  1. I appreciate you mentioning Lot's wife and the Israelites turning their desires back because of the comforts they were missing. A needed reminder!
  2. Thank you Patricia for sharing.
  3. Looking forward to hearing your dream concerning America. And I am glad that in your dream the Christian was prepared.
  4. Some people do, true. I dont, personally. I think there are always going to be a lot of views on the rapture because there's no structure to it, so anyone could be right, y'know? There are 3 main schools of thought on the subject, yet even within those there are several camps who disagree with one another. Because Rapture theology is what it is, there will always be discussion, several in fact, on when and how and who and who's right and what happens next. And this is because there's no structure, Darby didn't think to make it clear, he just created it and let it run. While i think debate and discussion is good and is almost essencial to bettering yourself and being open minded to other's belief systems, the Rapture theology is unfortuantely a much too debated myth. MYTH? You consider the Rapture a myth?
  5. I was just reading a prophecy that was given to George Washington our first president. It reminds me of this one. However, George Washington predicted salvation at the end of the terrible war he foresaw. And "Thoughtful" I was not thinking of your post at all when I mentioned that about the alcohol..but yes, it is true that sarcasm is lost on some people, particularly when written and not spoken.
  6. So you are a user of collodal silver? I know that many people get great results with it. Since we started taking the vitaman D, at least 800 - 1200 mgs a day virus and flu has not touched us. Of course I do not know the future but am grateful for the past!
  7. According to what I am reading he was not a user of alcohol at all.
  8. Can not judge a vision without knowing the prophet. Found this site about the man: http://www.eaec.org/TruthAboutAAAllen.htm
  9. This is an amazing situation which I am sure Satan plans to use to harm the entire church nation wide. In the Name of JESUS focused persevering prayer needs to be prayed concerning this group of haters. The rest of us need to be praying diligently and with steadfast focused bent that GOD put a stop to this infiltration of Satan. Of course they need the true love of Christ. But they also need to be stopped. And God Almighty is the One to appeal to. Let us pray for his intervening in this situation. He can use what He sees fit and who He sees fit but prayer is still the way to hinder the works of Satan.
  10. Nothing gives grief and pain like a broken relationship. Do all that you are suppose to do and then loose the entire situation to the LORD. Be led by Him. Rest in Him. He is the only One who has the answers. And do not grieve exceedingly. But rather enjoy that which God has given. Once you have given something over to God then you can Trust in Him entirely. And He will act. And that is what you want. You want God to act. Perhaps if you reread and meditate upon Psalm 37 you will be led and helped.
  11. We can perhaps believe it and be clean at the same time!
  12. I always figured cleanliness was next to godliness because both take so much effort to keep up!
  13. Hey Patricia, How wonderful that you understood what I was describing. I think we can identify with ole Jonah pretty well, except for his continued rebellion. Like you say, maybe later on he changed. I would think so.
  14. I have noticed in the past that one of my responses toward the LORD is to turn away. By that I mean I turn from having my daily time of devotions and prayer time. If there is something in me that needs to be dealt with yet I do not consciously realize that I need to be dealt with I find myself neglecting prayer. Somehow way down deep I do know that God is going to be dealing with me and so my first response is to like Jonah, turn away. But of course I always turn back and when I do I am always amazed that way down deep inside I knew there was something that God would be touching that I did not want to face. Yet when it is all done and I have submitted to God, it is so good! .........Wow, as for sentence structure the above is rough. But hopefully the idea comes across! So I really do understand Jonah in a way. I understand his turning away. But I am sorry for his continued response of anger. We never see Jonah change. God deals with him and yet he continues to rebel against the dealings of the LORD. He portrays a hard bitter spirit towards his fellow man.
  15. Rebecca2, Thanks very much for sharing your information. I simply did not know all this in detail. I had a vague understanding at best as to symptons. This is good knowledge to have. Many blessings!
  16. The "pack leader" should always be the HUMAN OWNER. It's up to your daughter to straighten the dogs out. It may take some time, but eventually the dogs will get used to the cats around. But your daughter should be the one taking control of the situation. I'm assuming there are no aggression problems in the dogs and that your daughter has a good hold over them. Sierra is so very right. I have raised German Shepherds for many years now. The human owner must be the pack leader. And then it does not matter what the dogs want only what the owner says. If the owner insists that all will accept the cats then they will. Indeed it may take some time and effort on the daughter's part but it should not be that hard. German Shepherds love having cats as part of the household once they are made to understand just that, that the cats are part of the home.
  17. Such good common sense tactics still prove themselves, don't they!
  18. There is no way that you are responsible if she CHOOSES to quit. That is her decision alone. However, the next time she says that you are driving her crazy you simply need to ask her how. Ask her to point out exactly what it is about you that is so distracting to her. This should open a door for her to look at her accusations more carefully and also invite her to be specific instead of so general in her complaint. Sometimes that alone is enough to defuse a situation. I do know that trying to keep out of someone's way is never the answer. The air is too full of tension and stress.
  19. No doubt the calling of Jonah was for Jonah as well as for the people of Ninevah. It interests me greatly that Jonah knew the LORD so well. He was intimate with him. He talked to him as to a man. He had relationship with the LORD to a great degree. Yet he was angry. This shows me that having intimate fellowship with the Lord and experiencing his presence does not necessarily keep a Christian from looking at people with a bitter spirit. We must be careful that a bitter root does not spring up and defile many.
  20. .......About that pocketbook or purse........... thanks bundles for that tip.
  21. May the LORD intervene and have mercy on this child. Father I ask you in the Name of Jesus to strenthen and deliver this child and restore her to her family. I do plead the cleansing blood of Jesus upon her. amen
  22. All the posts are so very informative. And this is simply what we need, information. Informed people can make decisions that affect life in a positive way. For instance I saw a woman who worked in a popular fast food place here washing her hands and she only washed the palm part of the hand. She washed a lengthy spell and considered herself careful but never washed around the nails or the wrist. It really bothered me that she had not been educated by management on the proper way to wash hands. She handled food for eight hours a day with hands not properly washed. It should also be a part of our education that you wash hands under running water. And of course scripture teaches the same. The hygiene taught in the Old Testament is fundamental.
  23. Oh Rebecca2, I hear you loud and clear! I surely do! I have felt the same sentiments so many times. Thank you for posting!
  24. I would suggest to you that Prophets knowing themselves, knowing humanity and knowing the evil of the deeds are moved more towards justice than to the other you mention. I disagree about Jonah " accusing God " for His compassion towards the " truly repentant " because one thing that a true Prophet of God knows is that without the compassion of God towards himself, he would be in the same sinking boat. Jonah may have understood the compassion of God towards himself but he did not particularly care about sharing that compassion. He was angry over the lawless society and desired judgment rather than repentance and a demonstration of compassion from God. Therefore when speaking to God his description was more of an accusation than a description of thankfulness.
