yod, I totally understand your frustration toward the liberal media. Because of our move to San Diego and unpacking and all... I haven't spent much time watching the news. So, I think that I have been spared some of the frustration that you have been going through. I turned it on today, just to check in... you are totally right, the lead story was still prisoner abuse and how Bush is supposively responsible. Downright, madness! Maybe you are not... I don't have anything against your viewpoint yod, but maybe you are confusing me with someone else. Where in my post did I present this information as fact? Maybe someone else has posted here who has done this, maybe the websites that I get my information from do that, but if you reread my original post here, I NEVER presented this as absolute fact. I was trying to say that IF these conspiracy theories are true... then it becomes more likely that what is probably going on, is that there are individuals, who are more than likely, being manipulated by satan, to perform acts, or to see that those acts are performed, to incite rage on both sides of this conflict. Does that make any sense to you? Based on your reasoning, the following is an implication on your part... I have always presented these ideas as theories, that is why they are called conspiracy theories. A theory is usually based on "some fact" and "mostly hypothesis". Until it becomes irrefutable, it is still that a theory. You used the same word in your paragraph above. Just so we are all on the same page here. Yes, these are theories. Yes, that means that the may or may not be true. Does it hurt me to believe that they could be true? No. Does it hurt me to believe that Oswald didn't act alone? No. Does it hurt me to believe that McVey didn't act alone (beyond Terry Nichols)? No. Might I be better off if I keep myself guarded that my own government might be lying to me? Absolutely. But, again my point of the above post is that whether these things are true or not, is it going to do me any good to become extremely hateful toward the Islamic people? I don't think that hatred toward any person is rigtheous. Please correct me if I am wrong. Yes, we are to hate the sin, but the sinner? It is very possible (not saying it's fact) that these attrocities are being committed (or staged if you believe that) for the sole purpose of igniting both sides into a rage that will not stop until the Arab nations attack Israel with all out force. When will they attack? I have no idea. But I do know, that it is a fact that they will, based on Ezekiel 38 & 39. So then, it is possible that the very events that are happening right now, could actually be leading up to that event (Battle of Gog & Magog) which means, that puts us that much closer to the Lords return. I'm in 100% agreement with you, Other One. Yet, acting on something that is less than true can be just as disastrous. I don't doubt that you are speaking sincerely and with holy integrity when you talk about these things....yet I just want to verify everything before I allow it to sink into my heart and that's why I've been tenacious in asking for proof whenever these secret societies are brought up (by anyone) I'm going to keep an open mind on these matters because I know they exist. My only disagreement with you is on how much influence they actually wield. And of course they don't publish newspapers (or do they?) announcing their intent or they wouldn't be called "secret" societies...but there has to be some tangible irrefutable evidence somewhere, eh? yod, I agree 100% with other one on this issue. He also has proof that the secret orginizations "at the highest levels" are pure satanic worship. They talked about in this meeting that there will be three kinds of people in the world. 1.) Those who are "enlightened" (a very New Age word) and see the truth of the coming christ (who will actually be the Antichrist) 2.) Those who are "undecided" and will still have a chance. 3.) Those who "deny the truth". This group of people (according to the illuminati) will be purged from the earth for not seeing the truth. This, of course, is how they will easily explain away the fact that millions of Christians, have just dissappeared. They will say that because they were close-minded and intolerant, they have been "taken out" and all that are left now are those who are "enlightened" and those who are still undecided. Of course, those who are undecided will eventually be able to make their choice of either death or "enlightenment" by either being beheaded, or worshiping the "christ" and taking his mark of loyalty. Again, I need to clarify myself and say that it may or may not, happen this way. But, irregardless of whether it does or not, the point remains that these secret societies DO EXIST and they DO HAVE AN AGENDA! yod, you questioned how much power do they actually wield. Well, IF they are being led by satan himself, how much power does satan wield? Alot of power, but certainly NEVER enough to overpower my GOD! I know there was another thread by the same name... but that thread had started to be used for comic relief, which I think was well needed and funny. However, I wanted to share some new ideas with you all, on this subject, and so I thought I would start a new thread on this. First off, let me say that I believe that our government is NOT always 100% truthful with us. I also don't believe that the media is always 100% truthful with us. I'm sorry, but I am with others on this one that if you believe that they are 100% truthful, than yes, you are living in the land of naitivity. I seriously don't think that anyone on these boards believes that either entity is 100% truthful, all of the time. Where I think we run into our debate is "how" untruthful are they? Are they intentionally misleading us? Are they being controlled and manipulated by a higher power? In other words, is someone else (possibly a group of people) behind the scenes, pulling the strings? I know that this concept, the concept of a conspiracy theory, is quite hard for many to swallow. Of course, the best ploy of a conspirator, is to get people to think that there really isn't a conspiracy at all. If they can do that, they have won more than half the battle. Now, here is where I am coming from on this. I don't think it does any good to rant and rave (like the Alex Jones' type) about the conspirators, because in my opinion, whether they exist or not, God is still in control. However, I do think it is a good idea to take what these conspiracy theorists are saying and weigh it out. Ask yourself the question, could this possibly be happening? I believe that based on the following verse: 2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way. (KJV) 2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains {will do so} until he is taken out of the way. (NASB) This proves that satan is already at work, behind the scenes, most likely using conspirators that he can persuade, to set up the framework that he will need to come on to the scene and rule the world. The only reason that he hasn't done so, so far, is that he that is restraining satan, has not let him go yet. So, once we can accept the fact that there could be a group of people working behind the scenes to accomplish satans work here on earth, then we can look at some (not all) of the things that Alex Jones and David Bay http://www.cuttingedge.org and others are saying and simply ask ourselves, could these horrific events actually be played out by group that has ONE INTENTION... Get the people of these two opposite forces, Islamics and Christians/Jews to hate each other, to the point of going to war! To the point that they would attack Israel. They hate the Jews and the Christians. Anyone who hates Jews and Christians is being manipulated by satan. However, I think that it works the other way around too. Anyone who hates, the Muslims, Arabs, Al Queda, et all, is also being manipulated by satan. That is exactly what he wants. He wants to use the image of someone being decapitated (I haven't seen it, in its entirety, nor do I need to, to get the gist of it) or buildings falling and crushing innocent people to death, or naked Iraqui prisoners being sexually abused, to incite hatred between to two sides. We must wake up and realize that we are being manipulated by satan himself if we allow these images to incite us to battle. Am I saying that I am not for the war? No, I do believe that we should defend ourselves, but I don't believe that we have to go anywhere other than our own borders to do that. I originally intended to post the article that David Bay wrote concerning the beheading that shows how he believes that by the date, and the act itself, and other details of the event, it looks much like a satanic, illuminist act. If you want to read the article, its NEWS1917 on his site. However, I felt convicted half way through this post, that it not so much that I need to convince others that this conspiracy exists. More that I need to let others know that satan is doing everything in his power to incite all out hatred between these two opposing forces. However you feel he is going about that, really doesn't matter. The point is, if we allow ourselves to get "hooked" and take the bait and "hate" the enemy, satan has won. We must be Christ like and follow His example. If that means being led to the slaughter house like a lamb, then so be it. If we showed our love toward the Islamic nation, which I think is immpossible to do without Christ in us, than maybe, just maybe, we could help diffuse the tension. Eric, Please forgive my ignorance in not knowing that all who aren't of the Muslim religion are called "infidels". I certainly wasn't trying to pick a fight with you, I was only asking for clarification. So, I have learned something new and I am very greatful for that. That is one of the things I like most about these boards is that I am continually learning new things. As far as you getting hot under the collar about posters coming here and telling all... Thank you for putting me in my place. I realize that I get a little carried away when talking about this stuff because it's so amazing to be living in these times and to be watching this all unfold right before our eyes. You are right... None of us really know how things are actually going to play out. So I apologize for coming across as some expert or someone with "special" knowledge. I should have said in my post, that IMO, that is how things "COULD POSSIBLY" play out. I am certainly not saying that absolutely for sure. I know there are certain things that we can be sure of. There WILL be a battle between Israel and the Arab nations (and not all of them either) and Russia will be involved. There WILL be a supernatural end to the battle and 2/3 of their armies will be destroyed by God. As far as "when" this will all take place, you are right... no one really knows. However, IF (and I agree, that is a big IF) things continue the way they are (with terrorist attacks, followed by repeated atrocities by US Troops or their Allies) this will no doubt have an impact on the tensions between the Arabs (Muslims) and the Israelites. I personally don't think things are going to get any bettter before the "proverbial balloon goes up". I wouldn't call my post, and my response to your question, getting in a "tizz", I think that for some people, it helps to "show" them these things that are happening, and show them how this is all prophesied in the Bible so that they have a realization that we are truly living in the very last days. In regards to the 200 million horsemen? Your guess is as good as mine. I have heard many people point to China on that one, merely because of the sheer size of the army. First off, I would like you to clarify what you are saying here... Are "you" calling Russians, Americans, Jews and Chrisitans of any nation infidels? I certainly hope "YOU" are not making that statement. I hope that you are merely saying that the islamic nations and people, consider these people infidels! PLEASE CLARIFY THIS FOR ME! THANKS! Second, to answer your question: 1.) I do believe that Russia is "in bed" with many of the Arab nations, hence the whole "food for oil" scandal. Russia has also been supplying the Arab nations with weapons for quite some time. 2.) Putin has had a meteoric rise to power. He is now wanting to turn Russia back into the Soviet Union it once was. He completely "fixed" this past election so that he was clearly the only choice for the Russian people to vote for. By the next election, I'm guessing, there won't even be one as he will most likely have become a dictator by then. 3.) Granted, it is not exactly clear, by reading Ezekiel 38 & 39, that Russia will actually "lead" the Arab nations into war against Israel, but there is no doubt that she will definitely be involved in that war. 4.) Don't even get me started on the "road map for peace". First off, what a joke. and Second, do you really think that the Isrealis will give up any of their land? And, third, the Palestinians don't want the land, they want to eradicate the Jews! So even though, Putin is part of this quartet behind the Road Map, this whole "Road Map" thing is just a political dance to satisfy the "people" and it not worth a hill of beans. It will continue like this until the Gog and Magog war. Then after the war, which will be miraculously ended by God, the Antichrist will stand up and say the he is the one responsible for "saving" Israel and will make a 7 year peace treaty with her and many nations. This of course will be broken 3 1/2 years later... The whole premise behind the actions of (some - not all) of the US Military is to incite such rage into the Islamic people that even civil law abiding citizens will be so outraged they will want to wage an all out war against the Western Civilizations. As long as she had been married to a Muslim, this lady just did not realize the extreme sensitivity they exhibited over an infidel violation of a mosque.

It's true! They have had the technology to make carburators that allow 100+ miles per gallon for some time now. Imagine, 100 miles per quart. How much farther would our money go? I think there is more than the oil cartel at work here. I wonder sometimes if the price of gas is what stimulates or slows down the economy, based on which direction the "powers that be" want it to go. In other words. If the economy is looking like it going to run "too hot", all you have to do is raise the gas prices to slow it down. Almost everyone relies on gas consumption, either directly or indirectly. I know that the Feds are supposed to regulate the economy with the interest rates, but I think the interest rates are more to slow down or speed up the stock market. Just my 2 cents. But, it certainly makes you wonder. Our economy was sputtering when 9/11 happened, but it "was" sputtering in the upward direction. I think, based on Harry Dent's book, The Roaring 2000's, the economy was supposed to skyrocket in the 2000's literally to the point of the DOW JONES industrials reaching 40,000+. I think that because of 9/11 the economy was held back, and almost like pulling a rubberband backward, it wants to go forward, but the tragedy of the horrific events held peoples spending back. Now, we are seeing the economy racing back, trying to make up for lost time. How, do I know this? If the economy wasn't screaming upward right now, the American people would be completely outraged by the recent skyrocketing gas prices. Yes, people are upset, but they haven't stopped consuming just as much gas as they were just prior to the major jump in prices. So, this is what leads me to believe that the gas prices are what controls the speed of the economy. If the gas prices wouldn't have jumped the way they did, it's quite possible that the economy would have spun upward, out of control, causing too much chaos and pandemonium. The same type of thing would have to happen if they were to allow mass production of these electric trucks, or those cars that get 100 miles to the quart. Gas prices would have to match those new, lower gas consumption rates and you would soon start to see gas prices reaching into the $7 to $8 per gallon range and maybe even more like $10. Right now, those prices seem outrageous, but if we all started driving cars that got 4 or 5 times better gas milage, then the gas prices would HAVE to reflect that to keep the economy in check. reaperman, Sorry about not answering your question specifically. I will do that here: I get my faith from the Word of God. Using many of the same verses that others have posted here. As far as keeping it alive during times of crisis? That seems to me to be the time when it shines the most. I find that sometimes when things are going great and all is good that I tend to get a little prideful thinking that I am the one who made all of this happen. Then, when tragedy or crisis strikes I find myself clinging to God wanting Him to get me out of the current situation or crisis. When I am walking right with God, I understand that He is in control of my life. However, satan doesn't like it too much when I am walking right with God and so he starts messing with me, trying to discourage me, putting roadblocks up in my path. When I realize what is actually happening, then I rejoice because I know that I am moving in the right direction because if I wasn't, then satan would just leave me alone and wouldn't attack me. So, I look up and praise God in times of crisis (not those crisis' like Mike wrote of the can be avoided, but crisis' that come our way that are beyond our control, like a rock cracking your winshield, or a loved one getting sick and going in the hospital, or getting food poisining at a restaraunt, things like that) because I know that satan is trying to get at me and I am not going to let him. I base this thinking on the following verses:

Bob, That is the challenge we all face. It's not that politics and Christianity don't mix, it's that it is extremely difficult to "get" the votes, or to please the right people, by taking a "firm" stance for Christ while being a politician. I believe that the problem is that too many Christian think that they don't mix and so they shy away from politics. Therefore, often times we are left with what Yod said... "The lesser of two evils". jamie, To answer your question, I don't believe that a "true" Christian would be able to take a liberal stance on "moral" issues (i.e. homosexual rights, abortion, etc.). However, we also have to be careful not to "assume" that someone is a Christian, just because they take the "conservative" stance on moral issues. However, I think the biggest challenge lies in this dilema: If someone has a "conservative" stance on the moral issues (that would be inline with our stance on those same issues), does that mean that they qualify to run our country, or our states or our cities? I would hope that more Christians would get involved in politics so that we would have better choices when it comes to voting. As it is, sometimes I have to vote for someone that I don't want in office, just so that don't get the other canidate (who I REALLY don't want in office) by default. It's quite the dilema, but I think that it can be fixed by getting more Christians into politics. Look at how the country was founded. These are great! Thanks Ronald for bumping this one up. My wife Alison (Only4Him777) and I weren't even here at the boards when this went around the first time. It's great getting to know a little bit about everyone. I was thinking the other day how awesome it is to feel so close to so many of you and to think that we have never even spoken to each other verbally. WOW! That's just so cool. Alison and I are both WATCHING for Jesus, so it's appropriate for both us us, but it's my personal email at MSN. We are both doing a study on the end times and thought that the name would be appropriate. Because I use it as my email address as well, it gives me an opportunity to witness to others who might ask about it. I have only had the address for a couple of months so I haven't led anyone to Christ as a result of it, YET!!!!! Marc, I agree with both you and other one. It's amazing how so many people brush off the fact that there are "secret" and "not-so-secret" organizations controlling the whole world. I have said for a while now that it is very obvious that when satan comes to rule as the antichrist, it's not like he is just going to waltz on to the scene and THEN "Start" his agenda. Of course not, he is readily at work, right now, today - working to build up his stronghold, his followers, his devotees who will foolishly give up their souls for a fleeting moment of POWER! As a result of his "workings", their are many groups (like you mentioned) that practice satanic rituals (many of them at the highest most secret levels) that are actively working to UNITE the world and prepare the world for satans rule. This article at CuttingEdge.org explains how the New World Order is teaching that there will be a "cleansing", of sorts, in which all those who are not seeking "enlightenment" will be taken out. (This, of course, is the rapture, but it will be satan's way of "decieving" everyone when the rapture occurs.) Click here for the article! You are also right on in your assesment of the "common threat". This brings about the changes necessary to produce the "antichrist" or "world savior".
