Love this one.
@marvelloustime I love it, too. When I was just a girl this was one of my favorites in our church hymnal. Must have been the Pastor's, as well...because we sang this one a LOT. he he.
Thanks for posting this. It is a really nice version of it. Did you know it was written by a blind poet named Fanny Crosby? Hers is a fascinating story. I will be posting a biography clip under General videos. Keep watch for it, okay? God bless you.

A tiny rhyme to go along with this emoji who I have affectionately named "Go-Go-Gospel" because of the circuit riders of old who used to go from village to village spreading the gospel via horse.

This month marks my 47th Birthday ("Born Again Birthday", that is. )
I wrote a poem to celebrate this, the most important day in my life.
I wanted to share it with you, my Worthy family
Testimony- (A Poem I Wrote This Month)
I praise God for Christian parents
Ones who cared about my soul
As a child the seeds were planted
And I felt the Spirit's pullGrandma gave me my own Bible
I discovered there's a Hell
Then I read I was a sinner
Who deserved to go there wellBut in Jesus there was mercy
He who paid the price for sin
I cried out to be forgiven
And God's Spirit entered inIn that moment Jesus found me
I became a new creation
Trusting in His blood to save me
Christ alone was my salvationMy desires changed to please Him
These my Savior put in me
Flowing freely for I loved Him
living for eternityScripture became precious to me
In a way unlike before
I would just devour it daily
Finding I was craving moreTelling others about Jesus
How He died to save them, too
Sharing with the lost the gospel
Now was what I longed to doPraying, praising not a burden
They became a pure delight
Fellowshiping with my Savior
Who had brought this blind soul sightThis- my simple testimony
How Christ made my heart brand new
To the ones who still don't know Him
He can do the same for you- 2

Is that biblical? Thanks.
@marvelloustime said, "He transforms us by His Holy Spirit to make us more like Him." (I hope it is okay if I answer for her She can add on, if she wishes. But this is one verse showing it is scriptural.)
"And we all having been unveiled in face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit." (2 Cor 3:18)

IT IS TIME to PRAISE THE HOLY LORD and do all out battle to contend for the true life saving gospel of FAITH IN JESUS .
So hands up Dusty and marvelous , and just let the LORD be praised .
@frienduff thaylorde @marvelloustime @DustyRoad
I'm on board with you guys!
I'm a joyful contender for the gospel.
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. (Jude 1:3)
Raising up my hands in praise.

@marvelloustime Lovely picture and scripture, sis!
This one makes me think of Isaiah 59:19
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

The New Testament agrees nicely with this one, too. he he.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." (1 Peter 5:7)
Isn't it something how the scriptures from the Old are confirmed in the New? I looove when God does that!

@marvelloustime When I read this, A New Testament verse about His wonderful Name popped in my mind.
"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) Since it talks about His name and being safe it seemed like a New Testament counterpart to it.

The Heart Of God
in Absolutely Positive!
Posted
One thing we know about the Heart of God for certain is that He wants a personal relationship with each of the human beings He created. In the Garden, He was able to have that with the first two He made.
But fellowship was broken when sin came into the picture. Despite this grave situation, God took pity on humanity. He mercifully provided a way to restore things through what Jesus Christ did on the cross on our behalf..
He paid the price for our sin so we could spend eternity with Him if we would look to the blood of Jesus and put our trust in Him for Salvation.
Scripture assures us that God wants every one of us to be saved-
This is the Heart of God for us... Praise the Lord!
