WN: U.N. Security Council to send Palestinian state bid to admissions
mizzdy replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in World News
Gee just in time for Yom Teruah it seems! Could the arabs have planned it any better, oh wait could have planned it on Yom Kippur... -
If there is one thing I know is that the heart is completely useless when it comes to pursue the truth. Actually, emotions are very dangerous when it comes to estabilish facts. What kind of evidence do you have to support this claim? I cannot help to sense a certain degree of prejudice in your sentence. That is because you don't know me and probably have seen this in the world. I can assure you that I have absolutely no prejudice in this matter. Is it not the mother who mothers by nature? It is a blessing to have mothers. The father is the head of the household, supplying the family with what it needs. The evidence is in history itself, for those who do not take scripture to heart, and to those whoi do: Ephesians 5:22-33 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. No comment. At least we have an advantage. The 10 commandments do not address the coveting of other women husbands Just joking,... Sort of They do though, "Do not covet your neighbor's house; do not covet your neighbor's wife, his male or female slave, his ox, his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor." God put this in generalities and I really think that He was addressing men and woman. And He then went ahead and had Moses write down the ways and means of keeping those commandments.

How did it cost him his life? He died in the hospital, he had stomach cancer. He decided to move the castle after he was beaten up but lived at least 3 years after that, I think thats how long it took him to move it all. One day there was a sign on the door stating 'Gone to the hospital' and he never came home. It is one of those most interesting things, many think they know but really don't. Mizz, stomach cancer is rather uncommon in the US. While it is possible that it's just random, I think it more likely that he over exposed himself to the forces he used to move the stones during his last move and it messed with his body. If thats true OO, then my family is rather unusual as are the umpteen hundreds that I know who have it now. I know that from the mid-40's to the mid-60's we had at least one member of either my dads side or moms side die with it and I know that after we moved from the family many more died of some kind of cancer. My father had stomach and bladder cancer and my grandmother died of it, so not so rare. Whatever he used to move those stones could have caused the cancer, I do know the man was gravely ill once before and proclaimed to have been cured by magnets, he never said where the those came from though, which is interesting in itself.

Love to. In essence he said that some men found it hard to view God as having loving thoughts/feelings toward them because of the physical/verbal abuse, neglect, degradation, abandonment etc they received from their earthly dads. He didn't preach a sermon about it but mentioned it during a sermon. It had never occured to me that this was a reality with some men - Christian or not. The hurt associated with their earthly fathers has scarred some men to the point where they have put up re-inforced steel barriers around their heart. For self preservation really from future hurts. Women on the other hand are more likely to be readily accepting of God as afather figure, husband etc...whether this is because of the easy/natural state of "man/woman" or what but it seems we are more accepting of the notion. I can see what he meant, and find that its also true for woman, I don't completely agree that woman are more readily accepting of God. Woman who have not had the 'ideal' father also do not learn to trust and rely on a 'father' figure any easier than men do. If the foundation one was and is raised isn't strong theres always going to be some kind of relational problems, at least thats what I have witnessed through out my life. The people around the child is important, I had a terrible dad even though he was a good provider, my mom was the best she could be in some trying circumstances and always tried to maintain a good foundation. Yet despite my moms trying the foundation was rocky so in turn I never learned from that structure how a right relationship worked so when it came to relying and trusting in God I did just the opposite. But I do agree that some woman who crave a stable relationship may have a much better time learning to rely on God. shalom, Mizz

We are hoping to go today with our congregation, just have to wait to see if my health will allow it. One of our congregants is named Chet Gallager, he was a cop who went against his commander and came out in the late 80's to protest in his uniform and on his police issued motorcycle, he has entered an initiative here that would put a stop to all abortions as he has done in other states, he is getting pretty well known it seems. We need to pray steadfastly that this is indeed done all over our country!

The innocent victims of Palestinian terrorism

If this is the same little girl that was reported on she was hit by a rock, the favorite weapon of those fools. -
I saw an NKJV study bible the other day that was done by John MacArthur, would that be a good one? I would buy one that doesn't have someone elses studies in them myself and thats what MacArthurs is his studies already printed in it, I have the Nelson NKJ Study Bible which allowed me to write in it myself what I have studied.

Palestinians warn Obama not to stand in way of statehood

I really dont think God is going to allow Israel or anyone else to use nukes on one another but that He will intervein before it comes to that. Theres coming a war for sure it may not be this year but its coming and there will be too much innocent blood shed, too much bloodshed period. Sometimes I look at Abbas and think of the pharoah and how God gave them over to their own hearts desire and sometimes I look at Abbas and think I wonder if he even knows exactly what he is doing or why he is pushing this so hard right now. I just kinda believe its the hand of God using Abbas to fulfill His plan just as God uses men throughout all of history to fufill His plans. And your right what happens in Jerusalem affects the entire world in one way or another and most do not even realize it. shalom, Mizz -
The NKJV is easy to read Shiloh it leaves out all the thees and thous and fancy language. I use the NKJ as a study bible and the CJB for reading and for some clarity also, I also have a variety of bibles, NIV though is not one of them.

Thank you for your reaction Mizzdy. Do I understand you correct that you think it is the Messiah? And how do you think that it fit with 10:13 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me: and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Do you think that God needs help? That it is possible that the prince of Persian could withstood God? No God doesn't need help. If this is Gabriel would it make more sense in our minds? perhaps so lets look to see if there might be any clues to see if this might be Gabriel. Aside from the idea that the description given in Rev. and this looking so much like the Messiah we read this in verse 12 , Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before your God, your words were heard, and I am come for your words. It does seem to read that an angel was sent out to give meaning to Daniels vision but that the person was delayed by the prince of persia. Daniel was told to stand up, something we read also told to others who have had angels sent to them. Gabriel is the one whom Gods sends out to give message and give the meanings of visions. Theres debate on both sides, personally I have always thought this was Gabriel, the description of the man correlates in many ways with the vision of Rev. but unless someone can show something else I haven't heard or read I still think it is Gabriel being spoken of here.

Most think this is the Messiah. The Angel of the Lord, if that is also the Messiah, some say it is some no, but we see Him wrestling with Jacob and persevering till the end. We will never understand the ways of God, many question why Yeshua needed to wrestle or fight with anyone, after all He is God. But we see Him also as dying on the cross, as being tempted by the advesary and still being God, all for our benefit to show how we also can overcome. Not sure if that answered anything for you.

They experienced the first three, God had Moses/Aaron stretch forth the rod and thoughout the land of Egypt. But the 4th one states that it was given to Phraroah and his servants and the houses of Egypt. The boils and locust seem to happen to the whole land, the rest didn't effect them unless they were either out of the land of Goshen or not protected by the blood on the door posts. But that is off memory right now and may be off on the boils. shalom, Mizz

The reason God sought to kill Moses was because he did not circumcise his son. The feast of God are all within argicultural settings which also are shadows of things to come, the harvet of the wheat and tares, etc. In Gods feasts we see the death, burial and resurrection, as well as the coming of the Messiah that separates the wicked from the righteous. Just as God brought those before us through trials and tribualtions He will bring His bride through the refining fire and purge her of all transgression and give her a clean white robe. Yes God allows us to go through these things so we can learn to rely upon Him in all circumstances both good and bad.

Its also part of American Indian lore, they used it as a directional finder telling those travelling on the same road which direction they went.

How important is theology for evangelists?
mizzdy replied to ~candice~'s topic in General Discussion
At the end of the day what does Gods word say about it all? Luke 21:14-15 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. 1 Cor. 2:4-5 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. Proverbs 2:5-6 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; I agree with this Shiloh, it is the Holy Spirit who does all these things for us. And for the record I know more teachers who have gone through a four year bible college and all they seem to be able to do is parrot what their teachers taught them, I know only a few who told me they had to let go of a lot of what they were taught because after years of teaching it found it wasn't really biblical. When we become His we become indwelled with His Spirit who is supposed to write upon our hearts His Torah, His ways and it is only through that Spirit we are able to speak Gods truths. If we relied on our understanding of theologies, (and ya got to admit theres a lot of them out there and not all correct in their understandings,) then this world is hopeless, lost simply because we are relying on our own, one reason God gives His Spirit like He did to Moses, Isaiah, the seventy that was sent out, was so we can witness Him to the world. Without His Spirit we are dead inside and unable to share even a bit of light that belongs to Him. Our teacher should be the Spirit, our guide the bible, every single person who wants to be an evangelist needs to be grounded in scripture of that we all agree I would think. For me I don't think going to school to learn 'theology' is necessary unless one is going to become a teacher, specialize in one thing or another. I do believe wholeheartily that God can and does teach us through His Spirit and as we come together as a body, in groups, we learn from one another also. shalom, Mizz -
That's because, IMO, the RCC is more interested in it's image and wealth than in the rights of individuals. Those at the top knew full well what was going on and they covered it up. It's disgusting. It is interesting how willing some Christians are to believe the secular media when it attacks the Catholic Church. It's sad. You do realize that the reason the secular world hates the Church is because of it's stand for Christian values, right? Secular news? So you deny that catholic priests have done horrible atrocities to young boys and others? That there is no pediphiles amongst the catholic priests? And where oh where would anyone have heard of it if it had not been for the 'secular' news? Most definately not from the catholic church which tried for decades and decades to keep it all under wraps. Its satan that hates those who know the true God and Messiah and its through him and mans inability to walk in Gods ways that make things nasty in this world. And the secular world doesn't have to do a thing to show the rcc has done wrong that is a matter of record both within the rcc and out of it. It took strong caring and courages young boys and their parents to show what the rcc had done to them and when the rcc would not do what was right those people took their accusations to the law of the land and still priests were protected by the rcc, shamefully so. Please quit putting the rcc up on some sort of pedastal its getting really old and frankly that is the only thing you seem to be able to post about is your insistance that the rcc is the only true church with the only ones saved and know Him. utter nonsense.
