  1. Interesting statement about "watching a movie". At times I feel that I/we may be IN this movie that some/all call "reality". Ever see "Last Action Hero" and/or "The Truman Show"? Sort of think/feel at times that have seen this before-deja vu? Also I personally was brought up in the 1950s with all-out thermonuclear war expected-living with that now more than fifty years and many other things have made me somewhat crazy {yes-have discussed this with The/our/my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ-1John 4:2}. To me, to be so-called "normal" in a world that "lieth in wickedness", murder of unborn state sanctioned/supported/protected in USA, "gay" marriage and teaching our children to go to school/college is pretty close to insane/Evil. Recently sometimes feel/think that there are simply too many signs fitting together too precisely [based on SOME currently popular End-Times teachings-Revived Roman Empire(EU)/Rapture/Peace Treaty-antichrist out of EU/3rd(4th) Temple rebuilt...] pointing to the end. PERHAPS this is part of "deceiveth the whole world" of Revelation 12? Commentators have taught that Jesus' First Coming was missed and to remember that-Jesus warned of massive deception, remember? Scripture along these lines also: Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

  3. Google of Revelation 13:11 re USA -been discussed a lot. To me, lots of data supports that possibility. Our Revolutionary war seems to me to support Romans 13:1 and USA's "damnation" {Civil War, locust plagues in the late 1800s, inventing of evil things-atomic bomb...,abortion(1973)-to me state sanctioned/state supported/state protected murder of the unborn-an abomination/hated by The LORD.}. Latest weapon that may be deployed next year in "Iraqi Freedom"-that heat ray "gun" for crowd control-"who is able to make war with the beast"?.....Lots, lots more.
  4. Dear Damo1: Sounds like Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, The Truth, making you free. As He promised us that He would do{John 8:31-36}. Ephesians 5:20. Agape and peace. Ron R.
  5. Brutal area-to truly forgive and to truly be forgiven. To truly feel the NEED to forgive, the NEED to be forgiven. To me, 100% of the work only able to be and is done by The Triune God. For Christ's sake, due to Jesus Christ. Was given this Scripture-believe by The Holy Spirit-and acted on it via some letters that never got answered to this day. Told them of the pain their actions/inactions had caused, but never got a response. But...: Hbr 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled; >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lewis Smedes had written a book that turned out to be a literal miracle for me back in June of 1987. Had a white, murderous rage against 3 people and would have taken each of them and squeezed their necks until their eyes popped out. People were in Arizona which I had left and was in Virginia. Rage came up about 1 month after I had left Arizona. No matter what they said or didn't say, did or didn't do I would have killed them. This was 7 years after I had been born again. Was led to the book, read it, prayed, and that rage left IMMEDIATELY after the prayer. http://www.amazon.com/Forgive-Forget-Heali...e/dp/0060674318

Dear Ron, I would never judge you and tell you you are being tormented because of a sin of some sort in your life. Second, I DO read the whole Bible as a full context. Whichever account is true of Jesus' last words makes no difference to the fact that He died for us and rose again and now has power over satan and his demons and they can do nothing when we wear His name. Only try to decieve us. Matthew 28:18 18)Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me". I'm not trying to comfort you, only to let you know I've been through it too. When these trials come they come no matter what we're involved in(good or bad). Because it may be God is planning on using us in some way and satan knows this and is attacking in full blast. There are too many possible reasons for spiritual warfare to speculate the cause and I'm not trying to tick God off like Job's advisers did. The only thing I can do for you is pray and let you know I'm praying for you. Dear None: Please pray for VOM and The Persecuted Church. Your "they have no power if" , which I disagree with, big part of our discussion.Thank you for your prayers-all to be prayed for as last part of the whole armour of God-Ephesians 6:10-18. Prayer, to me, is precious and priceless. And commanded and required. Maybe background PMs to continue discussion we have had here or you maybe you start another chain {under "Spiritual Warfare"?}?. Have studied Theodicy and have had other experiences mentioned under "Hearing From God" and elsewhere. As you know, Paul's "thorn in the flesh" was a literal messenger of Satan put in his flesh by The Lord Jesus Christ - at least that is how I understand the Scriptures. Paul asked The Lord Jesus to remove it 3 times and was denied{2 Corinthians 12:1-}. Unity of The Spirit in the bond of peace to you and all, Ron R.

  8. So maybe the fit I see between part of Revelation 12 and Revelation 13 is not a current actual fulfillment of these Scriptures? Not saying it is or isn't. Some say The Tribulation doesn't start till after The Rapture. But... Regarding Jesus and suffering "They have no power if...". These are some of the Scriptures that I believe may apply: Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. ... Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. ... far from helping me, [and from] the words of my roaring? Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Mar 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? You've got part of a Psalm(Psalms 22:1) in that last part of your post. I believe that when Jesus said those words on the cross He was referring to that Psalm because that Psalm was referring to Him and what He had just done. Every word out of His mouth was in perfect timing and had perfect meaning. Are you asking if we're to suffer? Mankind has been suffering since the Fall from the Garden of Eden. Anyone who tries to follow God and His ways suffers for it. Temporarily. If you think about it, Revelation can be applied to a Christian's whole lifespan, so can the Bible, in it's entirety. Life begins with our mother's pain(God's hard work and love) and produces something beautiful and pure, a baby(Adam and Eve and Earth) and then we grow and learn and go through trials and tribulations, we mess up, and eventually God calls us back to Him. This is also a painful process because we have to battle to get to Him. Does God not deliver(Rapture) when a women travails? Yes re Psalm 22. Please explain your post re "They have no power if..." in light of the Scriptures I gave re Jesus. He was forsaken. Ron... "they have no power if..." meaning the more power you believe demons or sin have the more power you give them. And Jesus wasn't "forsaken" in the way some people think. His last words on the cross were "it is finished", the last part of the Psalm, which explained the statement "why hast thou forsaken me", the first part of that Psalm. That whole Psalm describes what had just taken place and why. He spoke those verses because His followers would later write them down and the reader or hearer would be lead by the Holy Spirit to know this. Dear None: We certainly have gotten off the topic of VOM-but I have enjoyed this discussion. We are one in Christ Jesus-1 Corinthians 13. Have to agree to disagree-believe He was forsaken, and perhaps the last of His 7 words were "Into thy hands I commit my spirit". But maybe you are correct. Re "they have no power if"-consider Job, Paul and his "thorn in the flesh", other Scriptures. If, as I believe, we are in an indescribably vicious spiritual [as well as physical] War and we know how it ends, then... God The Father is determined that we be conformed to the image of His Son. Praise The Lord! "Love one another as I have loved you". 100% unity in The Body of Christ! Agape and peace to you and all, Ron R p.s. Suggest "God in the Alley"-to me, an incredible book re Jesus. http://www.amazon.com/God-Alley-Being-Seei...n/dp/0877880921

  10. Please consider Job and Paul's "thorn in the flesh". 14. You have been put into my heart and prayers. Know people who have been diagnosed schizophrenic {I personally had been diagnosed depressed/bipolar 1989 and again 1991, both times ending up for 7 days in a psych ward and given haldol, elavil, and lithium.Horrible experiences-believe I probably should have been diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, but psych ward was so overloaded, and all they had were "meds" to address symptoms. Real trial of my faith and what I had been taught almost from the first after I was born-again in late 1980 at age 36:"by His [Jesus Christ's] stripes we are/were healed"}. Been "meds" free [except for coffee and cigarettes] since 1991]. Demons are REAL, to be hated, resisted-"Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Talk on and off to those suffering schizophrenia, who are pretty much forced into "meds" to quiet the voices. At the end of the War, the devil "will be tormented day and night forever and ever." For what this is worth I just viewed "Constantine" on DVD-fiction, BUT. Enemies from Hell were breaking through, disobeying the rules. Sinning. Disobeying God. Rough. The angel Gabriel had her wings burned off by God. Supernatural exorcist, went to Hell, and back. Was doomed to Hell, and would have to face the many demons he had exorcised and sent there. He dealt with Lu...{Lucifer} at the end of movie, who came to claim him-he was dying of lung cancer. Me personally-suffering demonic physical attacks 24/7:"Hate what is Evil, cleave to what is good...Be not overcome with Evil, but overcome Evil with Good." I have no chirpy Gospel phrases for you or anyone-in my spiritual judgment we are in an indescribably vicious spiritual [as well as physical] War.

  19. Re post # 16-please rethink your words about Jack Van Impe and The Word of God {Galatians 6:1-2 for example}. Yes, this chain started with Isaiah 17:1 being pointed out. As far as I understand from The Word of God [try to factor out current events for the moment] Damascus ceasing to be a city: 1. Has nothing to do about the rest of Syria. 2. Syria, as I tried to explain in my post #15, does not [as far as I know] appear in Ezekiel 38/39 nor Psalm 83, the "usual Scriptures" re Gog/Magog. Please review Ezekiel 38 carefully re Israel's status spoken of. Much of that status does not, to me, agree with Israel's current status. Consider carefully what Revelation states regarding what happens AFTER the "little season" in Revelation 20. 3. Maybe The Holy Spirit has given Jack special insight-maybe not. {e.g. John 16:12-15} 4. Just because something does not appear explicitly in The Word of God does not mean it is not so. It means, to me, we should be cautious and always look to The Holy Spirit, being "swift to hear, slow to speak" and not accusers of the brethren nor slanderers for Satan. Always in the whole armour of God-Ephesians 6:10-18 and remembering what the state of THE Jesus Christ's Church as defined by Ephesians 4:11- requires. 5. MASSIVE DECEPTION exists. MASSIVE. <---this is my spiritual judgment ...but remember "let God be true but every man a liar " 6. A judgment prophecy such as Isaiah 17:1 MAY be conditional as many prophecies are, depending on repentence or lack therof. Agape, Peace, Truth, Grace... to all, Ron...
  20. the Scriptures are very clear about Damascus being destroyed. This from Jack Van Impe's September 2007 "Intelligence BRIEFING" [received this yesterday]:"(Judgment is coming on Iran and Syria. Isaiah 17:1 has yet to be fulfilled...)". From my understanding, both Jack and Hal Lindsey are teaching the same message. Maybe Jack has received a special understanding from The Holy Spirit on Syria being part of the Ezekiel Gog/Magog alignment? So far I haven't been shown explicitly where in The Word of God Syria fits into this and when{ in terms of a chronological Endtime sequence and not an actual date}. Jack has taught and defined 3 wars leading to Armageddon and the nations involved. Don't see Syria/[or Damascus] mentioned in either Ezekiel 38/39 nor Psalm 83. But we all know that The Holy Spirit is THE Teacher.
  21. On "Jack Van Impe Presents" this morning Jack mentioned that Syria aligns with Russia {Gog/Magog Ezekiel 38-} and he mentioned Isaiah 17:1. This struck me as being somewhat different than Hal Lindsey's view given in post #1. Jack has taught over and over about the alignment of nations -soon - with poor Israel being the focus and the -soon- return of Jesus to Rapture us out. On the "McCloughlin Group" this morning they spent about 15 minutes or so discussing Iran's nuclear program and thoughts about accepting a nuclear-armed Iran or a neocon first-strike [that could set off a very bad thing]. Even though John Mclaughlin and Pat Buchanan are ex-Jesuits I don't recall anyone on the show ever mentioning Bible prophecy. Appears to me that world events and Endtime prophecy are more and more coinciding. But "we see through a glass darkly".
  22. Been pondering this for a number of years. In a nutshell, it seems to me that what we as Christians need to focus on depends on "where" we are in God's Endtime program. If-as some say-Revelation 4:1 signals The Rapture [AND The Rapture has not already occurred] and the {supposed} 7 years of Tribulation, then...Since we Christians won't be here on earth {supposedly}, basically most of the Book of Revelation is not for us. This view doesn't seem reasonable to me, but... Me personally have been focusing on Revelation 12 and 13 for some time-SEEMS like these 2 chapters are for now/soon. That God The Father and Jesus Christ have been blasphemed for a number of decades/centuries and this is getting much worse much more rapidly than in the past. So-"patience and faith" would be the focus, the corruption/human bioengineering/abortion/Islam/satan&demonic infestation/more indicate "Days of Noah" Genesis 6:1-, "Remember Lot's wife"... Pretty sure this post is unclear, for which I apologize. Anyway kind of know what I mean and could express this properly?
  23. [posted this before and hope this is not being too repetitious but ] USA [9/11,Katrina,...]finished? "The American Prophecies" where Michael Evans carefully traces the battle between Ishmael [Arabs/Muslims] and Isaac in The Holy Bible book of Genesis to today. How much the "angel Gabriel" to Mohammad Koran-->Islam has led to the hate for Jews, Israel, and Christians: beliefnet.com/story/151/story_15164_1.html beliefnet.com/story/151/story_15136_1.html <<< "The American Prophecies" was issued around August 2004. Michael Evans states more than once that 9/11 was God's judgment on the USA. For example, on page 14 he writes: "There is absolutely no question that God's hedge of protection was lifted from America. September 11 was a curse on our beloved nation, but worse is the fact that most Americans don't understand why it happened. I believe it will happen again, and again and again, and much worse, if Americans do not wake up to the truth." He also documents how the USA has been kind of in the middle between the struggle/Bible prophecy of Ishmael and Isaac and our on-again/off-again support of Israel/support of "Palestinians" etc. back and forth. Intense knowledge [in my opinion]. On page 255 is: "America is heading for a fateful day-a day that will impact the United States thousands of times more than September 11-but will that day be our destruction or our redemption? What could be more than a thousand times worse than September 11? A multiple terrorist attack using thermonuclear bombs? A natural disaster the size of which we have never seen before?..." ____________________________________________ _ My comments follow: The hurricane Katrina hit land as a category 4 with wind speeds of 150 mph on Monday August 29,2005. It was the "worst natural disaster in US history". Michael Evans declares himself to be a Watchman and not a prophet. I urge looking into those 2 articles I gave URLs for to and reading his book.
