  1. I have no problem with other people not liking them-if you dont like then I respect that, I only throw a fit if someone tries to take mine.
  2. wow, I was like thats one heck of a rabbit gun till I saw the size of your rabbits. Makes me want to go rabbit huntin where your at, and oh by the way, can I borrow your gun? lol.
  3. I sure hope they do, it is very unconstitional, and on top of that, it wont work. Its spending money the government doesnt have, to force us to spend money that we dont have, just so we can afford "health care" that is outrageously expensive. So, unconstitional law that wont work? it needs struck down. IF they were serious about making health care affordable, then theyd find a way to do it-this is all about control, not the good of the people. My dad had a good plan-he thinks we should A: get rid of the ambulance chasers, i.e. find another method of keeping doctors accountable without lawsuits coming into play, that way they wouldnt need the expensive malpractice insurance (lawsuits dont do any good anyway-the insurance just pays the lawsuit, doctor keeps on making the same mistakes) B: the government should have taken all that bailout money they gave the car industry and used it to pay off all the bad debt in the hospitals (another reason costs are so high) and then C: force them to drop their prices to what they were in 1950. Once you take out the malpractice insurance and the bad debt, hospital charges then become affordable to us, yet the doctors can still afford their BMWs and golf weekends. Think about it-thats a practical method, it drops costs all the way around-but no, theyd rather throw money away down the tube for a method that will just further bankrupt our country and violate our rights.
  4. Alright, heres my weekend special, an oldie by Chris Rice-the other side of the radio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMRgNoWkvf4
  5. Ok, I dont know if anyone here listens to the wally show at all, but hes a really funny christian radio DJ, does some insanse stuff. Anyway, apparently the newsboys had a party celebrating how well one of their songs went, (Gods not dead) and made the mistake of inviting wally. . .anyway, heres the results, funny stuff.
  6. Ok so im a bit behind on my favorite pick of the week, (I was on vacation) but this is a very good song, its not the "official" video, but someone put the song to scenes from to save a life, and it fits very well, so here goes, Disciple-Invisible.
  7. To me, it all depends on the job and the situation. Its called pick your battles, and pick them wisely. Theres nothing inheritantly wrong with OSHA (nothing biblical) admittedly, they get annoying sometimes, but they have their place. but theres usually agencies in place that you can call in an anonymous complaint to, as well. Im not pro union in the least bit, they had their place-they did wonders to improving bad conditions in the workplace-but anymore, their as corrupt as the original companies they fought against. Ive never worked for a company that had a union, likely never will and wont join them unless the actual need for them arrises. Sometimes working conditions get harsh-to the point you need to either fight or leave-Ive been there, done that. I was leased to another trucking company while back that treated us like garbage-was constantly working us over our hours (truck drivers can only drive so many hours and remain legal) constantly, expect us to lie on our logbooks, and then talk trash about us and how poorly we worked, and kept adding boat loads of excess paperwork for no reason whatsoever, and messing up our paychecks. I finally put a stop to it-I started doing just the basic paperwork that gave them the information they needed for billing and told them where they put the rest-but most of all, when telling them no to working the extra hours didnt work, I started logging the hours I was working. Now, doing that opened me up to a fine if the DOT pulled an audit-but it opened the company up for a fine easily 3 times higher then what I would pay, and on top of that I wasnt the only driver doing it-in a matter of 2 days, me and 2 other drivers opened the company up to a possibility of over $50,000 in fines if the DOT decided to pull a random audit, and that put an end to the working extra hours. As far as the paychecks, the company that we directly worked for (it was a sister company, we were just leased to the bad company) got enough complaints they came in, and put us back on their immediate payroll which solved the paycheck problem. Its called choose your battles, decide what your willing to lose, and decide on how and what your going to do, and weigh the pros and cons.
  8. oh, I agree we need to take care of our planet and be wise stewards, and that we arnt doing a very good job. I just think global warming is a bunch of bunk is all.
  9. Thats to bad love songs, but again though we can't blame facebook for that-if someones mad at someone else, they will say bad things about them behind their back in todays world, its not right, but is the fault of the person spreading those lies. Its a sin on their part-and facebook is just a tool they use to do it. Facebook is just software, unemotionaless, unthinking, software, it is up to the user to decide what to do with it. and some users are just plain irresponsible, but thats not facebooks fault, just like its not the cars fault that a drunk driver drove it into a lightpole.
  10. Global warming-such a lie. Im sorry, but it is. . .
  11. good video, though theres a small flaw in the logic that I am going to point out. Assault rifles are still, technically banned. To be classified as an assault rifle, the weapon has to have selectable modes of fire, including fully automatic. The "assault" weapons ban banned weapons that were perceived as assault rifles, such as the AR-15, but in reality the AR-15 is technically classifed as either a carbine or rifle dependent on barrel length, as it does not have selectable rates of fire. To own a true assault rifle, which has full auto, is still illegal unless your willing to go through the literal circus of paper work to own one.
  12. wait, what contest?
  13. what videos are you trying to link? youtube or from another site?
  14. there used to be a quick link button, but it seems to have disappeared, but you can do it manually. simply put [ media ] before the link, and [ /media ] after the link, and it should post it properly. (remove the spaces between the brackets and media)
  15. I think it depends on the reason your clapping. The point of church is to worship God-so if your clapping to worship God, say in a song-or in celebration of someone coming to the Lord-then yes I say its cool to applaud in church. However, if the only reason to applaud is to celebrate an manly deed, then I would hesitate-at least during the actual church service. If it focuses the attention on God then yes-if it takes the attention away from God, then no. Thats just my two cents anyway.
  16. No hurt here! I am quiting over privacy issues, and I don't enjoy it. I can more then understand the privacy issues-I have the same ones, I really dislike FBs lack of privacy. With that being said, Ive found ways to work around it-I dont post anything on FB that I wouldnt want the whole world to see, and a lot of the privacy issues can be solved with settings issues (though by default their set to wide open, and they arnt exactly open with how to change them which is annoying) So I can perfectly understand that. As far as the thousads of friends, well some people see that as a competition to see whos the most popular. Im not opposed to having lots of friends on facebook-as long as their actively friends. I get friend requests from my friends friends-and I will accept them if I think their someone who actively wants to converse, and not just a popularity vote. If I know the person-friend or family I accept them-and if I think they honestly want to converse-as in trade information back and forth (agree with said info or not, you all know I love a good debate) then I accept them. I always enjoy making new friends-on facebook or anywhere else.
  17. not to play devils advocate here-but I see a lot of people who leave facebook because they are "hurt" by other people on here. I fail to see the reason here, you can be hurt just as easy by people on online forums, at work, church, etc. If we were to leave everything because people said hurtful things, wed stay at home with no human contact whatsoever. Yes, some people can be rude on facebook, but I learned a long time ago not to let stuff go to heart-if someone says something rude to me, oh well. If someone de-friends me, again, oh well-Its their loss. I have never defriended anyone-it doesnt bother me in the least bit, if they got a problem with one of my posts, life goes on.
  18. Awesome, I love that song.
  19. I was one of those people that was slow to get into facebook-took me forever to get into it, and now that I have it, its a love/hate relationship. The only reason I got it was to keep up with family and friends who live far away and I never get to see-and I like it for this reason, and it makes a lot of things easier for me to keep up with my friends. I hate it, mainly because of all the privacy issues, and all the game updates-I dont mind reading other peoples updates, but when I have to scroll through 5 million game updates on my phone to read a real update, and theres no way to disable them, that is probably my biggest pet peave.
  20. To me, I love my pets, but it would depend a lot on what I had to spend. If I had a vet bill that was $1500, and I had it to spend, well I probably would. But if I didnt have it to spend, then I wouldn't. Don't get me wrong, I love my pets, but if it game down to a choice between my family (either their healthcare or wellbeing, like say a place to live) and a vet bill, then the choice is simple-the animal will either find a way to live without the vet bill, or be put down, and probably the most inexpensive way possible. So if my pets plan to get sick, theyd best do so around tax return season.
  21. Down here performing How many kings in a radio studio.
  22. And another point-yes, a person with a history of alcohol abuse shouldnt drink alcohol. A person with a history of gun violence shouldnt have a gun either. But, on the reverse side of the coin-not everyone has a problem with alcohol, and neither does everybody have a history of gun abuse. A gun is a hunk of wood, metal, or plastic (depending on what its made out of) what its used for is entirely dependant on the user. A gun is not a temptation for most people, just like a glass of crown sitting on a table isnt a temptation for many people. To say its a temptation for everyone is a blanket assumption, and a false one at that.
  23. I dont either, they have a lot of good music, and youd be surprised how many bands are like that. Skillets much the same way. Theyre christians who like rock music.
  24. another-Id hate to agree, and disagree with you at the same time. There are avid collectors out there, who purchase guns simply for them to be locked in a display case, never to be fired again. So in those cases, they do lay around and never get used. Most people do use them however, including me-I generally get out and shoot at least once a month. Your assuming that the use is bad-I hunt, and target shoot-neither of which are sinful. None of my guns have ever been fired at-or even aimed in the general direction-of a human being, nor do I intend to ever do so unless my life or that of my families is on the line. Theres nothing tempting about a gun-sure, it can kill people. So can a hammer, or a car. In fact, more people die every year in automobile accidents then gun accidents, yet I don't see anyone calling for the mass banning of cars.
