  1. Which one do you mean? Also, thanks for your help. I really appreciate it... If you mean the name I am using here in the forum, then yes I have tried it as well.. Okay. We're working on it... I'll PM you as soon as we find resolution. In the meantime, do you have the current version of Java on you computer? Thanks! And yes I have the most current java (jre1.5.0_06).. It has been working for several months until yesterday when the "you have been banned" came up for both my names of Amhis & Am His.

  3. Did you use the right username? All the others that you've registered have been banned. I have two user names and have tried them both. Both have always worked fine in the past and both show as banned now. The two names are "Amhis & Am His". The last time I was in chat was the day before yesterday with the user name of Am His..
  4. I usually go by "Am His" in chat. For some reason I have been banned. Could anyone of the Mods tell me what I possibly could have done to deserve to be banned? I have never ever been kicked out of chat before and have always conducted myself in a manner pleasing to my Lord and my God..

  6. I earlier mentioned a compelling belief of where the Garden of Eden may have been. Below, find the online article's information that I was alluding to. Although I don't accept this theory as fact, I do however think it is a very interesting read. http://www.ldolphin.org/eden/
  7. There are many differing beliefs as to where exactly the Garden of Eden is, but I don't think anyone knows the exact location, however most would agree that it is in Mesopotamia (Iraq). One compelling school of thought puts "The Garden of Eden" at the tip of Iraq IN the Persian Gulf, just off shore where it is now under water. Here is the description from the KJV in Genesis Chapter 2 describing the Garden of Eden's location 10And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. 11The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; 12And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. 13And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. 14And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
  8. Biblically speaking, the "cradle of humanity" in the Middle East, is thought to start on the southern tip of Iran where it touches the Gulf of Oman, going up to the northern most tip of Iran along its eastern boarder, and then curving around the northern boarders of Iraq and Syria and heading south along the Mediterranean coast to the southern most boarder of Israel, where it then follows along a line on the western most boarder of Saudi Arabia and curving east along the boarders of Yemen and Oman which completes one big circle. Others may also include Egypt into this circle. Life was said to originate in Mesopotamia which is in the area of modern day Iraq. So, for what it's worth, that is my understanding of the term "Cradle of Man" or "Cradle of Life" biblically speaking. Others mileage may vary! There are other schools of thought that do indeed consider various areas in Africa as the cradle of man.
  9. I chose other because I honestly don't know. It hasn't been revealed to me as of yet. Nor can I find where it has been actually revealed in the bible. As for God knowing me before I was born, I attribute it to God knowing all future events and souls/spirits before they came into being, including me and my life. My being a soul before I was actually born makes little sense to me. Not that I discount it out of hand. We do know that God knows all future events as if they have already happened, which might help to explain Him choosing a prophet before he was born, or knowing you before you were born. I love the following verse and I think it may be relevant in this case. "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (2Peter 3:8) I feel that this whole thing is more of a mystery that is thus far unrevealed to flesh and blood, and yet to be revealed to us by God. Since I do not think we CAN know about the exact workings of the soul, and how or when it became into being, I don't feel it is right for me to actually hold to any real belief in this area that could possibly be erroneous.
  10. There are two other things you can do with a flu or cold coming on. For the first one you would need to see a doctor and get a prescription for an anti-viral medication if it is the flu. The second one you can buy over the counter, and that is Zinc. Zinc is suppose to considerably lessen the effects of the flu or a cold, as well as shorten the duration. It must be ingested right when the flu or cold symptoms begin however to be of any real benefit. If you are a day or so into it, Zinc might help you considerably. We ingest Zinc in wafer form, about the size and shape of an alkaseltzer. You just suck on it until it is completely dissolved, and it tastes fairly good. Hope you feel better soon!
  11. While reading this thread it gave me joy to see what many of you had to say about prayer and how and why they pray. Very uplifting! I don't have much to add to this discussion except perhaps just a few personal thoughts. I don't want to get into too much depth on my travel through life, except to say that I have been brought down as low as I could imagine with the loss of my own dear son. Shortly before that time I became completely disabled and lost everything I had, both professionally and then personally, except for my wife, my surviving children, and somehow by the grace of God, my house. Through it ALL I continually gave glory and praise to God, even on the day I lost my son! I never asked why all of these things happened to me/us, because I knew and know my mind is too small compared to God to remotely understand His purposes. I never once questioned God and asked WHY? I completely trust Him to do His will in my life without questioning His purposes. I hope in saying all of this that I am not coming across as boasting. Far from it. I just wanted to maybe be a small example of one that always gives all the glory and praise to God no matter what happens in life, and trying to truly trust God... Since all these recent very low times in my life, God has been richly blessing me/us. I give ALL Glory, Honor, and Praise to God my savior and God my Father, no matter what happens to me in life.
  12. Here are some verses out of the bible concerning foods. Off hand I don't recall where I got these verses, except to say that they are from Paul in the New Testiment. Perhaps this will help you concerning the food you eat. 19We should try [a] to live at peace and help each other have a strong faith. 20Don't let your appetite destroy what God has done. All foods are fit to eat, but it is wrong to cause problems for others by what you eat. 21It is best not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything else that causes problems for other followers of the Lord. 22What you believe about these things should be kept between you and God. You are fortunate, if your actions don't make you have doubts. 23But if you do have doubts about what you eat, you are going against your beliefs. And you know that is wrong, because anything you do against your beliefs is sin.
  13. I didn't go to Europe solo, I went with my sister and my grandmother, but I thought I would comment on where you are planning on going. The places that you will NOT be going, I didn't go to either. The places are thinking of going to, I have been to also (London, Paris, Rome, Venice & Florence). I have also been to Naples, Pompei, The Isle of Capre (with the blue grotto), Lake Lucern, Switzerland, and Coppenhagen, Denmark. My favorite places of all was Italy for the culture and Switzerland for the beauty. You have Italy covered quite nicely, I think you will really enjoy it. All the ancient art there is amazing! When you are in Italy if you can work in Pompei and perhaps Naples, I think you might really like adding those in if possible. It sounds like a wonderful once in a life time experience for you. Lord willing, I hope you will be able to go.
  14. In what way are you having a problem with these scriptures? Are you looking at it as God and Jesus sharing the exact same body in the literal sense or how can Jesus be one with God being of flesh and bone? Please explain how exactly you see a conflict here? When a man and a women married they become ONE flesh according to God. Of course this can not be in the literal sense. Is this a fair example of what you might be struggling with?
  15. I suppose that would play havoc on His family genealogy.
  16. The thing that sticks out so much for me in Elton's statement, is he wants to ban religion completely and then complains about why the religious leaders aren't doing anything about the war. No religion = No religious leaders.. Quite a paradox!!! I pray that Elton finds salvation through Jesus, as I have, and produce fruit and turn from his sins as I have...
  17. I agree with littlejoe, and I would add that a truly saved person has a strong desire to keep God's law, not because they have to in order to be saved, but because they want to. The desires of the heart, mind, and soul are completely reborn, which in turn gives us a strong desire to please God in every thing we do..
  18. Very well written in truth, and in is His word. Makes me want to sing, "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine"! Thanks for sharing that wonderful message..
  19. Divorce or separation, yes - remarriage no, not while he is still alive.
  20. Very interesting thread! On the outset let me establish that I am a firm believer in biblical prophesy fulfilled. I believe that the Lord is 100% correct in all prophesy of the bible. I am a firm born again believer! I am however having a very difficult time understanding the logic or even the mathematical formula on how you can establish odds on such an event as prophesy fulfilled. Then you bunch 8 different phophetic events into one and give the odds of ALL of it happening, not just 1 event, but 8 events in 1.. That just does not compute! With a winning lottery ticket for instance it is a bona fide mathematical fact that accurate odds can be set on 1 person picking the winning lottery ticket number. You have all of the numbers needed in which to establish and calculate such mathematical odds, there is a set mathematical formula in which to go by. Before you can even begin to give odds you have to collect all of the needed data, or numbers in which to calculate those odds. Where do you come up with the historic numbers of messengers preceding a particular individual on earth? It's all numbers gentlemen. You need all the numbers to calculate the odds. So where do you come up with these numbers for such an intangible thing as this? I would love it to be true, but I just don't see how you can possibly calculate it. With unique prophecy or prophecy of "an event that historically has never happened before", there are no tangible historic mathematical facts in which to formulate the odds whatsoever. For instance how do you set the odds of a person being preceded by a messenger unless there have been other people that have been preceded by a messenger in which to compare it to? It is very subjective. If you were trying to calculate the odds of an earthquake happening on a given day, you could calculate the odds by knowing the number or frequency of earthquakes happening in the past, and then calculating the odds of it happening on a specific day, at a specific time. Hopefully you understand what I am trying to say and where I am coming from. I loved to read about the odds, and smiled while I read them, then I ended up scratching my head. I guess the results just need to be explained to me because I just don't quite get it. I know an attempt was made to understand how it was formulated in the prior post, but I think it is meaningless to try and establish odds at all. I wanted to independently write down my initial reaction above. It is one heck of a reach in my opinion. The facts speak for themselves. I stand in complete awe at all the prophecies that have come true and are fulfilled. I don't need to pin a humanly odds thing on them, nor do I think you should even try. The prophecies stand completely on their own and need no special spin in order to highlight them any further... The prophecies fulfilled are totally awe inspiring and completely amazing as for the believer. Odds just help to muddle the whole thing. Focus should be kept on each prophecy for what it is.

  22. For the true believer does not need any signs at all. We already know because we believe by faith the truth of what is and what will be! The person whom is looking for a sign in order to believe, is one that usually has little or no faith at all, and needs our prayers. The Lord in Matthew 16:4 was admonishing the Pharisees and Sadducees because in order for them to believe and have faith, they needed proof, and required a sign.
  23. Such wonderful things await the elect, that no man can possibly imagine how awesome a dwelling our Lord is preparing for us. Praise God! Revelation 21 1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
