The American consumer, bless him, has told the oil companies he can pay it. So he will. I can only afford to pay it if I have fuel. In other words, no one can afford to NOT have fuel. It isn't that funny that our government feels as if they can decide a dress code. Where does this stuff end? This would be a state issue, even a county or city issue. It's a bit different. You're most definitely right. But it is still government.

This is nieve and you don't even know it. Governments have taken over their peoples for milleniums. The Constitution was specifically written to protect "we the people" from OUR government. Many of these Constitutional rights are being amended or violated with other orders.

Every business right now is affected by inflation and gas prices. All products are shipped. Restraunts are dealing with the price of wheat and corn doubling in the past year, let alone produce. The expense has to be passed on to the customer (at least eventually).

We are seeing a reflection of inflation. Like looking in a mirror. Gas prices are a reflection of the dollar going down in value. Oil hasn't changed in price for 50 years in comparison to gold. This is what happens every time rates are cut and money is injected into a fiat economy. We are seeing our dollar being debased.
