I didn't like Mr Rudd Damo because when the country needed a boost during the global downturn he decided to give free cash to spend on big screen tv's etc. Money which many people used more wisely but money which turned a good surplus into a deficit overnight. He was stabbed in the back though as we know and this was very un- Australian. Did you know Damo that our current PM is the first to not use a bible when sworn into office? The only John Smith I know is relative and not the God squad biker. It is a common name The victorian police are in close contact with another state as we speak concerning a number of cross border bikers. These particular bikers are not the nice kind. Hi ninhao I know the bike groups your thinking off it is going to give the victorian police the right to raid their club houses and shut them down which is going to be very intresting yes because she is an Atheist thats what i found very strange but kevin rudd was the only prime minister who said sorry to our aborigonal people notice how the other prime ministers avoided saying sorry i did not buy a big screen tv i used this to go and spend time with my partner that was not a bad idea as it sort off helped a lot off familys pay off bills what worried me when my $900 cheque arived did i have to pay it back i did not spend it right away

Hi ninhao :mgcheerful: this is what most off us are not happy about never was like this. when i was young i was able to walk in and get what was need bullets for my air rifle and 22 i have grown up around guns since i was young ninhao my dad was in the army and so was my brother both active soilders in the croatian army our farm was close to the forest we had bears that would often wonder in and as kid i was taught how to use a gun nothing beats killing a wild young pig and cooking it slow on a spit i even use to kill the odd rabbit i have had ferrets and have used ferrets to get the odd rabbit yet sometimes the ferret ends up enjoying the rabbit you want for dinner when you apply for a licence they go right through you ninhao and if you have had been in trouble with the police served time you are knocked back from applying for a gun licence you have to have a safe and it has to be bolted to the floor back in the 80 it was not like this ninhao our guns were kept in my dads bedroom in the cupboard Firearms categories Firearms in Australia are grouped into Categories with different levels of control. The categories are: Category A: Rimfire rifles (not semi-automatic), shotguns (not pump-action or semi-automatic), air rifles, and paintball markers. A "Genuine Reason" must be provided for a Category A firearm. Category B: Centrefire rifles (not semi-automatic), muzzleloading firearms made after 1 January 1901. Apart from a "Genuine Reason", a "Genuine Need" must be demonstrated, including why a Category A firearm would not be suitable. Category C: Semi-automatic rimfire rifles holding 10 or fewer rounds and pump-action or semi-automatic shotguns holding 5 or fewer rounds. Category C firearms are strongly restricted: only primary producers, occupational shooters, collectors and some clay target shooters can own functional Category C firearms. Category D: Semi-automatic centrefire rifles, pump-action or semi-automatic shotguns holding more than 5 rounds. Functional Category D firearms are restricted to government agencies and a few occupational shooters. Collectors may own deactivated Category D firearms. [*]Category H: Handguns including air pistols and deactivated handguns. This class is available to target shooters. To be eligible for a Category H firearm, a target shooter must serve a probationary period of six months using club handguns, and a minimum number of matches yearly to retain each category of handgun. Target shooters are limited to handguns of .38 or 9mm calibre or less and magazines may hold a maximum of 10 rounds. Participants in certain "approved" pistol competitions may acquire handguns up to .45", currently Single Action Shooting and Metallic Silhouette. IPSC shooting is approved for 9mm/.38/.357 handguns that meet the IPSC rules, but larger calibers are not approved for IPSC handgun shooting contests. Category H barrels must be at least 100mm (3.94") long for revolvers, and 120mm (4.72") for semi-automatic pistols unless the pistols are clearly ISSF target pistols: magazines are restricted to 10 rounds. Handguns held as part of a collection were exempted from these limits. [*]Category R/E: Restricted weapons: machine guns, rocket launchers, assault rifles, flame-throwers, anti-tank guns, Howitzers, artillery, etc. can be owned by collectors in some states provided that these weapons have been rendered permanently inoperable. They are subject to the same storage and licensing requirements as fully functioning firearms. Certain Antique firearms can in some states be legally held without licences. In other states they are subject to the same requirements as modern firearms. All single-shot muzzleloading firearms manufactured before 1 January 1901 are considered antique firearms. Four states require licences for antique percussion revolvers and cartridge repeating firearms, but in Queensland and Victoria a person may possess such a firearm without a licence, so long as the firearm is registered (percussion revolvers require a license in Victoria).

Hello Damo, Has the temperature in Canberra reached above 20 yet . We have had some mid 30 days here and I pray it is a good season of no bush fire.. I agree our elected officials don't always do as they are told. The current carbon tax for example was voted against strongly and yet the current government reneged on a promise to please Bob Brown as we know. This is unfortunate but we have better days ahead after the next election. I understand why you can feel annoyed by the strong gun laws because you are a law abiding citizen. Personally I hate waiting at a red traffic light in my town when no traffic is coming for miles in the other direction. I am an excellent driver too you may ask my insurance company. Laws are made because some people do the wrong thing but everyone suffers because of this. I am aware of the psyop theory concerning Port Arthur but after careful deliberation I place it in the non lunar landing category. It has some merit but is false imo. Please regard the organisations from where you get the psyop information are pro gun as apposed to the anti gun lobby which protested loud after Port Arthur. They both had agendas. The extremely large ambulance purchased prior to the massacre is quite strange but I will not make light of the people who died that day by talking too much about this. I don't mean that as an insult to you. I am glad your relative was fortunate on that day. In Australia remember the majority elects the government which decides the laws we live under ( depending on the parliament majority) and voting is compulsory here. The people have spoken concerning this matter. Hi ninhao It has been very hot hear in Canberra does not help when your living in a home that is warm in summer and cold in winter I am like you when it comes to the Carbon tax notice how we are the only country that has caved in and what is worse our high electricity prices even by changing from one company to another you do begin to notice when the bill arrives i use to pay every month but know i pay every fortnight what i found strange is how kevin rudd was treated i liked kevin rudd i was in the philippines when julia gillard decided to go against kevin rudd never have i seen where this can happen oh paul keating i think did this too bob hawk even though the majority elects our leaders the secular ones do not really listen even though i live in the national capital off Australia and have been to the prayer meeting at Parliment house the poor often ignored promisses come ellection time but soon as its over back to normal i have met some of the christian politicans which i did not even know they were christians often i would see them on abc parliment question time but never knew they were christians you can still get guns hand guns thanks to the black market ninhao even though we have some off the tuffest gun controll laws bikes criminals find a way to get what they want and i know a lot off australians have not handed their guns in reminder i did not vote last ellection got to send 20 to the electoral commission that is what happens when you decide not to vote my x wifes cusin came very close to being one off thos victems shot in that cafe his school bus pulled in as just as martin bryant walked in his teacher called him back what i do not like is the way it is becoming a nanny state telling us what we can and can not do to the point were certain people are being picked on watch what happens in victoria when the police start cracking down on the bikes i know some guys from the god squad have you ever heard of John smith ? John smith has been reaching out to the bikes how is the tempreature were you

This style of comment causes people who live in low gun ownership countries to think poorly upon the gun lobby. In Australia we don't have any slaves but only free men who may or may not own a gun. Unless you have been joking then good joke. Not a joke at all. Every totalitarian government wants a disarmed populace. Then you are nothing more than a slave easily herded into the waiting boxcar for your trip to the re-education camps...cause that just doesn't happen...right? An unarmed populace is easy to push around, the goal of liberals everywhere. Editor1- Maybe we should all be like Chicago, where they have some of the strictest gun control laws in America, because they have completely eliminated gun violence. /sarc off. In Australia the people use their vote to effectively bring change in government and legislation ( not in all issues but many. The next election here the people will use their vote to remove an unwanted carbon tax it seems etc ). After the Australian federal government( and all state governments),post 1996, effected stronger gun control laws they were returned to power in the next election. We don't live in fear in Australia of a totalitarian government ( real or imagined ) and the mostly unarmed Australian populace are quite capable of removing an unfit government without weapons. . I suggest if the current USA government effects stronger gun control laws the people will use their vote in the next election to remove this party considering the level of gun ownership. Hi ninhao yes we use our vote but do our ellected leaders listen to us ? i do not like having my rights taken off me as a kid i use to enjoy going hunting with my father and step mothers brothers know i can no longer do this i do not own a gun in Australia but i do own a gun in the philippines i do not like having to give up something i enjoyed as a kid even though i replaced hunting with fishing i still miss not being able to go out in the forest and kill a wild pig i should be allowed to go out hunting with out meeting the regular standards all thanks to Martin Bryant, the cafe were those inocent people were killed my x wifes cusin was lucky as his teacher and class mates heard what was going on he was going to go in get something to eat Port Arthur Massacre On Sunday, 28 April 1996, at a sleepy little tourist location known as Port Arthur, something went down that will long live in memory of Australia's collective psyche. An unknown professional combat shooter opened fire in the Broad Arrow Cafe at Port Arthur in Tasmania. In less than a minute 20 people lay dead, 19 of them killed with single shots to the head, fired from the right hip of the fast-moving shooter. The awesome display of combat marksmanship was blamed on intellectually impaired Martin Bryant, who was held in illegal strict solitary confinement for more than 120 days, until he was "ready" to plead guilty. There was no trial. Within a matter of weeks legislation was passed to removed semi-automatic weapons from the Australian population and a gun buy-back proceeded. It is now illegal to own any semi-automatic gun in Australia. The Port Arthur Massacre has come to be known in conspiracy circles as a "psyop". The definition of a psyop is a psychological operation or an event designed to drum up public support for some piece of legislation that would be otherwise be unpopular and probably be defeated. It is one of the signs of a propaganda campaign when the media continuously plays up scenes that are designed to appeal to gut level instincts to soften people up for the solution to be offered. While gunlaws should make a country a safer place to live, in reality they are a move against the freedom and self-defence of the people. THOMAS JEFFERSON "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government". 1-----Nazi Germany established gun control in 1938 enabling the government to round up 13 million defenceless Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, mentally ill and impaired human beings, imprisoning them in concentration camps, and by a conscious process of attrition, destroyed them. 2-----The Turkish Ottoman Empire established gun control in 1911, proceeding then to exterminate 1.5 million Armenians from 1914 - 1917.

this is why i am refussing to trust the tony abbott Black Hole? Independent Tony Windsor says Tony Abbott needs to explain a multi-billion dollar hole in the Coalition's promises costings. Mr Windsor says a Treasury analysis of Mr Abbott's economic plan shows a blackhole of between 7 & 11 billion dollars. mr abbott was not being honest and was holding back but the coalition was not holding anything back abbott thinks he can govern the country this is why i dont trust abbott after Mr Wilkie said a budget blackhole in the Coalition's election policies played a part in his choice. its going to be intresting but Julia Gilard better watch her back as what she did to kevin rud it can happen to her could not fit everything in one post so i am sorry for the two posts if i had my way i would not have voted at all did this and it cost me $50 thats what you are fined if you dont vote

had to have a good read to see wher this topic was going before i decided to leave a reply in this topic that way i am not treading on no ones toes and speaking for my self with out de railing the thread or getting into pathetic arguments trying to explaine why i voted for labour even though i did not like how kevin rudd was stood down and how Julia was put in her position yet i dont trust the libral party i dont trust abott as i knew if the libral party wer to win work choices would come back under a new name abott aslo was holding back right know i am waiting like every other australian to find out if the labour party has all the support it needs to form a goverment right know its intresting as for the first time in australian history its a hung parliment i have only just came back to australia and when i heard what was done to our old prime minister i was not happy the poor guy was not given a chance as he was voted in by us looking at the polls the voters want the Independents to back labour Independent MP's deciding who'll form the next Government have given themselves this weekend to make up their minds. Queenslander Bob Katter has also released his wishlist it's long and many of his demands guess we wil find out by next week as i certainly did not want to be voting again we kevin rud lost it when he took on the minning companys and i could see that no one was going to back him its as if it was a midnight hit and run and poor kevin got the boot Katter brushes off 'tricky stuff' North Queensland independent MP Bob Katter says "all sorts of tricky stuff" is taking place to try to convince him to back a coalition minority government the libral party are doing a lot of whinning right know bunch of cry babys i dont want the libral party to be in controll thats just me well thats my two cents worth

I would really appreciate if you would share your story in more detail. Fez, South and Damo stories where really uplifting to me. Hearing words of encouragement would be great. I'm 28 and have never had a girlfriend or dated. Passed up on oppurtunities to date nonchristians when others haven't and they have since been married (thankfully to christians). That is something I struggle with a lot. It's been a struggle somedays with loneliness and wondering if God has forgotten me. At times I wonder if maybe something is wrong with me. Although I know that it is part of the devil's plan to attack me with all the things I mentioned. hi tjhawks1 this is damo i read your post and i can feel were you are comming from draw close to god and dont let the lonliness get to you and dont let religon dictate to you if you are seriouse and you are wanting a spouce you wil need to do some leg work to dont expect god to do the courting on your behalf satan can only attack you if you alow him to cover your self i hav been on my own since i was young i am an unwanted child most of my christmas and birthdays hav been spent on my own tjhawks i am nearly 42yrs old i am going to be out of the country for two months i wil hav my lap top with me i will try to add to this topic i do hav a USB modem that i use when i am in the philippines i sort of tend to step out in faith and dont tend to rely on what has worked for some one else if i did not act on my gut instiincts and listen to that inner voice i would not hav met my partner if i can say one thing dont alow history to repeat its self you know what your flaws are i dont my biggest fear was adjusting to a family i hav gotten so use to being on my own it got to the point were it did not bother me i tried sharing to fill the void and often would go to my room just to avoid my house mate or i would go walk about i did this often my problem was this when ever i got close to a women who i showed intrest in it ended bad wer i pushed the ones i was drawn to out of my life i never allowed no women to get close to me i found it hard to open up and say what was realy going on i did this with my x wife and son and if i could take back what i did i would yet i tend not to blame satan for the mistakes i hav made god gives us a free will and its up to us if we do it his way or our way before i began searching for a partner i stayed singl for 10yrs my x wife left me in 1998 found a guy moved in with him he ended up chatting to another women online and moved to melbourne leaving my x wife with a big ph bill and inter net bill to pay off me and my x wife are good friends her new husband use to be a youth pastor my son loves him and has taken on his last name i gav my x wife the ok to do this its taking time for my son to come around and i am not pushing him to cal me dad or am i pushing him to forgiv me i get up dated photos and my x wife tells me what he is up to my son just turned 13 and has started high school i hav a chance to raise a child that is not mine my new fiance comes from a big family and they al belong to the baptist church you need to do some pros and cons and some praying i wanted a filipina wife and i made it clear that i did not want an australian i did my re search talked to other guys who had looked abroad and what i saw is this how ther filipina wifes treat them and how happy they are also she is very prottective over me the ones i dated only used me and cheated behind my back hope fully fez wil take over and giv you some sound advice i am getting ready to travel i am looking forward to being with my fiance and her daughter and her family if i get the chance i wil reply to your questions hear is one question i am going to leav are you comfterbal in your own skin ? damo1

No one has advocated that these people should be set free or that they didn't break Haitian law. They didn't break American law and cannot be charged here. However, Christians are required to observe the laws of the country they are in. true to what you hav said so are we realy praying for gods will to be done meaning if thes missonerys are charged and dont get out and serv time asking god to work threw thes missonerys to reach out to the inmates and be a blessing not just to the inmates but to the guards and the warden thes christians broke the haitian law did they realy expect to bring the kids to america with out doing some leg work and starting the process from america before entering haiti the missonerys were lied to thinking that the kids they wanted to bring were real orphans with no surviving parent or family member the lawyer they hired was extorting them even thou he is saying he was not extorting them at least you are seeing they had brokken the law i am hearing they wil serv 15yrs damo1 I agree; they broke the laws of a sovereign country and they will have to face the consequences. And, yeah, it sounds like the leader didn't tell nine of them that they didn't have proper documentation. My concern is for the kids; they aren't objects to be moved here and there on someone's badly thought out whim. This may serve to discourage others with similar ideas. amen i agree totaly with you morning glory but i am not getting much info from the local christian radio station i listen to in canberra are you getting much info in your area you liv in are the local christian radio stations stating what is going to happen or is it just the secular news stations sbs yesterday only did a short segment and focused on the building of haiti and i heard that the debt wil be wiped meaning haiti wil not hav to pay back what was lent to them i also agree with you as this will discourage others from adopting a child from haiti i heard ther are one million kids in haiti with out a parent but i am wonderng if what i heard is true damo1

amen and its the same in the philippines ther are certain provinances missonerys can not enter and are warned by the goverment yet what i see is what fez stated i see missonerys trying to take over to the point were they dont abide or do they show any respect to the pastor or the people same goes with adopting a child from the philippines ther are guide lines one must follow and the churches in the philippines know the guide lines when it comes to adopting and sponcering an orphan who has no parents you dont need a licence though if you are invited by the pastor as the pastor fills out the paper work stating that they will look after you while you are in ther country thes missonerys are expecting the judge to feel sorry for them and let them of scot free you can see it by the way they are adressing the situation they hav found them selves in also what i am sencing is this ther not ussing the oppertunity that has been presented before them wher they wanted to help thes kids they can share the gospel to the inmates as thes inmates need to hear that ther is a god who loves them and who wants to set them free when i am with my fiance and her family i make sure i dont do nothing wrong i hav a copy of my pass port never do i carry my origonal pass port on me as ther are pick pockets working in with the police you also hav kidnapping gangs working with the police ther are corrupted cops and the goverment has done nothing to deal with the corruption from with in the police force my fiances cusin is the cheif of police of la castellana the stuff i hear what happens to foriegners and missonerys who dont do ther leg work shocks me i hav been lucky as i know god watches over me i can sence this and i thank god for his prottection i hav not fallen sick not been taken advantage of or hav i had some one try to kidnap me i show respect to my fiances family the people in the provinace and her neighbours i smile say hello and play basket ball and chat with the kids that hang out at the front a window has opened up and thes missonerys are not seeing the big picture very gulible yet very silly trying to get the judge to feel sorry for them because they are christians damo1

the missonerys from the baptist church who are know finding them selves in deep water and behind bars did not do ther home work i was listening to sbs world news in australia and the lawyer that was hired by thes missonerys wanted $70 , 000 when he was questioned he said it was his normal fee and was not extorting thes missonerys just because you are a christian does not give you the right to do as you see fit you are to obey the laws of the country you live in and if you visit a country obey the laws of the country you visit what amazes me is this the bahavor of some people when in a foreign country i see this in the philippines and it hurts to see how some americans think that they can do as they see fit thes ones show no respect to my fiances people they act supperior and expect the red carpet to be rolled out for them because they are americans example one guy booked into a hotel in the philippines when he was due too leav he refused to pay the bill he had a go at a one of the staff members reminding them that if it was not for america stepping in and doing what was done they would still be under the control of the japs wel he learnt very fast and was arrested and deported with a black stamp on his pass port thes missonerys broke the law its as simple as that i feel for them they hav every right to be scared but its know in the hands of the judge gods will wil be done but not to the way thes missonerys are expecting if thes missonerys did ther re search talked to the propper authoritys filed out the normal form my friend filled out talked to immigration in america had started the process for the visas for the kids they wanted to adopt they would not be in the situation they are in know i belive god will work threw thes missonerys to reach out to the men and women in the jail they are in i heard of a pastor who served 20yrs this pastor was set up he was inocent the hindus in his village blamed him for killing a man his wife and his church stood behind him with the same expectations as i am hearing know for the missonerys the poor guy served 20yrs in one of the worst jails he alowed god to speak threw him to the men he had gotten to know and know he is free he is with his wife and kids and back in his village preaching to the members in his church and reaching out to the sinners in his vilage so hear is my question i would like answered because they are americans should they be treated diffrent should the red carpet be layed out for them ? 9 australians were charged for bringing in drugs into bali thes australians are young and are fighting to hav the decession of the judge changed they are going to be killed the familys of thes australians with ther lawyers are pleading to the judge but he is not budging so you tell me because thes missonerys are christians and are americans should they be set free and not charged ? damo1

even if its just you or one person that turns up its still called a prayer meeting fez reason i am stating this i miss the church i use to belong to we started from 5 to were know ther are 15 people attending every monday night from 7.30pm to 9pm what my old pastor did was pray he asked the lord to bring the right people to the prayer meetings as he relized not all the members would turn up i though notice in the philippines people are hungry especialy the young people the young people get right behind the pastor i stated to a friend who is a pastor you are blessed to hav your young people turing up to the prayer meetings and especialy at 5am i stated the pastors in australia are crying out to god asking god to draw the young people to the prayer meetings it does not hav to be were you hold your prayer meetings in your church it can be any were for example in singapore and in manila they hav prayer rooms at the air port and thre are christians who work at the air ports who go to thes prayer rooms set up and hold regular prayer meetings also any one can use thes prayer rooms my suggestion is pray ask god to guide the right ones who will committ as your not alone i hav been to a prayer meeting were its just been me the pastors wife and one elder thats it and it was like this for 2 yrs dont be discouraged if no one shows up for a while and its only you i love being with the christians i am getting to know in the philippines the men and women and young people i hav gotten to know hav been a blessing to me thes guys dont play church dont put on a show or do they come for social gatherings they are realy hungry wanting god to set ther people free and i feel something wonderful is going to happen in the philippines thats all i can add to this fez i am not hear to gain royal membership status and will be away from this forum for some time damo1

one of the reasons i added to this topic is due to the country i wil be living in its a very religous country meaning its a catholic country what i hav noticed is this some of the pastors i hav gotten to know cant be humen or will ther members alow them to date or seek out a partner my x fiance has come before the lord and is seeking but she told me her members want her to stay singl she cant be her self meaning being a humen being or going out for a dinner date with a single male what i found strange is the way couples behave some couples will not hold hands or be seen in public by them selves while other couples like me and my fiance brake al the rules wer we hold hands go out to dinner and sit at a local park and just chat with out having a family member or some one from the church watching your every move for her to be her self she goes away when its her time to take leave were no prying eye reports to the senior pastor what she gets up to or who she talks to she told me that she did not want to hurt me and was praying that god would hear her prayers she fasted and got another pastor to also pray that god would put a decent women in my path who will not let me down or abandon me or hurt me when it comes to dating and courting we should be alowed to seek out our futer partners with out religon dictating to us i hav been let down sevral times and it got to stage wer i had had it with seeking a singl christian women i also was contemplating on living the singl life i am nearly 42 been on my own since i was young atrracted the wrong women women who had been either abused or had violent partners dated singl mothers went out my way to show that i am not like the x boy friend or the father of the child i looked at pauls life he had it all and could hav had a wife yet he decided to live the singl life i got a pen and paper and joted some things down pros and cons for finding a partner and living the singl life intresting that some hav been avoiding this topic as i would like to hear your replys to what i hav left are our singl pastors alowed to date or do we expect our singl pastors weather they are male or female to live the singl life were they meet all our needs while they are told they cant date or seek a partner damo1
