  1. Do you think that since God has ALWAYS existed, he may have possibly have had other forms of life prior to Human Beings? I'm speaking of some form other than aliens or prior thoughts...Or are we vain enough to believe that we are and were the first form of being that God has ever considered? Your thoughts?
  2. Do you think that God knew what Adam and Eve would do in their decision before they knew what they would do? And yet he still determined to begin Human Life!
  3. the worst thing that could happen to this country would be for the SC to throw out the results of the election and not let Obama be the President. our Democracy would become a sham, we would no longer hold any sway in the world on matters such as this. We would rightly be compared to places like Cuba, Venezuela and Iran when it comes to elections. The citizens of this country elected Mr Obama by a pretty fair margin, he was elected fair and square. I have spent the last 20 years of my life defending the constitution and soon Mr Obama will be my Commander-in-Chief and I will support him like I have every other President that has been my CIC. People need to let this go, this is nothing but sour grapes and it will not help our country one bit, but will in fact do great harm to it. Sorry Gator, normally I agree with your views but this time I cannot. Truth always has to prevail , no matter what the cost. While I agree that Obama might be able to turn this country around and definately cut beaurocratic wastes, if the hearing was to find that Obama was in some way NOT a legal U.S. citizen, the only recourse would be another election. What are we if we cannot be true in our laws and courts? I'm sure when it's all said and done, they will fine no reason for a re-election, but the entire world is watching and all eyes are on our next move......each and every time.
  4. repost from another thread... I am going to go against the grain here and say this should not be in the law, it is without a doubt unconstitutional. It is correct, we cannot do it without God, but it should not be written into the law. If one day someone got a law passed that said we had to acknowledge that without the help of Gaia we could never keep the country safe I don
  5. Blessings Keilans, I would have to think that "the way you are brought up in life as a child plays a very important role in what you now believe for most. There are however, many out there I have come across who may have been brought up with great Christians morals and turned at some point against their beliefs and their God , but something normally causes the turn. Either a re-education of an opposed learning of knowledge as in College for example. Without knowing of what specific confusion you are dealing with, it is difficult to assess, but I'm guessing you have been fed much of the atheistic views that press for tangible evidence of God's existence and the many fallible errors that Atheists claim to find in God's Word. It's enough to turn anyone into great confusion at some point. I'm just happy that God is dealing with your spirit right now that you know enough to humble yourself before us and God because that says buckets about your faith and the grace you will soon be receiving ! Hang in there. God's not done with you yet!
  6. If I'm understanding one of your issues: Good Deeds...I disagree to a point. God said, "Obey my commands and Laws, and I will automatically make you want to do my will/works. I don't know about you but from the instant I turned my life over to God, I could do nothing but good worlks in God's name and honor. Let me ask you this.....If the opposite be true, do you think you could follow God's plan for us and do bad or ill works against God? I would venture to say that if anyone thought this, they are not living up to God's standards for them and their fellow brothers and sisters. There is much said in many of the Books of the bible and it matters less what version you study from . Fact is, God does want us to do HIS Works, and if you think that "we don't have to work" in God's honor and we will still get to Heaven, please show me where that is referenced in the Bible . Again, I do realize you issue here, but if you think that not serving God's people and not doing some types of work for God throughout your life will get you to Heaven....you risk it....I cannot. Your message is not what I'm discerning from the Spirit within me, and I will never concede to that type of thinking.
  7. Well, I'm a male but what I'm discerning from this question.....I can tell you this, "God wants us to be equal in every way. He expects the same effort, love, and respect from both parties involved. I've been married 37 years now, and I know because my wife and I respect each other, we do so much more for each other in the way of household chores, responsibilities and support. It's not surprising when we hear of couples not supporting and helping one another, that problems break out in a relationship. I believe that everything should have balance in life, love and God in the world.

  9. Logically, I know a fair number of roots and whatnot. Emotionally, though...I still can't handle it. My heart and prayers go with you! But as many have advised Nebula, I too have to say, "keep a distance" and when you do feel the necessity to communicate, keep it simple and general. I too have to remind myself when I'm confronted by my Dad, that he's very old and probably is too ashamed to admit the damage he's probably responsible for in me. And time has a way of helping you to numb yourself for the ordeal....I pray for you anyway..... In God's love Larry

  14. Blessing Damo, from Cajunland! Im concerned about something you said here in you response to Nebula. You noted that when your father died he was 51 and you were 39??? Is this correct??? Because , if that is so you are saying that your father and your mother had you when your father was only 12 or 13 years of age? Is this correct??? OMG?? I hope there is an error here somewhere or I'm just practicing bad math???? In God's love Larry Cajunboy
  15. Blessings Nebula, Yes! There are many aspects of abuse from parents. But normally when one of the parents do the abusing, the other either accidentally or purposely does the healing and loving. And a parent can be an abuser with the simple intention of ignoring or intentionally not caring for the child, even when that parent lives in the same home as the child. Simply things like, the child noticing all the attention and focus being put on the other child or children can dreadfully affect the abused child. And God forbid if the child suffers from sexual abuse and/or physical abuse. Some people never completely heal from these types and normally pass the abuse cycle onto their own children later on. There was much great mental abuse in my home, while the father thought he was providing love and security, the other children were constantly being rewarded for his approval but it caused me to seek love and approve from onsafe measures. Luckily for me, by the age of 17 I realized what was going on and married fairly young and saught psychological education and help for myself, and through God's grace and goodness I ended a great success story, with a loving, caring and nurturing family. But it did not come easily since I had to re=learn all the techniques that I was not taught by that one parent. And we did find out recently that he too was a victim of abuse at his early age. So there are many dynamics that come to play in an arena of abuse Nebula. Have you discovered that this may have been the same in your abusiveness? Just curious if the parent may have suffered similar abuse as a child?
  16. You are truly blessed! Amen!
  17. Peace Brother Zach, I would think a viable topic would have to be that we commonly pray for a more Godly trend of guidance in our country and world. And what prevents us is the fact that so many only pray and feel the know and need God when times are bad and hard and only affect them as individuals. I give genuine thanks and praise throughout the day of each day. While I was attempting to re-stand about 20 feet of my woooden fence, which had fell flat at one point in my back yard, stemming from Hurricane Gustov, as I live near New Orleans, La, I was involved in a situation where I was actually pushing on several hundred pounds of wood to stand it back up. I saw immediately that being a elder of 56 years old and not having that great strenght that I once had, I was in trouble as I was slipping constantly while trying to raise the entire weight of the fence on my back. I simply lifted my eyes to Heaven for a brief moment and asked God to help me through this demise, and soon enough I was able to grab a piece of lumber to enable me to support the weight of the fence and pull myself out of harms way. I don't normally do these type of things without the aid of other resources/equipment, but we're all being overly tasked down here and everyone is pretty much on their own for a bit. And I did have to secure my back yard and Lab. dog, because it's no secret that we're the most vunerable around this time for crime and the like. Needless to say, I gave great thanks and praise and all I have is a few bumps and bruises and sore toes and such. But you'll never convince me that just like this situation as I've seen so many others in my life, that God has not been there for me time and time again. I've shared my testimony several times in the past here, and I'm not ashamed to tell again that I know I'm one of those many miracles from God because had he not interceded in my early life, I know I would be cruising the slums of the New Orleans streets or somewhere in some lowly gutter off the streets of Burbon st. or dead. There is no doubt in my mind today with all the peace, success, happiness the love of a wonderful woman, and beautiful and successful children, that God has not intervened in my life to use me as a witness that you can change your life around 180 degrees if you know that you're headed for disaster and you allow God to work in your life. 18. You are soooo correct Zoe Girl, and there is a correct way of disagreeing with others. I have a basic premise that I use and perhaps it labels me as a "Fundie" to an extent but here goes....."If an idea is does not align or agree with God's plan, Laws and desires for us, I will contently disagree with someone and show you why I disagree by using support from the Holy Book. " This may not always be possible however, because life is becoming so displaced from God's Holy Word that it's becoming increasingly difficult for some to be able to relate to even the basic principles. For instance, the churches are being pressed to agree with or align with new principles in life because of man's insistance on behavior and intentions now. We see this as we have watched the changes in views in sexuality and child raising. These are crutial areas of concern as these are the basic fundamentals that God is firm on as with many other commands. And instead of fearing and displaying anger when confronting these areas with non-believers or even those who disagree with God's Laws, we should embrace it as part of God's plan and predictions of what is to come. Because, for me these are just small steps that light up the path to the end of times. I'm not saying that the "end times" is near because I honestly believe that this could only be another warning are change in the tides of man as we know it. And these changes could go either way and for either opponant. We we are definately seeing drastic changes that will affect the future of our country and our world and we have to stand firm and solid in the Word of God and stand our ground in so many matters that our country is facing right now and in the future. We can never let our guard down, even to the point of our selection of Preseidecy and Vice-Presidency. We've seen how even our Government who can perceive to be "Godly people" can steer us in the areas of "ungodly" territory.
  19. I don't believe that maintaining your morals and values in life has much to do with age other than the fact that the audiance keeps getting younger and younger.....lol oops..not funny.
  20. Remember this,"God always knows your next move, even though we don't! " So to answer your question whom so many doubt, YES! God will always come to you when you have repented of your sins in sincerity, and will make the effort never to stray again! If I can give you a suggestion to help you from straying again, Try giving thanks to God each day for "whatever?" Try drawing yourself closer to HIM each day of each year and watch your wisdom and knowledge and love of HIM grow more than you ever dreamed possible. It is when we sin and doubt our own selves that we distance ourselves from God! Always read of HIS Word and stay very near HIM and HE will call you often! Blessings Cajunboy
  21. God uses many analogies and comparisons in Revelations as well as throughout the Bible spiritman, but If we take God at HIS word, there will be no animals in the New Kingdom. Actually, I don't believe that we will be represented in the same context of matter that we are now our own selves judging from my own interpretation of the Word of God. But I am of the impression that none of the above will matter in any case! How do we even know we will have any memory recollection anyway?
  22. I recently heard a famous "teen youth ministry organizer" comment that the most recent survey across the globe came to the conclusion that because the youth come from so many broken homes and divorces that they're not as easily convinced about "the Word of God" or they don't accept the Words of the Bible easily either since the Colleges are teaching very little about God unless you take a "Religion" class or something of the equivilence. He noted that at this moment only about 35% of the youth believe in God or are Christians and in the next 20 years it will be less than half that amount if we don't do something now to convince them otherwise. And for what I'm seeing in effort, we're not moving mountains. After this generation has moved out, the percentages of believers in America will dwindle even more as time progresses. This is more evident in our churches and synogogues. I pray we can all make a difference in our childrens' lives. Also, I believe our children are a reflection of our own lives and beliefs and dis-beliefs! There are many in this generation already who were raised by one struggling parent or with parents who fought every day and night for the children to witness. The children not realizing that they will feel the same pressures of life and money and bills and debts that they themselves were probably responsible for. But we as Christians commit ourselves to God's cause no matter what suffering we will have to overcome. Many of our children will have a far better life than even ourselves, and believe it or not, we too had a much better life than our own parents. How very quickly we are to forget those hard times so our children can be spared. In the end comments I will have to say that God will intercede or inturrupt this world as he has so many other times in HIS History to get our and our children's attention to guide the Blessed ones in the right direction. Many just need some coaxing along! Others need a swift kick in the butt! God has all the answers!
  23. Well, my first thoughts on this is those souls were no different than us before we knew God and Jesus. I would think that it would depend greatly on their hearts and minds. If they purposefully reject God and speak against HIS commands and Words, I just collectively call them "of the secular world." But this is a valid question since none of us know what plans God has for others in their lives. And the very souls who blaspheme God and cuss him now out of anger, may one day be on their knees defending HIM many years later. But I always give all present day non-believers the benefit of the doubt since even they don't know the Power of God and what plans GOD has for them in their lives.
