  1. I don't think I'll ever have to worry about getting a ticket to see it - I'm sure it's out of my price range! But I've wondered about that whole area...I just have a bad feeling about it. It seems sort of, I don't know, just wrong. All I can say is it's a feeling I have. <>< ><> Nathele
  2. What a mixed up world. The article about a cross being put in the pagan worship circle is called a hate crime, but this is treated as just another story. Sad, very sad. <>< ><> Nathele
  3. I would be nervous going up there in the first place, but even more so if it isn't safe. It must have a wonderful view, though. <>< ><> Nathele
  4. It will be worked out and the Temple will be rebuilt. I don't know how, but I know God will lead them in the details. <>< ><> Nathele
  5. It is very interesting reading the articles on the Temple Institute site. There is a lengthy one about the Red Heifer. Another interesting one is about the priests robes. They are tailoring them to fit specific people. It sounds to me as if they are sure the Temple will be rebuilt soon. I realy to like looking through the site because they are so inspired in what they are doing. The pictures of the things that they have re-created are beautiful and the research they have done be be sure that they make everything as God said had to have been quite an undertaking. <>< ><> Nathele
  6. I am very interested in the Jews wanting to rebuild the Temple. It has to be done because the Abomination of Desolation will be there. I read an article a while back (I think I posted it on Worthy) about a prediction that when the Churva Synagogue is completed, the building of the Temple will begin. That synagogue is to be finished on March 15th this year. The article indicates that they see this as fulfilling prophecy. http://www.templeinstitute.org/gra-churva-holy-temple.htm I found it interesting and thought I would share. <>< ><> Nathele
  7. You have a sweet and gentle way about you. Instead of being embarrassed you need to thank God that He opened your eyes to things that were wrong with this relationship and that He gave you courage to stand up for your convictions. Maybe, because you did not compromise your beliefs this young man will do some soul searching and stop doing the things that are offensive. <>< ><> Nathele
  8. This sickens me. I really do get fed up with "tollerance". Especially when Christianity is so put-down. I've been hearing more and more that they will allow the word God to be used, but don't mention Jesus. Well, if these lost pagan people can worship their god, then Christians should be free to pray in Christ's name and speak of Him openly whether on government property or not. I am reminded of Paul; Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, "Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Acts 17:22-24 <>< ><> Nathele
  9. Here are a couple of articles from Got Questions: http://www.gotquestions.org/Sabbath-day-rest.html http://www.gotquestions.org/Sabbath-keeping.html These might give you a little insight about the Sabbath <>< ><> Nathele
  10. I think that the sooner you tell him the better. I'm sure you can be gentle, and be as honest as you can. Possibly the things that you are concerned with are things he isn't aware of. Just don't be mean. <>< ><> Nathele
  11. Thanks for this website! I've bookmarked it. As far as buying one, I'm sure you can go to any bookstore and find what you are looking for. I can't remember where we bought ours, but it was vey inexpensive and very complete. <>< ><> Nathele
  12. I think one of the problems young adults face is meeting each other. I live in a rural area and there are many churches. The one my family and I attend has a very strong youth program and many adults, but nothing in between. I have a 19 year old daughter (soon to be 20) who is under the impression that there are no Christian guys around. Well, there are none in our church. I would like someone to start a young adult Bible study that would meet in our local Christian coffee shop and make it available to all of the local churches. That way young Christians could build friendships with other young Christians who they might never have known to be Christians. There could be an occassional outing as a group, but the main idea would be to teach these young people what God says about life - what a Godly man should be, what a Godly woman should be, how important marriage is, turning away from the world and turning to God. <>< ><> Nathele
  13. Have you seen writing on your door before? If so, did you understand the meaning? When you told this person about the name on the door, did she have any suggestions as to what it might mean? Are the newspapers any way related to the name? It's kind of a strange thing to see, but if God meant it for a message then you should be able to figure it out. <>< ><> Nathele
  14. If you are doing what God asks of you, then leave it in His hands. Keep doing things His way. It seems that if your sister is offended by you improving your walk with God, then she is being convicted for things in her life. Keep being and example. Don't "preach", but just live according to God's word. I'm sure you pray for your sister...pray that her eyes will be opened. Don't expect it overnight, but keep living to please Jesus. <>< ><> Nathele
  15. Is your sister a Christian? It could be that whatever you did that she sees as you being judgmental is only that she is being convicted. None of us are perfect, but if you strive to please God then you are doing right. If your actions offend others, just examine how you did something and if it lines up with God's word then it's OK. None of us deserve the blessings that God gives us, but He loves us enough to give them to us anyway. Just keep praying and conforming to Christ and let Him take care of how others view your life. <>< ><> Nathele
  16. If you are called to be creative, then do it. Just be sure it glorifies God. Pray about it and ask for confirmation and openings. My suggestion is to not quit you day job. <>< ><> Nathele
  17. Could it be that the more you read your Bible, the more you are being molded into what God wants you to be? I, too, am a Constervative and proud of it. I have always been conservative, but the closer I get to God the more conservative I get. The truth is, I just really want to be more like Him. <>< ><> Nathele
  18. I am so sorry for your loss. When someone we love dies we always want to blame God. Remember that God created a wonderful world, but Adam chose to sin. Who was behind the lie? Satan. He is the one to blame for the evils in this world. Remember, too, the God entered His creation to save us from our sins. That is love. Don't be afraid to cray and mourn your friend's death. It would be wrong to hold in your tears. You said that you have the same type of husband. Seashell, please protect yourself against violence. Again, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. <>< ><> Nathele
  19. I think the Holy Spirit is leading you. Personally, I wouldn't go. Yes, it absolutely sounds New Age. Even though it is a Baptist church, don't trust it. New Age is creeping in everywhere disguised as something good. <>< ><> Nathele
  20. Don't dwell on what you "gave up", dwell on what you have gained! I'm sure you don't feel as if you have gained anything right now, but whenever we turn away from sin we have taken a step toward Jesus. Here is a small illustration. I have a weight problem and when I diet I have to set my mind on not eating Snickers and potato chips. The first week after I give them up is awful - my mind is continually on how much I have given up. Well, after a while I don't have those cravings any more. I eat healthier and I feel better. That is what you need to understand. Replace that old urge to sin with God's word - feast on it! Pretty soon you will crave only what is good for you. You also might consider putting on some Christian worship music rather than the Blues. <>< ><> Nathele
  21. The Greek word is agape meaning affection, good will, love, benevolence, brotherly love <>< ><> Nathele
  22. If you look in chapter 5 of Genesis you will see that the people lived long lives before the Flood. We are given the names of the lineage that is important to the point that God is making....following a line from the Fall through to Messiah. And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. Genesis 5:4-5 We don't know how many sons and daughters Adam had, but while he was having sons and daughters, his sons and daughters were also having children. So the population grew quickly. We think of marrying a sister or brother as something against God's will, and today it is. In those days, though, they had no choice and also God did not speak against it until He gave Moses the Law. <>< ><> Nathele
  23. I assume you are talking about Christians. When a Christian dies their soul goes to God. The non-Christian is not so blessed. Their souls are awaiting judgment. I believe the word of God and in the saving grace through Jesus the Christ. <>< ><> Nathele
  24. I am sorry that I jumped to the wrong conclusion. Please accept my apology. This is a good lesson, though. God's word tells us to stay away from all appearance of evil for this very reason. You aren't really doing anything against God's will, but to outsiders it looks wrong. <>< ><> Nathele
  25. You have some difficult decissions, but always measure them by the Bible. First, you want to be a youth minister. This is a terrible example to be giving to the youth you will be ministering to. How can you lead them in the way of the Lord when you are not in a right relationship with Him? If your boyfriend and his family are Christians, but allowing you to live sinfully, then I wonder what kind of relationship they have with our Lord. Why aren't you married to your boyfriend? If yo can afford to live together, why can't you be married? A husband is the spiritual leader of the family and he is to love his wife as Christ loved the Church. Christ gave His life for us to save us from our sins, but your boyfriend is allowing you to sin. God still loves you, but you are not in a right fellowship with Him. Is the only choice you have for roommates men? If you need to split rent 3 ways, then look for a couple of girls who need to share rent. Why not live in a dorm? There are alternatives. It is not wrong to share your faith with others. How can someone come to know Jesus if they aren't told about Him? Again, though, your witness is compromised because you are living in sin. Life is full of choices and we don't always make the right ones. I have made some very bad choices in my life and if I could go back and change them I would. But when I repented and got right with God I was at peace. Put God first in your life and align yourself with His will. <>< ><> Nathele
