We are not told what laws the angels had except if you believe some of them sinned against God by taking human woman. Its my opinion that God held the angels to a higher standard than man, they were to help Him with with keeping the earth and watching over mankind, they failed miserably. God put those responsible in prison for breaking those commandments. I am pretty glad I don't know what their 'Torah' was and is, His Torah for my life is what matters. Thing that always amazes me though in the end we will know what to judge them by, so perhaps theirs goes as such Love God above all else, keep all my Torah, love mankind as you love Me, always do what is in the best interests for my creation.... kinda stuff?

Will the righteous suffer the wrath of God against a nation?
mizzdy replied to nebula's topic in General Discussion
Right - after I shut down my computer last night, I recalled that I forgot to mention something else the pastor said. (Oh well, it was very late, and my body was trying to shut down.) Yes, there were righteous who suffered along with everyone else and even put to death. But when looking at the history of martyrs stories do emerge of how the Lord is with them through the suffering and through the death. A good example is the one man (I forget the name and circumstances) who was to be burned at the stake. The night before, he put his hand in a candle flame, trying to prepare himself for what was coming. But he could not endure the pain, and he cried out to God how he could endure what was coming the next day. The Lord spoke to his heart, "Today you have living grace, for today you are meant to live. Tomorrow, you will have dying grace." (The quote is probably not exact, but it was something like that.) The testimony given of those watching his death express that the man showed no evidence of pain as he flesh was being being burned and consumed. Does this answer your concern? Ever notice how when God told Noah to get all those animals and themselves into the ark they sat there another seven days before the waters came. Noah and his family endure much ridicule and suffering, I am thinking they groaned and sighed for those seven days about what was to come of them and the people. -
I see its your opinion that there will be no earthly reign of the Messiah on David's throne? Or the vision given to Ezekiel in chpts 40-48 of the rebuilt temple which all will come to to receive His truth per Isa. 2 and elsewhere, or how Zech. 8 tells us 'I will return to Zion, And dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, The Mountain of the Lord of hosts, The Holy Mountain.' No false messiah here in these verses. shalom, Mizz Actually I was suggesting that it is the tribulation temple (which never gets destroyed btw) that is cleansed to be the millennial temple. That the sacrifices were during the tribulation under the false messiah affirming the old covenant until he reneges on the affirmation... there will be no sacrifices in the millennium when the true Messiah reigns on earth in Jerusalem enthroned in the Holiest place in the temple. John theres no need to post all the verses, at least for me. I am still not convinced the temple will be completely rebuilt by the time the Messiah comes again but I do certainly believe He will reign from one for the millennial reign. I also believe there will be sacrifices when during that time also, Ezekiel's chpts seem to make that clear, for what purpose has its debates, perhaps it will because there still will be sinful men on the earth. Eze. 43 shows the consecration of the altar and the sacrifices, or do you not see what Ezekiel is describing as being during the millennial reign? Theres going to be a whole lot of people deceived when the ac comes on the scene no doubts on that and of course theres going to be those living in the land that will go along with someone who comes along and allows them to rebuild and maintain Jerusalem. That does not mean they will see him as an anti-messiah since most who live there have not accepted Him in the first place so they will not know he is the 'ac'. They will only accept Him when they see Him coming in the air as the city is being fought over, they expect the conquering King.

I understand what your saying and in some ways I do agree with you, when we transgress His ways He does send punishments our way to straighten us out. The problem I have with saying this disease is a punishment from God is that this kind of judgment would come to the individual at the judgment seat of Yeshua. And would death from aids for those who unknowingly were infected be His judgment also, I personally do not think it is.

T.D. Jakes Blasts Graham for Questioning Obama's Faith
mizzdy replied to wyguy's topic in General Discussion
Absolutely! It is by the persons fruit that we know they are from Him, and its the only way we can ever know what or how to 'judge' another. The judgment of the heart and deeds are only judged by Him. If obama, or anyone else, professes they/he belongs to Yeshua then his words and actions will be seen producing the fruit of the Spirit. shalom, Mizz -
Kernen 'Squawks' Over School Assault on Capitalism
mizzdy replied to nebula's topic in General Discussion
Oh boy do I remember the arguments between my oldest brother and my dad about stuff like this and that was in the mid '60's. My dad trying to tell my brother it was all about subverting their minds with propaganda, unfortunately my brother was one of those who loved the underground movements and hooked up with them down in L.A. The kids that live across the street from me are becoming some of the worst kids I have seen in some time each day that 11 year old comes home screaming 'ha ha mom can't yell at me anymore I can do what I want and if you spank me or put me in time out my teacher says you'll get into trouble'. I kid you not and the mom is visibly shaken, clinching her fists and walks right back into the house!!!! That kid tries to uproot my plants and teases the dog terribly and he tried 'I'll just call the police on you and you'll get into trouble cuz I'm a kid' stuff on me until I called them myself!! lol can't say the kid is any better but when I tell he to shut up over his potty mouth or whatever, he shuts it. Sad whats going on in our schools and homes. -
Texas Church invaded by pro Palestinian protestors
mizzdy replied to Matthitjah's topic in General Discussion
Would have been an a great time to break out in song, something like Lord God of Abraham by Paul Wilbur! Its only going to get worse as the days get closer. Even my neighbor who is 'mystically spiritual' has joined a church that is teaching the need to build up the palestinians! Pray the time is shorter than we know! shalom, Mizz -
Glenn Beck Announces Jerusalem Rally
mizzdy replied to nebula's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
I saw that show, he was asking that everyone do something good for others, basically he was saying we all should be doing good works and 'we' 'I' can do anything. I kept yelling at the tv saying its only through God but he just didn't hear me! Honestly I want it to be from God, the way it happened was 'coincidental' the mayor of Jerusalem was on the return flight and it bloomed from there. The idea of bringing all faiths together in Jerusalem, to me smacks of interfaith mingling, that kinda thing. And to do that in Jerusalem to boot, can't wait to see where the rally is going to be. The rally is to restore courage I think, I don't think anyone in Israel needs one to do that they are the most courages people in the world in my eyes. I find the timing interesting this year, with the possiblity of a UN resolution of a palestinian state or just having them declare a state in Sept., we have the comet that happens at the end of the Sept. as well as the start of the feast of Trumpets, I find it all to coincidental. And yes your right, God could and will use even Becks rally to further His plans. -
Glenn Beck Announces Jerusalem Rally
mizzdy replied to nebula's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
I heard this and waited for the 'I knew he was the anti-christ from the beginning' crowd to storm FB and other sites! This one I think is wrong, I love that people want to get together to bring about a recognition of Israel, uplift it in the eyes of the world, I just don't think this is right. God did not allow the bringing together of all the religious observances on His holy place, I am thinking we might actually be hearing/seeing? the trumpet blast this Yom Teruah and the count to His coming. -
Here's an article about Peter's vision that pretty informative. God did not give the dietary laws to 'Jews' but to Israel, He didn't give them these food restrictions because animals are bad but because they have specific jobs to do, pigs, clams, shrimp etc are bottom feeders they are the garbage disposals of the earth. That is why God said not to eat them. Now if the earth changed when He returned to heaven and all things are now edible for us then we would see a change in the way pigs, shrimp and the rest eat. The dietary laws have nothing to do with meat offered to idols. The content of Acts 10 is about Cornelius, he was a believer in Messiah, he was told to send men he sent three men to Peter. Peter had a vision three times and when Peter heard rise up and eat he became upset saying I have never eaten anything 'common' or unclean. God then explains to Peter what God cleansed we must not call common, God was saying that He made all men clean when they come to Him. It was the custom of the Jews not to eat with gentiles they felt they were unclean and common God was telling Peter that is no longer the case, if a gentile comes to faith in God and His Messiah they are now clean. Certainly there is a huge debate on this and every one must come to their own understandings of what God is teaching us. shalom, Mizz

He actually did say that. Matthew 19 21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." No, placing faith in Christ is not the same as following Him. The latter is known as sanctification, the former as justification. The result of justification is salvation, which can never be lost due to eternal life being eternal. The result of the sanctification is heavenly rewards, which can be earned and lost by good and evil works. A good article on rewards which goes into more depth than I have is http://www.faithalon...1b/Rewards.html . I would just like to point out that the New Testament promises us rewards based upon our good works. Salvation, however, is not a reward but a free gift. If someone comes to me and says come this way and get out of harms way, I have a choice either to put my trust in that person and follow them to safety or distrust them and walk in my own understanding. Faith is strong trust, trust that God will do as He promises and if He is going to do that for me I am going to completely trust Him and follow Him. Following follows trust, they go hand in hand or should. Or trust is incomplete, trust is followed by an action. No one here is debating salvation is a free gift, it is nothing we can do earns it it is given freely, rewards or blessings come from following His ways, they come from being in convenant with Him. Due. 30:1, 15, tells us that God sets up cursings and blessing for those who obey or disobey, Matt. 6:1 Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. When we believe, confess and return to Him He gives us the ablities to walk in His Torah we should not sound our own horn in what we do, we serve Him and His children and in that we do not boast or our rewards are tarnished and unworthy. I used to be Messianic, growing up. However, Torah-obedience (which is NOT valid for gentiles, Acts 15) has nothing to do with either justification nor sanctification, so I believe it is outside the scope of this discussion. I will just say that I disagree with "the blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience" idea as being of the old covenant and having no place in the New Covenant. And no one is saying that we should boast about anything. The rewards that I mentioned are eternal rewards that will will be awarded by God on Judgement Day. No one will be sounding their own alarm nor boasting about it. It will be awarded by God. Not doing good works will not result in the termination of our salvation, but rather result in chastisement in this life and loss of rewards in the World to Come. Not going to get into yet another debate on Torah, just to be clear I see Torah is all of Gods instructions, from cover to cover if not why do we have all of those books and not just the NT? Where are Gods instructions for us to live a healthy happy life if not in Torah? And what is Gods Spirit writing on your heart if its not His laws? But I digress, sorry its just that you sound just an awful like another Byron i knew, same arguments, same kinda words a bit polished here and there but strangly like a Byron I knew. There is no old and new anything but a continuation and building upon each covenant God made with men. And I never said there was a division in the OT or the NT I took the Due. passage as showing where God said curses and blessings come from, we could also call them rewards and discipline.

Wait - are you saying that Jesus told the man a lie? No, in order to earn Salvation one must be perfect. That is how Christ was able to earn salvation for us. He was perfect, so His Perfection covers our imperfections. What this man was asking is how does one earn salvation? So Christ told him. He didn't ask if there was another way than trying to do it on his own. If he had, I am sure Christ would have told him, "Put your faith in me." But this young man gave up trying after he realized that he couldn't do it on his own. How many people do the same today? Give up on Salvation when they realize that they can't be perfect? Far too many, in my humble opinion. Well for heaven sakes! none of us will ever have salvation then! Perfect? perfect? I mean really? Yeshua was perfect because He was God in the flesh, He was perfect because He kept Torah perfectly because He is the Word in the flesh. I am so grateful that He accepts me with all my flaws, I am grateful that He accepts me as I struggle to walk in His perfect ways, I am grateful that I can strive to emulate Him in all ways but know that when I fail He is there to pick me back up and set me back on His path and forgive me when I confess my sins to Him. Repent, teshuvah, to change directions, make an about face and return to Him. We forsake our own way of doing things and return to His ways and follow them and yes knowing we cannot do anything apart from Him and His instructions for our lives. And you are correct Byron many do read into scripture what they want to see and hear and not what He is saying to us. shalom, Mizz

The real question is .... will navy chaplains be required against their moral ethics, against their Christian values, to perform those ceremonies? I know of a young man who went into the service in order to become a chaplain and has completed his trainings, he says yes they must do as commanded and being in the service as a chaplain doesn't give them their personal freedoms of opinion or choices to go against them own moral ethics. This young man is now in the process of leaving the military because of these very situation. Honestly though all I have to go by on this is this young mans point of view and really wonder what would happen to one if they refused to perform these wedding.

and then what? They will be full of "love for their neighbors".... all of a sudden? :24: Ya just like hamas said after they have a palestinian state will they then 'consider' accepting Israel, to me that just is saying that after hamas get their state they will push Israel out of it. Don't think anyones going to see that 'love for their neighbors' from any of them.

Very clear, & so is the Lords Word. First we see that sin is the breaking of God's ETERNAL LAW. (not the book of Moses thing!) 1John 3:4 is still there! OK: Who that is Born Again with the (Christ's 2 Cor. 3:3's) Eternal Letter Epistle of Christ [iN THEIR HEART] would think to settle for a balancing [act]? He say's that [iF] ye [LOVE ME] KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS'. The only hint to an balancing act is that of from baby into MATURITY! Phil. 4:13 + 2 Cor. 12:9 is all the supplied power for this, and is also freely provided for one to be safe to save if one so chooses/u]! Nah. 1:9 And LOVE?? Agape Love [iS A 'MATURED' MORAL PRINCIPLE]. If one is Born Again & wants a good read on the question's [final] merit, they can read Numbers 16. And take special note of verses 2 & 3. It is NO Different today (Eccl. 3:15) or how else did these of Rev. 17:1-5 ones come about? + the Matt. 7:21-22 ones which were at one time quite the sincere one! Unless any think that these 'many wonderful works' mentioned can be done 'outside' of Christ? (Which 'i' cannot buy!) --Elijah Where did Moses get those laws? And where can I find eternal laws apart from where God spoke them Himself and then had Moses write them down? 1 John 3:4 tells us whoever commits sin is full of lawlessness, where do you find out what sin is but through the commandments, correct? We can only do these things through His Spirit not by our own period. All of His laws are based in love.

Do Christians and Jews worship the same God?
mizzdy replied to Byron A's topic in General Discussion
That is sad but I do share your thoughts here. So many ask if the Jews will even know the Messiah, thats also true of some christians, they will reject Him when He comes again considering that He will bring with Him the same rules and laws that many reject are for us today. I onced asked a bunch of people what will the millennial kingdoms laws look like and none suggested that He brings laws with Him for the saints, most of what I got was some idea of living in love. shalom, Mizz what rules and laws will He bring? Since I see the millennial reign as physical, the temple with priests and sacrifices added in, I believe He will bring with Him His instructions, bascially the same set of rules that He gave in the first place. If theres a temple with priests it kinda leans towards the same basic set of laws that He established in the first place. There will be those changed and unchanged when He returns yet Hebrews and Jeremiah tell us that the laws will be written on our hearts, just as they are being written on our hearts now. Why would He bring another set of laws? The difference this time around man is not going to be in charge He will be ruling and satan will be out of the way no more excuses one either obeys and follows or one dies in the second death. Thats how I see happening. shalom, Mizz so you think that even though the old testament laws were types and shadows, we're going to do them again? what will they be types and shadows for this time? or is it the ten commandments you are speaking of? will we really have to be told not to kill or covet? i don't really think that will be the case. For those changed at His coming all His Torah will be written on their hearts, that is what we are told correct? What are His laws? thats something you need to decide for yourself. I believe the 10 sum up all the others and the two sum up them all, so I follow all the commands meant for me. But there will be people living on the earth that will need instruction, will need His Torah to live by and that is what people will be going to Zion for to learn the whole truth and how to live righteously in it. If there are sacrifices there are laws, where there is a King and ruler there are laws. And I do not think the laws were types and shadows so much as they are ways of living when we walk in His Torah we are walking in the light of His words, sacrifices are types and shadows, the Feast are all types and shadows, I still keep the Feasts and the Sabbath I do not think they were ever abolished but given a deeper and richer meaning by Him as He showed us how we can walk in them also with the guideance of the Spirit. shalom, Mizz -
Well I would never recommend reading Enoch or any other extra biblical anything to someone brand new to Him and scriptures! I read Enoch many years ago it helped, for me, to fill out some things. I don't spend big amounts of time in those books either and don't recommend that either but I do find it a good resource book just as I go to the LXX which many seem to dislike as much as Enoch, for reasons I cannot even fathom. A discerning eye and a good grounding in scriptures is needed before one should read Enoch or even some of the big name christian writers, they can give one some strange ideas about what God is really telling us in scriptures. Personally I do think Enoch has some good data in it for us to examine and since I do see the whole fallen angels in Gen. 6 as something that really happened it does seem Enoch had some insights into that is not written for us in scriptures, doesn't mean I take it as inspired and needs to be in scripture. shalom, Mizz

Twins! Usama-Osama, twins! and we actually got 'Osama' years ago but needed to take out the more evil twin to complete the mission. Thought they had us fooled there didn't they!

I do kinda agree with you but Eddies book is free online, Chumney really does drive me nuts sometimes and he is still stuck in some real mainstream kinda things I've even heard him talk of a pre-trib rapture but on some things he does get them right. Batya Woottens book is a good one also and recommend that also. I have been thinking along the same lines as you are about Yom Teruah. What do you think of Mark Blitzs series on the feasts and how the 'heavenly signs' line up for the feasts throughout the next few years? shalom, Mizz

They are hiding in thier homes afraid they will be next if they speak out,,, Same place we'll all be if we don't get some way to ride heard on out own government soon. Ain't that the truth if we are not all careful we will be riding the babylon/beast train before we all know it. These people are cowards hiding while a child is beat to death! I am really tired of hearing about 'moderate' muslims, a moderate christian is usually called lukewarm which we see Messiah said He would rather us not be. I see the muslims the same way one is either a firm believer or one is wishwashy that does what is told of them including ignoring the screams and cries of a child. -
Howdy! Batya Wootten has a wonderful book out that goes through the feasts you can google it if you want. Also I know that the NT says, feasts of the Jews but they are Gods feasts they belong to Him, He set them aside for His called out ones. The idioms are Hebrew idioms not Jewish ones also. Rosh HaShanah is a time of repentance, a time to reflect on ones sins and confess and teshuvah to return to Him that gives life. Its a period of 40 days that ends with Yom Kippur. This was taken from Eddie Chumneys book, you can read the whole book online also; Rosh HaShanah: Names, Themes, and Idioms 1.Teshuvah (repentance) 2.Rosh HaShanah (Head of the Year, Birthday of the World) 3.Yom Teruah (the Day of the Awakening Blast [Feast of Trumpets) 4.Yom HaDin (the Day of Judgment) 5.HaMelech (the Coronation of the Messiah) 6.Yom HaZikkaron (the Day of Remembrance or memorial) 7.The time of Jacob's (Ya'akov) trouble (the birthpangs of the Messiah, Chevlai shel Mashiach) 8.The opening of the gates 9. Kiddushin/Nesu'in (the wedding ceremony) 10.The resurrection of the dead (rapture, natza1) 11.The last trump (shofar) 12.Yom Hakeseh (the hidden day) link Yeshua fulfilled the spring feasts and He will fufill the fall ones when He returns. shalom, Mizz
