  1. Parents that really care about their children's future, should boycott the colleges that are corrupting their children's minds and destroying their future.
  2. I have a great solution to the muslim immigration problem and illegal aliens. What is the only region in the US that doesn't have congressional representation? Washington DC. We should send all muslim and illegal aliens to DC and ban them from the rest of the US, then we wouldn't have to ever worry about them voting against our interests in Congress. And, DC will finally be subjected to what it has tried to do to us.
  3. Progressive logic is always one-sided, and almost always irrational. They are taking the side of the alleged "victim" (the transgender boy), and only care about his feelings. What about the feelings of the girls not wanting to see his male anatomy, or him seeing theirs?
  4. As we can see, the pagans (wiccans) are taking on Christian traditions and trying to convince us they are pagan/secular in nature. This tactic is used by injecting a little doubt into our traditions/beliefs so as to either destroy their significance to us, or to make it appear that they are sacrilegious to us in order to deter us from participating in one of our customs and traditions. Like I stated earlier, celebrating Christmas only becomes a pagan celebration if the focus of the celebration shifts to earthly things instead of the birth of our Savior. They can try to steal our customs and traditions and try to make us doubt their origins, but what they really want to do is destroy our faith and convince us we are no different than them and that their god is just as real as our God.
  5. I posted this to get a conversation going about what it means to be a Christian and how some people may have taken these verses more to heart than what God required of us. Have you ever seen that one Christian in your church that just looks miserable all the time? They seem unhappy about everything, they could be puritan, or it could be their personality, but what everyone feels about that person is that there is no joy in their life. I believe that some Christians believe that they should be suffering servants and leave no room for joy in their lives, as some sort of pious gesture of self punishment, or bearing their cross like Jesus did. I understand the feeling that we all have our Crosses to bear, but in the context of how Jesus used it, He was talking to His Disciples and Apostles. He knew that they would suffer just as much as He would and was letting them know that they must bear their Cross if they want to follow Him, because one day they will have to. So, we know what the disciples went through after Jesus's Crucifixion and Resurrection. Nearly all of them were tortured and crucified and murdered. But, I don't believe it is necessary for Christians to bear that cross anymore. Some of us will be called to suffer and face persecution and when that day comes, we will joyfully bear it, but most of us will have blessed lives and enter Heaven without having to bear His Cross like He or His Apostles did. Christ told us that since we are not of the world, we will be miserable at times, but we are to be joyous in our suffering and our blessings. We are to be joyful givers too. In this time of Thankfulness (Thanksgiving) and Joy (Christmas) we should make an effort to show the world how happy we are as a community. But, what we shouldn't do is try to hinder or reduce the joy of others or our brothers and sisters.
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Servant_songs The first song The first poem has God speaking of His selection of the Servant who will bring justice to earth. Here the Servant is described as God's agent of justice, a king* that brings justice in both royal and prophetic roles, yet justice is established neither by proclamation nor by force. He does not ecstatically announce salvation in the marketplace as prophets were bound to do but instead moves quietly and confidently to establish right religion. Isaiah 42:1-4 Isa 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. Isa 42:2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. Isa 42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. Isa 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. The second song The second poem, written from the Servant's point of view, is an account of his pre-natal calling by God to lead both Israel and the nations. The Servant is now portrayed as the prophet of the Lord equipped and called to restore the nation to God. Yet, anticipating the fourth song, he is without success. Taken with the picture of the Servant in the first song, his success will come not by political or military action, but by becoming a light to the Gentiles. Ultimately his victory is in God's hands. Isaiah 49:1-6. Isa 49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. Isa 49:2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me; Isa 49:3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. Isa 49:4 Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God. Isa 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. Isa 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. The third song The third poem has a darker yet more confident tone than the others. Although the song gives a first-person description of how the Servant was beaten and abused, here the Servant is described both as teacher and learner who follows the path God places him on without pulling back. Echoing the first song's "a bruised reed he will not break," he sustains the weary with a word. His vindication is left in God's hands. Isaiah 50:4-9 Isa 50:4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. Isa 50:5 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. Isa 50:6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. Isa 50:7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. Isa 50:8 He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me. Isa 50:9 Behold, theLord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up. The fourth song The fourth of the "servant songs" begins at Isaiah 52:13, continuing through 53:12 where it continues the discussion of the suffering servant. There is no clear identification for the "servant" within this song, but if the reader pays close attention to the author's word choice, one can deduce that the song could refer to either an individual or a group. Those that argue the "servant" to be an individual, have "proposed many candidates from Israel's past."[10] The song declares that the "servant" intercedes for others, bearing their punishments and afflictions. In the end, he/they are rewarded. Isa 52:13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. Isa 52:14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: Isa 52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider. Isa 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. Isa 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Isa 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. On the other hand, it is argued that the "servant" represents a group of people, more specifically the nation of Israel, and they feel that they have paid their dues and continue to suffer because of the sins of others (Isaiah 53:7,11-12). Also, through the author's choice of words, we, our, and they, one could also argue that the "servant" was a group*. Isaiah 53:1-11 Early on the evaluation of the Servant by the "we" is negative: "we" esteemed him not, many were appalled by him, nothing in him was attractive to "us". But at the Servant's death the attitude of the "we" changes after verse 4 where the servant suffers because of "our" iniquities, "our" sickness, but by the servant's wounds "we" consequently are healed. Posthumously, then, the Servant is vindicated by God. Many Christians believe this song to be among the Messianic prophecies of Jesus. Isaiah 52:13-53:12.
  7. Depends on what we are focusing on, pleasing ourselves, or celebrating the birth of our Savior. If our focus is on worldly pleasures, then yes the focus has shifted away from the birth of Christ and it has become no more than a pagan celebration. I am not a puritan, so I think both can be balanced, because God doesn't want us to be miserable, He does want us to enjoy our lives and be joyful, I just caution people to be mindful of what their priorities are this Christmas. I think the source of the conflict is that some claim that Christmas was changed by the RCC or King James (I don't remember) to line up with the Winter Solstice, to try and make Christianity more accessible/appealing to pagans. I'm sure that's been refuted as many times as it's been brought up.

  9. I am not a dentist, or a Doctor, but I read a report that says root canals can cause significant long-term health problems. Let me explain, from my own understanding: http://www.naturalnews.com/025412_root_canals_bacteria_infection.html - When a root canal is accomplished, the dentist is pretty much trying to seal it up and isolate it from the rest of the body, while attempting to keep the root/tooth intact. - Since the tooth is dead and no longer receiving antibodies from the blood stream, an infection is more likely to occur. - Since the tooth is isolated, there is no way to treat the infection through the bloodstream (vaccines, antibiotics, etc.) - Over time depending on the type of infection you have, it could become debilitating to your overall health and mobility. - Some people had lifelong chronic debilitating illnesses that they recovered from after the bad tooth was extracted and their jawbone was treated with antibiotics. - My advice, if it is a tooth you don't need, get it extracted, otherwise you may encapsulate a source of a debilitating illness and your quality of life will suffer. Getting a tooth extracted is much cheaper than a root canal and it gets rid of a potential source of infection from your body. - When you can afford it, you can get a bridge or prosthetic implant to fill the gap (cosmetic or functional reasons). Like I said, I am not a dentist and I don't know how much pain you are in, but leaving a dead tooth in your body and trying to isolate it from your bloodstream may not work and could potentially cause long lasting, debilitating illnesses. As you get older, your immune system becomes less efficient and you may suffer from more illnesses than you would normally otherwise.
  10. The President plans to appeal to the US Supreme Court, and if recent history is any indication, if they accept the case, don't be surprised if they rule in favor of the President this Summer.
  11. When I was 16 years old and working, my paychecks didn't last very long. The tips I made as a waiter helped me put fuel in my truck when I was days away from my next paycheck.
  12. Now does everyone understand the game the media is playing? They want Hillary Clinton in the Whitehouse in 2017, so, any candidate that emerges as the frontrunner on the Republican side (except Jeb Bush, he's supposed to be the fall guy) will be relentlessly "vetted" and interrogated and slandered until their popularity plummets and their credibility is doubted by the electorate. This is why it is so important for the GOP candidates to have fair and honest debates, the voters need to do their own vetting of the candidates, we cannot trust the media to look out for our own interests, because they won't. Dr. Carson is a man of integrity and in the last 2 weeks he has been relentlessly disparaged and slandered by Politico, CNN, WSJ and others. He may not be the best person to be our next President, but that is for us to decide in the primaries, not the journalists. As we all know, most of the journalists won't even participate in the primaries (at least in the states where only registered members of the GOP get to vote for the candidate).
  13. This should be considered child abuse. This poor child has homosexual males as her parents and they are telling her that she is not a girl, but a boy and making her look and act like one. Children cannot think for themselves (personal accountability) until they are much older, instead of firing the daycare workers that objected to this abuse, Child Protective Services should have been called.
  14. Warren Buffet is the only reason the Keystone Pipeline isn't being built. BNSF has a virtual monopoly over the railway freight industry in the US, once the Keystone Pipeline gets constructed, he will no longer have that market cornered. He is a railway tycoon and won't be easily unseated with either party.
  15. This family greatly needs our prayers. To see your child slowly decline and be unable to stop it, has got to be the most heartbreaking thing a person can experience. With love and prayers, we are thinking about the Snow family.
  16. It is a sad story for the crew and passengers. I am glad their families will get closure, it's not often that something that massive sinks. It seems like there was a combination of several misfortunate things that led to the ship being sunk.
  17. Good thing they got the 30 day notice, it would have been embarrassing for the President if Iran got caught red handed with that equipment, don't you think?
  18. None of this makes sense. I thought Russia was attacking IS, wasn't the US worried about destroying the FSA?
  19. So, we are supposed to believe the US, after record tax revenues, spent what amounts to nearly $800B in one day?
  20. Those uniforms are heritage (throwback) uniforms, many teams in the NFL wear them from time-to-time. The uniform the Steelers wore this week is a variation of the uniform design from the 1930's.
  21. Yet, there are people like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders that are saying we aren't paying enough taxes now.
  22. After the Russia, China and Iran coalition destroys the IS, will they return their armies to their homelands? Or do they plan on staying awhile? Qatar has spent billions of dollars developing a natural gas mining/refining infrastructure, anticipating that they will be able to use a pipeline through Syria into Europe. This will effectively end Russia's stranglehold over European Union foreign policy since they are Europe's primary Natural Gas supplier. The conflict in Syria has always been about this, which is why Russia has now committed military resources to protecting the Syrian government. The Assad regime was on the verge of being toppled. Since the US President Barack Obama established his administration as anti-war, he was unable to get Congress to authorize the US military for "kinetic" operations against Syria and had to use mercenaries instead. But, with mercenaries, you get what you pay for, and with religiously zealous mercenaries you get something even more unpredictable. How much is oil/natural gas worth, apparently for the US, ME and Russia, it's worth the death and displacement of millions of people. From a global leader's perspective, people aren't people, they're resources and they're expendable, (some are just more expendable than others) which is why they can take actions like what we have been witnessing in the IS.
  23. Good news, California just legalized Physician assisted suicide, now the state can advance its eugenics program beyond the womb. (Bad news for everyone that believes in the sanctity of life and that all life has value, regardless of how small or impoverished it is.)

    Pope vs. Gunowners

Anti-gun people will be singing "Nearer My God To Thee" when the State comes and forcefully disarms the remaining gun owners. This debate will not end until the State wins and we all lose. But, keep singing that song if it makes you feel better.
  25. Nine Christians were shot/murdered after proclaiming their faith in Christ. That is the real issue here. God Bless our brothers and sisters for their courage and faith. This murderer targeted Christians and chose the school because it was a gun free zone. Had he gone to a Church instead, he most likely would have encountered one or more churchgoers carrying a concealed weapon and they would have been able to stop him. Someone asked how the anti-Christ would institute gun control, take a look at the front of the U.N. and that should answer that question. By the time the anti-Christ (Beast) emerges on the scene, gun control will probably have already been instituted by a global treaty. Why didn't the President acknowledge that these people were murdered because they were Christians and why didn't the President commend the hero that stopped the attack? If you still support the President, you should be asking yourselves why is he focusing on the problem and not the victims? The 2nd Amendment guarantees our right to arm ourselves. It is a right, not an obligation, if you are morally opposed to owning, using a gun, then don't do it. But, understand that there are people out there that do not value your life, they hate you for your faith and they wouldn't think twice about killing you if you cross their path. But, just because you choose to not exercise your 2nd Amendment right, I am not required or obligated to do the same. I resent the fact that you are demanding that I do.
