  1. I do not hold to a pretrib rapture of anykind, not saying you or anyone else has to agree with that. As I said we have been in a tribulation since Adam was kicked out of the garden, the great tribulation spoken of is not the wrath of God, the bowl judgments are His wrath. During the great trib we all will be here, this is the time of Gods refinement of His bride, casting off those who are lukewarm, those who truly have not given themselves fully over to His will. But to think that we all are going to escape this great tribulation is not in scripture, no matter how many times someone can turn and use scriptures to find some escape avenue. Just as God lifted up Noah, or how God kept those safe in Goshen as the angel of death passed over, God will protect us during the time the angels are pouring out the judgments on those who have not bowed to Him. shalom, Mizz
  2. I've never seen a scripture supporting this and I don't believe it. Does Rev. 6:16,17 not explain this? The context of these verses are that its men who are saying these things and not that the wrath of God has come yet. These earthly kings see destruction happening, they see the falling of the economy, the way of life they so love, the see God's judgments coming and want to be hidden from it, not that the great trib nor the wrath has come yet. We have been in constant tribulations since Messiah rose to the heavenly throne room, and we are told over and over again many things must happen and then the 'great tribulation' will come and with it it refines Gods chosen, then when Gods chosen are then protected from His wrath, the bowl judgements will occur on those not sealed each one of those going through the bowl judgments will have one final chance to choose life or death. shalom, Mizz
  3. Much of anything in the Psalms, and the one verse that is stuck in my being is Pas. 46:10-11, "Desist, and learn that I am God, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth." ADONAI-Tzva'ot is with us, our fortress, the God of Ya'akov. And Isa. 46:8-10, Remember this, and stand firm. Keep it in mind, you rebels. "Remember things that happened at the beginning, long ago - that I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. At the beginning I announce the end, proclaim in advance things not yet done; and I say that my plan will hold, I will do everything I please to do." No matter how big, small, smart or whatever, knowing God is control, that its His plan and not mine puts it into prospective for me. shalom, Mizz
  4. Moving this to another forum.
  5. Thats a tough one! If it was your dads wishes that all of you share equally then I would take what I have learned to her and to a lawyer at the same time and let her explain herself. If at all possible mediation would work wonders! at least I pray that it would. My heart wants to scream with the utter saddness that your father passed without his children near him, to me thats a crime of the heart. Its hard to be put into such situations. What does your brother have to say about this information? What does your lawyers have to say? I would be tempted to just tell my sister that I had some info that would put her in a terrible light with the authorities and see what that might bring about, and if shes still insisting its all hers then I would bring it to the attention of the court. In the long run we all know situations like this never end well at all. Keep praying about it all and I pray that God sends you His shalom and directs your steps. shalom, Mizz
  6. Yes I tend to agree with your assessment, most are too used to the 'asking' and not the 'listening' part. Its not unpolite to say hi and keep walking or hi and lets catch up later. The 'art' of listening has been lost by many today as everyone tries to keep pace with busy lives. But hey its not just people not listening to people though sometimes we also fail to listen to His voice. You are so right we should always mean what we say, do as we say and give our fellow men the common curtesy to listen to what they are saying also. Good post! shalom, Mizz
  7. Nope, they always had that hatred in their hearts. He, and others, are just stoking it. I agree with that! These protests/riots are the same as we have seen in Greece, London, Ireland and elsewhere and there seems to be the unions influence at its core also. I have a friend visiting from Ireland who gave us all an earfull about some of the things happening out that way and before I even asked her about the unions involvement she told us all how union reps had been in the little villages offering travel and lodging pay to go to the cities to protest. To me its the coming together of the last attempts by satan before Messiah returns. Anti-semitism is only going to get worse and it will bring in all the christians who stand in support of the tiny nation of Israel and to all those who worship and obey His ways. shalom, Mizz
  8. Prove it, line upon line and precept upon precept, please. Does God bring the Great Tribulation or does He merely allow it? Re 12:12 ¶ Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Is the Great Tribulation the same as Gods Wrath? I'm not challenging you. I'm asking for clarity. Peace, Dave Can't prove that because scripture doesn't suggest it. We have been in 'a tribulation' since Adam was thrown out of the garden and most assurdedly since He rose to the heavenly throne room. The 'great tribulation' is a refining of Gods people, we are to be refined by fire, tested and brought though those trials by our faith in Him and by the Spirit. The wrath of God is during the bowl judgments which are brought on those who have yet to confess Him and until the last bowl has been poured out there is still time for those unprotected by His Spirit to confess and bow to Him. shalom, Mizz
  9. There were no posts from this thread deleted as far as I can tell churchmouse2. And you can find the TOS next to the button that says 'view new content'. shalom, Mizzdy
  10. It would have been great if those at your church could have reached out and found out why you were not coming to church. Yet communication does go both ways. I know some of us get admonished if we miss fellowship due to illness and we don't contact the pastor for at least prayer for whatever is wrong. If this church is where you really wish to fellowship with then maybe you could call, send a letter or email explaining why you have been absent and ask for prayers for a change of work days so you can at least attend once a week. I do agree though in part with OldShep, elders and deacons do have the job of keeping an eye of the flock but they are not mind readers either and also have lives that they need to live also. If you have been absent from church for 2 years then its possible they saw your name on the membership list, saw you were gone and figured they would contact you to see if you were still interested in attending that church. Please take this to Him, ask Him for direction in your life, and if you are still interested in going to this church go and talk to the pastor or someone and let them know your situation. shalom, Mizz
  11. Hey mizzdy, Do you think then that Noah being the 8th is about new beginning then? I am very interested in the way God uses numbers in the Bible & also the cycles that God has set in place. In how the feasts fall at specific times & especially the Year of Jubilee which came every 50th year.( I have lots of questions about that & would like to find teaching about how that ties with the end times &/or coming of Christ, if you know of any) Hi Goldust, I'm short on time this weekend but I do believe its a 'type or shadow' of whats to come. Just like Moses was in some ways can be seen as a 'type or shadow' of the Messiah, so is the numbers and other things we read in scriptures. I personally believe that ever story, all those things written are written to show us something, its just up to us to dig for the buried treasures. The feast reveal and point to Gods plan, Yom Kippur always starts the Jubliee year also. I have a short series of articles relating to what they all mean etc. send me a pm reminding me to send them to you. Gotta run now! shalom, Mizz
  12. That is something that I just don't worry about. We are told when we confess His name, confess our sins and return to Him we are saved. Its the things between then and when He returns that show our fruit, our walk should reflect the changes He is making within us, we should be showing our growth and maturity in Him. True some are slower to reflect those changes not that it means they are any 'less saved' but that we all learn and grow at different rates. shalom, Mizz
  13. The number 8 represents a sign of renewal, a new beginning. At the end of Sukkot when Messiah returns a 're'newed age will begin, a life with Messiah ruling, even in music there are seven notes and the eight starts a new octave, God set everything on cycles, theres a seven day cycle which starts anew on the 'eight day'. There are huge meanings in every single thing we read in the bible even the names point to something He wants us to recognize and understand. If we look at Gods timing of creation and the idea of six thousand years of mans rule then a thousand of Gods, that age to come after the millennial reign we go to eight thousands year and a brand new age. Its all really interesting when you dig into it all. shalom, Mizz
  14. I thought this is a well thought out and written article. There may be some who disagree with the writers thoughts but I do believe he has hit it on the head. shalom, Mizz
  15. Haven't the protests around the world been in a similar vein? A lot of angry kids, people with lots of signs demanding a lot of the same things. I heard somewhere that some of the protesters are being paid and had really no idea what they were there about, maybe that was a different protest. And that makes me wonder if some of these guys are getting paid who is paying them, the unions perhaps, have to go look into that. shalom, Mizz
  16. Yep, the un-united nations are right! and the Palestinian extremists? Oh, sorry, they are "freedom fighters" Thats basically my first thoughts right there. I guess those palestinians must be labeled at freedom fighters cuz they are always doing extreme such as attacking and killing innocent babies and children while they sleep or throwing rocks at moving cars causing accidents and death. Or...... The world at large and almost all the leaders of the world have sand in their ears and cataracts on the eyes because they certainly cannot see or hear the real truth of the world.
  17. I am noticing some of the gluten free foods have the label on them, breads, crackers, etc. Could become a problem for me and others.
  18. I do agree its over abused yet we are to judge one another in love, and we are to use His laws, statues and judgments as the rules to judge by, that is what God is going to use to judge us. People tend to mix secular reasoning in with His reasoning also. I can say with great certainty that God does not like sin, despises it in any form, and I can say that He does condemn homosexuality just as much as He does adultery. We can tell a person who is doing either they are sinning but we are not to condemn the person, we do not pass judgment as God will do, we point out the error of their ways show them in scriptures and then let God handle the rest. shalom, Mizz
  19. Yes for a specific reason but how can we compare that to this man? I don't think we can at all. God is not using obama to clear out His land for His called out ones is He? I cannot recall where God sent an army to kill one man for any reason but I could have missed it somewhere. I do not think God was the one behind killing this man as it was suggested. Sometimes And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause? And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner. And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him. And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. 1 Samuel 17:28-37 It Sure And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. 1 Kings 21:23 Seems So And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window. And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master? And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs. And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot. And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter. And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands. Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel: And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel. 2 Kings 9:30-37 PS: Don't Mess With Him See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. Deuteronomy 32:39-40 Yet God did not send an army to specifically kill one man. In the story God is addressing something specific and within the land and God did not send an army out after anyone but sent a prophet to proclaim His word and judgment. And God sent David in His service, a young man, the army itself couldn't do what one young man did. God certainly has sent His armies out to kill many but we must understand that we are not in the land, not one nation follows His laws so why would God send an army to kill one turncoat American. I just can't see it myself but I don't know the mind of God nor all that He does. shalom, Mizz
  20. Good article Isaiah.
  21. I don't know, there is just a lot of propheteering among some believers with regard to this moment of silence and the beginning of the end. The OP was a bit cryptic so I was just trying to figure out(guessing) the reference. Unfortunately I see they haven't returned to clarify any thing yet. And those people just may be right about that. It still doesn't show that there was a two week silence in Sept. where God did something different or that this half hour shows a two week time span though and I would be pretty interested in what was meant in the OP too. shalom, Mizz
  22. Could it be Luke 12:48 your looking for? But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
  24. If this guy renounced his citizenship would that still make him an American and if so then he would have needed to be tried in absentia and then convicted. If he renounced it that would make him an enemy of the nation wouldn't it? To the comment about it being Gods will that allowed this man dead, I wonder about that period. In the story of Jonah we read how mad he was that God spared Niniveh yet what we get out of the story is that God does not wish death on anyone but wants all to come to know Him. I do not know the mind of God, cannot tell anyone if He wants specific people dead (I personally do not think its the case at all) but if thats the case then why allow other more evil minded people to live and do their terrible deeds yet decide that this one man needed to die. shalom, Mizz
  25. Ok I'll bite, what did God do new that the church didn't tell you about? And please reference this newness with scriptures, because God says He does nothing unless He first tells us about it through His prophets. shalom, Mizz Hi Mizz, Have I made you mad at me yet? Sorry if I did. I think I made a few upset with my initial posts... Umm.. Anyway I was under the impression that even Prophets weren't constantly in contact with God. Just wonder what you thought. Seems a little strange to think anyone would be in such constant contact they'd know God was silent for two weeks. Even stranger to think they would think this as being common knowledge. Hmm I suspect maybe... Revelation 8 1 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. An end of the world message? Someone figured out there's a time difference between Heaven and earth. So half an hour in Heaven equal 2 weeks earth time? I don't know. I can not understand Revelations. I read it and read lot of theories about it. None of it makes sense. I suppose we don't know this is a Revelation reference warning post yet, so I'll just shut up for now. No didn't make me mad at all. Theres not a reference to God being silent for two weeks in Sept. and that was what was asking after. The Rev. verse says half an hour not two weeks, where did you get the idea or reference that God was silent for two weeks and did something new? And where that idea of an half an hour equals 2 weeks is not only not biblical but thats a big guess to boot! God's 'heaven' and what we see as the heavens are a much different place. Not being a believer theres no way you could understand or begin to comphrend the book of Revelation, heck many who claim to understand it don't either but you would have to actually believe in God and His Son in order to understand any of it besides the idea its the end times. As for the prophets we see they were in constant contact with God as He was giving them instructions, when they were in need of help, we read all through the scriptures how God communicated with His called out ones. God tells us through Isaiah and others that He does nothing first without telling us what He is going to do, we read all about those things in their writings, Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets. Amos 3:7 shalom, Mizz
