  1. I would rather be told the truth My Heavenly Father Loves me UNCONDITIONALLY, So much so that he Gave his only Son's life to save mine. All I have to do is accept Christ's atonement for my sin and Love him in return. Such a great Truth we have in Christ Jesus. I would rather face the fact the I am not perfect, and on this Earth can never be, BUT I don't have to be, Christ is my perfection, his Blood covers my sins and His life was given to save mine. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!! God Bless, Dave
  2. If I can get past Book 1 Chapter 1 I am sure I would enjoy them God Bless, Dave
  3. Am I the only one here that would love to get a look at the video tapes from both sides so I can actually make an educated decision on this matter. If they were there, condemning, judging, and causing strife, I can understand the arrests. If they were there to help lead these sinners to salvation and repentence, we need to fight along side of them, and not stand aside and say they deserve it. I for one, will take the risk of being in error and support my brethern until I have been given sufficient proof otherwise. It sounds to me like alot of the charges are bogus and will never make it through the trial. The AFA offering them FREE council says alot though, the AFA would only take this type of case on a pro-bono basis if they thought they could win it. The publicity for the AFA is only beneficial if the case is won, so I would say the tape this group possesses must be rather convincing to there side of the case. As far as the "Pink Angels" are concerned, they should of been arrested, they contained this group against there will. Surrounding them with pink styrofoam to block them out? come on now people, the devil is hard at work trying to take as many souls with him to the Lake of fire as he can. These are our Christian Brethern. What would Jesus do?? I love when non-believers ask this question to believers. Jesus was a loving man, God is a loving God, but there Character does not stop at just that. God is Just, God is Jealous, God is the ruler of all things. He is not willing that one shall perish. I know many of you do not agree with this method of witnessing, but what if 1 soul was saved that day? Unless you were there that day, or have seen the videos you have no way of knowing the actual events taht took place, So are you more inclined to trust the world or your brethern in this? The other issue here is, even if you believe they were not preaching in a productive manner, if they lose this case, you can bet these cases will only continue and they will get much worse. Pray for your brethern and pray for our country. God Bless, Dave
  4. You will get a mixed response on the Left Behind Series here. As there are Pre-trib, Mid-trib, and post-trib believers on this site. I myself am a believer in a Pre-trib rapture, my wife has read the entire series and loved every minute of it. I cannot get past chapter 1 of the first novel. The first 2 are available on video and dvd now as well, for those who are like me and can't get into the slow moving story line of the books. Oh yeah and there are 12 books to the series. God Bless, Dave

    Need Help

You don't have to become a "member" of any church organization. However, not forsaking the gathering of believers together in prayer is a crucial matter in the church (Heb. 10:25). Being a believer in Christ is not just a personal matter, it is a corporate matter as well. The Body of Christ is not built upon the individual efforts of single believers working out their own salvation apart from other believers, it is built through the functioning of all the members together (Eph. 4) No. In the New Testament age, you are encouraged to give of your increase according to your own conscience (2 Cor. 9:7) Who says you can't? I'm not sure I know what this means. It sounds a lot like the first question. Could you elaborate? Alcohol itself is not a sin. But the overconsumption of alcohol is a sin. Drunkenness is a sin, not the alcohol itself, or the occasional consumption of small amountsof alcohol. Divorce is a sin, except under a certain condition: "But I say to you that whomever divorces his wife, except for fornication, and marries another, commits adultery..." (Matt. 19:9) No. I have not found any Bible verses that speak to that issue. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ITA.. With Ovedya, Very well said brother. Also as some other posters mentioned. Donot rely on man, Prayerfully study the word of God and see what he reveals to you. God Bless, Dave
  6. That is a great video Bud thanks for sharing. God Bless, dave
  7. This is a rather unanswerable question. You see some will tell you that suicide is murdering one's self, and we know murder is a sin. If you are dead, you obviously cannot repent of this sin. So some will say you are damned for it. I say only God knows the heart, where you go at that time is ultimately in his hands. Why a Born Again believer would commit suicide is completely beyond my comprehension though. If you are Saved by faith in Christ and living a life pleasing to him, you would trust Him to bring you through whatever difficulties you may be having. God Bless, Dave P.S. If there is anybody out there reading this who needs help with something, PM one of the Admin team, any of us would be more then happy to speak with you.
  8. How any American (Christian or not) cannot support this war and our troops is beyond me. God Bless, Dave <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To support war, there must be justifiable reasons for going to war. Being you support the war, what are the just reasons for it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Same reason we have been involved in the large majority of the conflicts we have been. The liberation of a repressed people. Saddam killed more innocent Iraqi's then we have killed combatants. Saddam was a threat to the people of Iraq and to the rest of the world. God Bless, Dave <{POST_SNAPBACK}> First off, the only justification for going to war, is when a nation has been attacked or there is an eminent threat of an attack, by another. 2nd, no where in our constitution, does it say that we as a nation, are to be the liberators of another nation. 3rd, Iraqi's didn't ask us to invade and occupy their country, since we invaded, they have been fighting against us. The chaos we have created, is by far worse, than what Saddam was capable of. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you opposed every war we have fought to liberate others? Do you think we were wrong to get involved and bring down the Nazi regime? Are you opposed to the UN? Considering we liberated better then 75% of its members at some point or another. You as a Christian say we are sit by and watch a tyrant murder innocent civilians, and do nothing about it? Why? Because its costing you money? Because we have lost a few American troops? Do you know any soldiers that are in Iraq? Have you talked to anyone who is there? My best friend is there, risking his life to free the Iraqi citizens, and you know what, he wouldn't have it any other way. and btw, Iraqi's are not the ones we are fighting against now, any american soldier can and will tell you that. The fight is coming from insurgents from other countries, very few of the resistence is Iraqi natives. 90% of the IRaqi's are happy we are there, the ones who are not are the ones who lost all there Blood money when Saddam's regime fell. We are justified and we are needed. But most of all we are there and we cannot leave now. So support our troops, donot treat them like our brothers and sisters who came back from Nam. These are Brave men and women who willingly risk there lives and freedoms for the lives and freedoms of millions of Iraqi Citizens. Let me ask you a question. Say the US was taken over by a dictatorship, Run by a ruthless dictator who imprisoned and killed thousands of civilians just for disagreeing with him. We no longer have a civilian force to retaliate, We live in fear for our lives daily. Now there is a country halfway around the world who has the means to help us, they are willing to risk there own lives to save YOURS, do you turn them away or do you welcome the assistance so that you may be a free man? God Bless, Dave

  13. Even if a young girl is raped and becomes pregnant, she is not forced to raise that child. Adoption is always an option. The child should not be punished for the actions of the rapist. God Bless, Dave
  14. I hope so. There are may areas of disagreement between christians--issues where both sides can't be right. This doesn't mean that if you are wrong about something that you can't follow Jesus and be Christian. Many of the discussions here evidence this. Good christian people believe in eternal security and many good Christian people don't. Or how about election and free will: some agree with TULIP and some don't. Individuals on both sides of this argument seem to be followers of Jesus. I have my beliefs on issues like these but "at the end of the day" I don't think they really matter. All that matters is that I surrender my will daily and make His will my will. Heck, I am probably wrong about a lot of stuff I believe. I don't have all the answers. That is why I am careful about the doctrine I am dogmatic about. I am not dogmatic about issues were there is room for different understanding or interpretation of the Bible: I may be wrong. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The best post of this thread is quoted above. I am in total agreement Pretzel. God Bless, Dave
  15. Carlos, it is great to see, that you are working throught things with your wife. A few suggestions on the boots. First instead of just walking away and leaving the conversation, a simple I am sorry honey I thought they were dry I will be more considerate next time. Now as far as fixing the boot situation, if you are just running in the house for a minute maybe asking her to get what you need for you is one alternative. At least then if she says get it yourself you are justified in going in with your boots on. lol In all seriousness, she should be just as willing to compromise as you are. Remember though she may be in the middle of something and can't do it right that second so be patient, or just take the boots off God Bless, Dave
  16. There is a Christian theatre in Lancaster, PA that my wife and I attended a show "The Miracle of Christmas" on Saturday. (My early B-Day Present). Anyway if any of you ever get to PA or if you live in PA and have not been to see this or any of there shows I strongly recommend it. The play was about the Birth of Jesus and was very good, we are planning on going back in March or April to see "Behold the Lamb" which is about the Life, Death, and Resurrection of Christ. My wife went and saw it last summer and loved it. Again I would strongly suggest if any of you get the chance and are in the area, attend one of there shows, you will not be disappointed. God Bless, Dave P.S. here is a link to there website. Sight and Sound Theatres

    Hell????

Maybe you should recheck the context . And what of the other verses? You cannot twist the bible to meet your own personal theology. The bible shapes the Christian not the other way around. Hell is real, if you have a hard time accepting that your friends and family will end up in eternal torment, DONT LET THEM. Plant the seeds of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ deep in the soil of their hearts, so that Christ may water it and draw them to him. God Bless, Dave
  18. Can we stop comparing this MOVIE to the word of God. If you take it as that, you are the one perverted the word of God. This is a movie, the movie happens to tell the story of the Last 12hrs of Jesus's life, that does not make it the word of God, nor does it mean it will be 100% biblical, and no one ever claimed it was. \ Mel himself will tell you alot of the story came from the Catholic Stations of hte Cross and a book written by a Nun that was called "The Dolorous Passion of Christ". Does any of this take away from the message? nope... Does any of this make it less of a witnessing tool? Nope... the sheer numbers of people who went and saw this movie is amazing. The numbers of people letter to the Lord through this film I am sure are rather impressive as well. Now on that note let me restate one thing. This was a MOVIE. It was not and is not the WORD OF GOD. God Bless, Dave

    Hell????

Many scholars and religious historians believe hell is a only complete separation from God, and is not literal torment, but their beliefs directly contradict God's word.
  20. Don't laugh too hard.. Looks like that may not be far off at this point. If you wanna see where our country is headed just look at California, they are our little glimpse into the future. God Bless, Dave
  21. What I find odd is the Gov't agency that was investigating this woman for months decided she was stable This is such a sad turn of events everytime I hear of a child dying I just think what if that was my son? How Could I handle that? Let us pray for this woman and her family. God Bless, Dave
  22. With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching we as Americans have alot to be thankful for. But this is also a great time to remember who we have to thank for these things. Firstly I thank God for all he has provided me and my family with, and for allowing me to be Born an American, here is this great free Country of ours. Secondly I thank all the Men and women who have served in the military to protect those freedoms we all too often take for granted. Please pray for all those who have died protecting our freedoms throughout all of the history of American. Let us also remember those troops who will not be with there families this Thanksgiving as they are in Iraq defending our freedoms and providing millions of people in Iraq with the chance to have these very same freedoms. In closing I would ask that you all be pray for those who have given up Thanksgiving with there families forever, the men and women who have died in service to our Country, not only in Iraq but all around the world. Pray for our troops and there families Here is a list of the Coalition Troops that have been killed in Iraq, please please please pray for them and there families, and know that these are the men and women who make it possible for us to have the freedoms we take for granted. God Bless, Dave
  23. No, but like all other denominations or religions i Suggest you research them and what they really believe before you go out to discredit them. Also I will remind you the Catholic church is not any different from the Protestant church in that, there are multiple denominations, or belief patterns. Also like any religion or denomination you will always find radicals who take things for more then what they are. Mormans are really really really easy to discredit and disprove. What I find most amusing about the morman church is that they still get converts. I am sorry but you have to be pretty dang gullible to follow tht crab. It only takes about 5 minutes of comparing there writings to the bible t figure out there teachings are false. God Bless, Dave

    speaking in tongues

I can appreciate your sentiments. However, I know I have heard other languages that sound exactly like the "tongue" I have heard coming from the mouths of others. Unfortuanately, I was never able to discover what that language was. But it was so aggrevating that I could not do so because I recognized it! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But even then what we see at Pentacost... is they didn't hear it in a foreign language. They all heard it in there own language. So if somebody can speak in tongues today... if you spoke spanish and I spoke English you would hear them in Spanish and I would hear them in English. This is definately not an issue to divide over, and I have the utmost respect for those who practice modern tongues. Although i donot practice it, I do accept that some feel they get edification from it. God Bless, Dave
