  1. Pray for the Peace of Israel! I enjoy bathing my spirit while I read and write here at Worthy. I have a CD player with head phones. Some of the songs hug me with His Glorious Love. Others blend within me and I feel perfect balance, for a short period of time. Well until I remove the head set. As the calendar draws closer to Passion week, songs like the following really tear at my heart: "O Sacred Head Now Wounded," "Nothing But the Blood," "Open The Eyes of My Heart," I Can Only Imagine," Butterfly Kisses," "The Word," He's Alive!" These are just a few there are others yet I do favor these more. Now it's your turn........ Liz4JC
  2. Some men are the jack of all trades and some can't even tie their own shoe laces. Maybe that is why someone wrote a book, "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus." My husband died 21 years ago. He was the jack of all trades. For the last 8 years I haven been flying Solo. Liz4JC
  3. I agree with you, in the years before i always watch tv but later on i realize it is not worthy to watch because it is not good for our spiritual relationship with God because it can drift us away from God more, even books, games etc. only i watch news on tv to see what s going on in the world also i do comet o the computer and look at it what s going on in the world. because there is so much violences and alots of insulting using God's names. i kept telling my kids no not right not watch they said oh that is the show. that makes me sad to see them not realize that it is n ot right in God's eyes also the christians thinks it is nothing wrong to watch or no big deal.. we should be more focus on God's Words everyday and apply to our lives to follow Him and Obey Him. in Him DC I love to read love stories. However, I don't care to read the descriptive words for the making love anymore. So I skip those pages and read on. TV and movies that have fowl language I turn off and do something else in that time frame. Like come and visit Worthy forums. Liz4JC
  4. Greetings~ My next door neighbour Pam is a JW. She has shared some tracts with me. I read them and then thru them away. We talk about what is happening in our lifes and we talk about GOD. She doesn't try to convert me, I stand on solid ground and she knows this. We are friends because we are neighbours. I give her Christmas cookies and she eats them. We have gone out dumpster diving a few times together. A couple of times, her house lost power once in the summer (VERY HOT) and once in the winter(VERY COLD). I told her to get her stuff and son and come over and sleep in my living room. One of those times I fed them too. Just loving them like I am suspose to do. Liz4JC
  5. That's for the idea. Liz4JC
  6. Greetings~ I am a survior of colon cancer. It's been 4 years now. Liz4JC
  7. Greetings~ Topic Title ~ The Lord's Day Description ~ Isn't there more to His Day! I can remember back when my husband was alive and my twin daughters young. We would get up on Sunday morning, the girls would go to Sunday School. Then we would meet up with them and go to church. After church we would have a family dinner. This was afar cry from what the early disciples did. I have read that they gave coins to the poor and they visited with fatherless children and widows. It seems like it would be good if I were to pick a day of the week and do these things. I do help others, especially when they call on me. However, this isn't the same as doing it once a week, is it?! The Meijers store in my neighbourhood, drops the price of there roasted chicken after 8:30 at night. I would like to stop in sometime and buy what is left. Then take these roasted chickens down to Grand Rapids and give them away to the street people. It's in my head and I will do it soon as the winter weather breaks. My church St. Luke's they collect everyone's change during the service and then donate the money to one of the street people's mission in GR. I attend their Saturday service 5 pm. The collecting is good but it takes away the demand of the person to get up and do it himself. In all honesty, there is so much more I should do, Keeping the Faith is the easy part. Liz4JC
  8. Greetings~ My husband died in 1986 at the age of 55. My father died in 2002, in his 83 year. Loosing someone to death is hard but everyone goes thru it. It is sort of strange how things happen. It seems every time we had a birth in the family, someone in the family died. Liz

    Tithe,

Would you explain please what you mean? The tithe law is for the Jews. They are required to give 10% of their income. Christians give what they can to their churchs. They are not bound by the tithe law. I know this can turn into a debate, but I am just explaining the question. Liz
  10. The people who have the money will buy it. The people who can't afford it will just talk about it. That's life! Liz
  11. Greetings~ I am alittle late with this, however the Pastor of my church started his Christmas sermon with, "Repent, Repent today." Not words we are used too, especially at Christmas. To me Christmas is a time of loving, loving family, friends and strangers. Love is in the air, in a carol beening sung in a store or church. Seeing less fortunate children with smiles on their faces and knowing I help in some little way. Do we forget that John's mission was the forcall to the birth of Jesus. And.... Jesus's mission was to Save mankind. CatsMeow sent me a Christmas card, a very different kind of a card. On the front was a picture of Christ's birth and inside the card was the Cross. I am sharing this off the top of my mind without the card infront of me. (for those of you would also recieved one.) In a few weeks we will celebrate the death and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It comes with the reminder to Repent and be Saved! Merry Christmas! Liz4JC
  12. Hello~ re: Do messanic Jews understand and use the NT? I have heard that some participate more with the OT rather then the NT. The Lutheran church that I attend shares with us OT text and then shares the Gospel according to Jesus Christ, with us. I have always wondered why they don't share more of the OT. For it took the OT to have the NT as we all know. Liz
  13. Thanks for the indepth answer. I know that Messianic Jews are not a denomination. However there may be others here that didn't know that. So Thanks again.
  14. Guessed a house oh no! That size can do alot of damage to the earth let alone man. Liz4JC

    Is God Male?

Wow I am surprised at the outcome of the voting. It is my understanding God is neither male or female. We may address Him as "Father, "but we need to remember He isn't of this earth. Liz4JC
  16. Hello~ My question is Do Messianic Jews participate in communion (the bread and the wine)? Thanks to all who answer. Liz4JC
  17. Hello~ I was there in 1992, it was a wonderful trip. The sights are awesome. If you wear sandals you will get a very good idea why Jesus' feet were washed. Take pictures and enjoy the trip. Oh, don't go expecting anything this way you won't be disappointed. Shalom Liz4JC
  18. Your Welcome ~ Shalom! Liz4JC
  19. On Sunday March 11, 2007 at 8p.m., some Michiganders watched a bright colored meterorite fall from the heavens to earth. The science department at a Grand Rapids Museum stated that it was either the size of a softball or it could have been as big as a basketball. The TV reporter thought it may have landed in Ohio. I didn't get to see this one however I did see one fall back in 1995. It looked like it was the moon coming down. Just thought you might be interested in knowing this. Liz4JC
  20. I agree with your comment. However I am talking about the mysteries that don't jump out of the Bible at you. Liz
  21. Hello~ Today many people are being cremated rather then buried, mostly because of the cost of a burial funeral. Will the people who chose to be cremated, will they meet Jesus Christ in the clouds, upon wakening? Liz4JC
  22. Greetings ~ Are GOD'S Mysteries for everyone or just for a few? Liz4JC
  23. Greetings~ Spring is just around the corner and we are already seeing the price of gasoline rise. Here in the western side of Michigan regular gasoline is selling for $2.58. with the lowest being $2.44. The highest at $2.78. For certain with these prices, surely we will be paying over $3 per gallon this summer. Liz
