  1. The animation is better in many video games, but I hear you on the models. They lifted almost all of their shots straight from the Prince of Egypt. Animation Nation has a post on this as well. It's nice that another biblicaly-based movie was made, but why didn't Promenade Pictures (not a Disney film) pick another part of the Bible? All those lifted shots seems lazy.
  2. I noticed that too! And it ALWAYS puzzled me. Try to think of any Disney flick with both parents present in their kids lives. 101 Dalmatians comes to mind...but that's about dogs... Emporer's New Grove Lady & the Tramp (people) Peter Pan Lion King (1st section) But most don't.
  3. Just finished some major tech freelance stuff- whew. Thanks for the replies. So pre-Jesus people that knew about God and accepted Him are going to heaven & the rest are probably not. In the end, God knows the score better than us on this it seems.
  4. There's probably a biblical answer, but I forgot. God judges them maybe & sorts them out- Thanks.
  5. I often work all seven days, yet have times away from work interspersed. I try to honor God all week. So we don't need to alter our schedules it seems.
  6. I treat every day like its my last, because it very well could be.
  7. Thanks. Glad to hear there's another animator out there.
  8. It's hosted on my friend Rick's site (2nd one down). He assembled all my art w/sound for the final spot. It was my first chance to animate for a church & I enjoyed I serving in this way (sat in the congregation today when it played). Feel free to check out the first video as well (didn't work on that). http://rick.narvarte.us/movies/Movies.html
  9. Thanks for posting. Interesting. I hope it's good.
  10. And his name's- Kauffman. His name has become his destiny. I rarely cough, but if I do, keep it quiet & away from others.
  11. Thanks Kari. Makes sense. Yeah, I just read Evidence that Demands a Verdict by McD. Take care.
  12. A point I see some critics of Christianity raise is that outside the Bible, there doesn't seem to be many records of Jesus. Some say Suetonius & Josph Flavius mention him, but any idea why many more from all over the world didn't record info on the most stunning events ever to occur in history (Jesus miracles & ressurection)? Maybe because people didn't record much then (even the most important things)... Thanks-
  13. I have no idea if this has been posted before, but it's a well-run site. I've been conecting w/people from my church there. I thought it'd be cool to share what churches we go to, comment on profiles, etc. Here's mine- http://www.mychurch.org/member/47140/jeffnevins In fact- I just mentioned the best Christian forum I've encountered over the years there- WB.
  14. I took dance lessons once. I probably should've saved my money & just tried my best at various social events.
  15. I'd think God wants us around a while to keep bringing others to Christ, and for kids to have a chance to decide on whether to come to Christ. But adults & kids are alike are killed by disasters, disease & violence that all stem from a broken world. I hope to be around for Christ's return & am trying to be safe, but have no real idea when I'll bite the dust.
  16. Thanks. Whoa. I spelled it "arn" in the header....
  17. Disturbing. I wonder what the motive was? Praying as well.
  18. My Bible doesn't have commentary. Figured I'd engage w/others to find what that means. Old Hebrew expression? Thanks.
  19. Just double-checking- When he was tempted after 40 days in the wilderness, with the woman at the well & woman about to be stoned, did Jesus tell someone else who recorded the stories in the gospels? Thanks-
  20. Are you saying there are no diseases out there that are causes by genetic defects? Explain sickle-cell anemia and cystic fibrosis to me. Shalom, Exactly!! Genetic diseases are caused by genetic anomalies, not sugar and not the love of money. Exactly. Genetic anomalies aren't of sugar or love of money. There's no way I'd argue with a person online. They win. I go back to work on animation & design. A theory (keep in mind I'm an animator with an interest in health, its ties to clear thinking, and religion & Christianity) They're also not natural or of God (why would he screw up our DNA), leaving man (possibly from non-God made toxins). Take care.
  21. I'm glad your pastor shared that w/you guys. That's dead on. Refined sugar has been linked to cancer. I think the sin of the love of money is responsible for cancer, "genetic" diseases, and a host of other ailments. To save a buck, God's natural creation is ruined by high fructose corn syrup, sodium laurel sulfate, etc. They likely know the damage being done, and are in the pocket of the those dishonest medical industries (not all) making a buck off the sick public with band-aid cures. Notice how diseases pop up more frequently, and people throw money at finding a cure? Try eliminating garbage (most ingredients you can't pronounce or wouldn't want inside you) from substances that go into people. If Christians are flooding the markets with this junk and charging more for natural products (notice how the best stuff for you often costs the most?), I hope they have a change in heart.
  22. I don't consider a modern pope as an authority over God's Word. Not biblical. Some people are swayed by media figures, though. And some that blasted the pope in the past are loving his stance as another method to attack creationists. Nice weekend anyway.
  23. Thanks for posting. Yeah. I'm not trying to be a mocker or chump. I've just never been in a situation where I saw something supernatural. By Biblical times, I meant around the time the Bible was written. I've heard of people getting healed and a few other things over the years, but wasn't sure if it was coincidence; positive thinking. The broken bone story is interesting, though. Maybe some miracles make the news & are forgotten, or just don't make the news because people wouldn't believe them.
  24. You're starting this from the assumption that miracles don't happen anymore today, which is not really an assumption you can just expect everyone to accept as fact. OK.
