 to defend Jerusalem. Noting that Har Homa is never mentioned in Washington anymore, the adviser said that the Americans might object at first, but they will eventually understand. Sharon told The Jerusalem Post recently that he intends to build in E-1, but he didn't set a timetable. Netanyahu said that when Sharon withdrew from the Gaza Strip, he should have built in E-1 at the same time to send a message to the Palestinians. "The prime minister is encouraging the Palestinians by starting a precedent of withdrawing to 1967 lines, giving into international demands against building, and by allowing Palestinians to build illegally, unchecked," he said. "After three years as prime minister and another three as a minitser, suddenly Bibi has discovered E1," Sharon's spokesman said. "Bibi can continue to talk and Sharon will continue to do," he added. Sharansky said that as housing and construction minister, he informed the American ambassador when he decided to build on the West Bank and the ambassador would respond that America opposes such construction without making a scandal out of it. He said that America does not want to be in the role of settlement policeman. "The Americans never let us build a house in Judea and Samaria

  17. Crystal- You are right for feeling betrayed. If he was uncomfortable than he should have recommended you talk to his wife. Many YP wives are very active in ministering along side their husband, even though they are not being paid by the church. He probably didn't think twice about sharing your letter with her. But, if you have a grievence, than the biblical thing is to do is to talk to your YP about how you felt so that any resentment that you may hold can not be a tool that the enemy can use agains you. Get my drift.
  18. It will be rebuilt. But will take some great time. I just can't figure how living in a city shaped that a bowl, below sea level would be apealing However, the loss of life and homes just tears my heart. I lived through my share of hurricanes and they are really frightening. Praise God my home has always been spared. I just pray the remnant that still is in New Orleans will get out soon, I don't want to see any more deaths. I'm also praying that disease will not spread.
  19. Ronald- I hope you mean the preacher and not Crenshaw. This is such a tragedy and total disregard of human life. I 'm praying for the families.

  22. Honey, That is great that you are seeing your mentor again. Fill your life with christian friends. They are your true family. As for the guy thing, let it go. Don't let yourself be tempted by the unbelievers. That's the enemies favorite ploy. Guard your heart with the sword of God's word and let God guide you.
