Let's simplify this: You have children, do you deny them anything that they need? No. You provide for all their needs. Yet one day, while all their needs are met, they go ahead and stick their little hands into the cookie jar even after you have told them no. As the cookies were not theirs to begin with, nor were they something in which they were given, I do not see the tithe as being applicable here. Yes, they took that which was not theirs to take. Just my 2 cents.

It depends upon where the sample was taken as well. Such polls may be skewed if one targets a certain demographic area as opposed to another. It is possible for 1000 to be a fair representation to some degree. There again, it really depends upon where and how the poll was taken. In looking over the results and all the charts shown upon the page. This survey/poll appears to be a fairly good representation. At the very least, it appears to have been done in straightforward manner. I for one appreciate the way they broke down the stats at the end. I am not a big fan of polls and surveys, perhaps I am jaded, for I have seen some misleading ones. It is possible to poll 1,000,000 [or more] from all across the country and produce skewed results by targeting a certain audience/demographic profile.

Hasn't the passage from Leviticus been dealt with already? Yes it has IMO. If I am understanding OneLight correctly, he is not asking about that passage but rather asking if there is a 'positive' passage.
