  1. Everyone has an opinion and thinks everyone should hear it? In more ways than people care to admit they want to be right even about things they do not understand or do not have a good handle on. And I guess some people might be glutons for punishment or the debate of it all. Who really knows what goes on in the minds of those who only wish to argue or debate subject? When it comes to prophecy we all need to be humble enough to know none of us has it all right, none of us anything over the other, some of us have some understandings and together we strive to put the pieces together, then again some just want to be the puzzle master. Just my opinions though. shalom, Mizz
  2. No we cannot make Him do anything that is not according to His plan. We can repent as a nation like Ninevah, but in light of the world today nations may turn back to Him but that would not stop His plans but perhaps the judgment on that nation may be less or escape the worst part of His judgment. But for the plans of God to be put off the world would need to teshuvah and come fully back under His authority. Personally or individually we may be on the fast track to punishment or God showing His hand or some type of jugdments in our lives and we can repent of that and He will stay His hand on it. God is patient with us but there is a limit to that also so if we know better but keep doing the same things over and over again He will intervene and show us where we are missing the mark. That is not forcing His hand at all and if we think we can do that in any way I would wonder what kind of understanding one has of Him to think they could do that in the first place. shalom, Mizz
  3. Location ... location ... location! Syria borders Israel, having the ability to attack them without showing their hand. If the attack came from Iran, the distance between the two would allow for preparation. Be it Syria, Lebanon, or Gaza, they all border Israel. If, and when Jordan joins their brothers, with Egypt rapidly coming under the power of Islam, the stage will then be set. Israel will be completely surrounded with all nations having one goal, to remove the Israeli nation. It's like watching a game of chess. It is isn't it!!! lol The attacks going to come through the Jordan Valley area of the Palestinians I think, I think the powers that be are going to use the palestinians first get them to attack and defeated as islam regroups and forms the caliphate and then I think the terribliness of the ac and beast will be ready to fulfill His plans. But its a crap shoot right now with all the fires burning in the middle east today. shalom, Mizz
  4. It would have made its way to hizbollah, hamas to start and yes used on Israel. And I think Syria is the one right now we should be watching, Bashar is more popular than any other leader despite the perhaps, out of town protesters?, that started the riots in Syria. I have read some reports that many are seeing Bashar as more powerful than Iran and since Iran and Turkey have been busy signing agreements of protection of Syria and other such things I have to wonder why not protecting Iran?
  5. That was totally great!
  6. I can't debate on what you say JohnDB, for other then the worshiping of Jesus on these Holidays, I know nothing else that may relate to them. I'm now thinking to myself out loud (On a computer ). If indeed what you say would be true, wouldn't it give Satan a fit if he had the influence on certain holidays and Christians turned the holidays around to worship the birth and Death/Resurrection of Jesus? After all, the Death and Resurrection of Jesus is one of the worst defeats Satan had to date and God isn't done with him yet. To turn a pagan holiday into a Christian Holiday, is like throwing salt into Satan's wounds. Not JohnDB but to take something that satan put his name on so to speak and then turning it into something that was not ordained by Him yet still put His name on it is not doing a good thing for or to God. I do not think personally that God condones our mixing up of holy and profane things. Its not throwing salt on satans wounds but on His I would think, He sets aside His days and we want to take satans days and put His name on them?
  7. Hey my body is being taken over by foreign invaders (antibodies) and I need some aid too! I could call them rebels if that eases the debate so I can get some aid. And lets not forget about those who are being invaded with cancer cells too they need some money to help them! Seriously 25 mil! in non-military aid, hmm toilet paper? well theres plenty here that need toilet paper cuz one-ply just doesn't cut it! Of course of we have stopped giving other countries aid then heck there must be a surplus of aid money so it has to go to those outside of the US cuz we here are all doing so well that terrorist should get helped first. Sorry about being so cynical and sarcastic! Mizz
  8. In some translations the word is accomplished, I like the word better than finished. Finished makes it seem too complete done and over for good just like the word fulfill its not a 'finished' thing until everything this is done thats just how I see it though and Messiah is not yet 'finished' with us until the millennial reign is over. He accomplished all He set out to do, nailing the ordinances against us the penalty of death for sin, He made satan and croonies stand up and know their time is indeed short, He fulfilled those prophecies of His coming, the list just goes on. He paid the bill and all who are His no longer have to pay any debt at all for our sins unless we continue willfully exploiting His grace. shalom, Mizz
  9. Lets just stick with scriptures and not go into all that arguing about rabbinical passover debates. According to scriptures there are four Passovers, the actual 'passover' where God promised deliverance from the angel of death for all who believed including Egyptians etc., this was the family Passover. Then as they grew and the tabernacle gave way to the temple we see a congregational Passover where lamb was to be slained by the priests where people gathered in Jerusalem together as a congregation. After Yeshua's death and resurrection we see a personal Passover where all now have a permanate Passover sacrifice a permanate High Priest (change in the covenant) by paratking in this Passover we are saying we accept His sacrifice, we declare He is our sacrifice and are covered by His blood when the second death comes to this earth. And then we have the Kingdom Passover that Yeshua said He would not partake of until He comes again, we are to share among ourselves until He comes again, its when once again death passes over us as it takes away those who refuse to bow to Him, it is the wedding supper of the bride and lamb, His fourth cup is the cup of Praise to be sure! By the time Yeshua came on the scene the Passover is used for the whole set of feasts. Messiah seder came on the night before He was crucified, the lamb is slain between the hours of 3-9 on the 14th day of Abib and its cooked and eaten on the 15th day of Abib which is the beginning of ULB, the actual 'Passover' is one night. Then we have the first high Sabbath the first day of ULB and then the day after the first regular Sabbath is First Fruits is another high Sabbath as some call them. It is the Feast of First Fruits that Messiah was resurrected, as the days are changing at the end of the Sabbath, then He becomes our First Fruits of the harvest. I am not sure what you mean by offical version, there is only one offical version and thats the way Messiah did it all those other times before His death and resurrection. Yeshua was not starting a new custom of communion although any time one partakes of the fruit of the vine and the bread of life we are celebrating He becoming our lamb! Yeshua took His disciples on the day to a dinner to break bread and have wine the night of the 14th as the 13th became the 14th then throughout that night after dinner He was taken and interrogated then lead out to slaughter at the same time the lambs were slain for Passover, it was more important to Him to be the Passover than to eat of it as He had done since His birth. The 14th is a day of preparation, taking the lamb to the priest, getting all ones unleavened bread done, a reason why none of the priest would accompany the Messiah into the court they would have become unclean and not able to partake of the Passover. The lambs are slain and taken to be eaten in either home gatherings or congregational settings. As the day turns into the 15th the lambs are cooked and eaten with unleavened bread. Hope you don't mind putting this into this post instead of making another one. There are many who attach different meanings to the cups, I list them not much differently than you do, sanctification, deliverance, redemption and praise. I do see the Passover as a renewed/newer one that went along with the renewed/newer covenant, He changed the sacrifice, He changed the Priesthood, He changed the focus of the Passover to His blood and works and not anything done with ones hands. The focus is no longer on the blood of animals that cleans one of sins to the blood of the Messiah who not only covers our sins but also annihilates sin over us when we accept Him, no longer do sins need to be forgiven once a year but each time we sin He forgives us as we call out to Him. What a better sacrifice, what a better way to partake in Passover each year than to have Him as our lamb, our Savior and King. shalom, Mizz
  10. The supper Yeshua ate with the apostles was not the Passover meal He brought them together to show how the Passover reflect His death, He could not have eaten Passover on the 15th of Abib/Nissan and been the sacrifical lamb which was sacrificed between 3-9 pm on the 14th. If we think about the chaos that happened right after that meal we can see why Messiah broke bread with them telling them the Passover is the memorial meal to be eaten yearly in remembrance of His death and resurrection. The best way to go and look at it is on a nasa website, so basically the 15th of Abib/Nisan was April 4th 30 AD, the lamb was slaughter/He was crucified between the hours 3 to 9 pm or between the evenings, I believe it says that He was slain about 3 pm on the 14th, taken off the cross before sundown on the 15th and would already been put into the grave, that would make 72 hours right about the end of the Sabbath, so Wed to Sat. I think I said that right?! There really is no contradictions in scripture and we all miss so much when we leave off the hebraic nature of the scriptures. shalom, Mizz
  11. Yes this is what Rev. is referring to the feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot where we all will have our wedding feast with our Messiah and King! God always works within cycles, all the feasts have importance not just in the prophetic but in yearly cycles marking planting and harvesting each celebrate the land and our redemption. One reason I keep them each year as a memorial, a rehearsal to what will take place when He returns again. If you have never really ever done an in depth study into the feast of God and what they mean you really should theres so much in them, and the fall feast as you may know mirror the tribulation, the second coming, and the millennial kingdom. I just get excited about them! And for some of us Passover is tonight starting the feast of Unleavened bread and ends with His resurrection! wow what a week ahead! Shalom! Mizz
  12. The palm waving is attached to Sukkot and not really with Pesach, Messiah fulfilled Zech. 9. When Messiah was riding into Jerusalem it was also when the high priest had inspected the lamb and was to make its way to the temple, it was at the exact moment He rode ahead of the lamb many of those there had no idea they were welcoming the true lamb of God. The disciples we read were a bit perplexed by what was happening yet we read they finally understood when they remembered what was written about Him and what would happen when He came the first time. When Messiah rode that donkey it was not the triumphal entry but the humble servants entry but when He returns on His white horse now that will be the triumphal entry, taking what is rightfully His once again. What a day, what a time of joy when we will welcome Him with palm branches and rejoicing and singing. shalom, Mizz
  13. Many of these people don't see themselves as rejecting Jesus. They see themselves as living in the religious context that Jesus did. They are wrong, as modern Judaism is not the religion of Jesus' day. I don't think they understand that conversion to Judaism also includes having to verbally repudiate all other religions. If I reject Buddhism, by logical extension I reject Buddha. So to reject Christianity is by extenstion, rejecting Jesus. They are sorely decieved, but this is what happens when people become messianic extremists. For the ones I know thats the first thing they reject, Messiah as God and Savior, King and the rest. It all starts with the idea that He was just a man and it ballons from there. All the people I personally know that went from mainstream to messianic to Judaism all knew and embraced Judaism and gladly confessed that Yeshua was a man, a string of men who claimed to be the Messiah. What gets me so much is the running from one religion to another, many messianics just coming from mainstream embrace all kinds of Jewish traditions which kinda defeats what they saw as 'bad' in their other churches. I see the divide happening in many of the smaller circles of peoples and a coming together of many others, personally I believe God is pouring His Spirit out on all kinds of people today.

    2 Israels?

The law was never meant to make one righteous, if one kept the law blessing were given by God thats exactly what God says, 'if you obey me then I will be your God and I will do this...' no righteousness did not come from the keeping the law yet God tells us if you love Me you will keep my commandments. Grace abounds in the entire bible not just in the new testament. The grace I am talking about is that which comes through Christ. You think Gods grace is different than Messiah's grace? It is one and the same. God provided grace to those in the OT, God provides grace to those in the NT, God provides grace to all, He sent His Son what more proof of love and grace than that? Grace is what we are covered with when we believe in Him, grace was what covered those prophets, kings, and every day common folk who believed in Him and the promise of the Messiah throughout the entire bible, whether its the OT or the NT. I'm sorry Mizz, I never meant to imply there was a difference between God's grace or Messiahs grace. I"m saying what Paul said in Romans 11:6, And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Thing is Childeye, no one in the OT ever thought the law saved them, that it brought salvation and the promised life with the Messiah. During the captivity Judah learned how to put fences around the Torah thinking they were protecting Gods instructions when they went to rebuild they had a whole generation that didn't know a thing about temple ways. So we fast forward to Messiahs time and we find that the pharisees are the sect that won the political clout to carry the 'laws' so Romans is just trying to show once again that daily sacrifices did not gain favor with God, that He desires mercy more than sacrifices. Works never gained salvation, the ancient Israelites knew this, we know this, the pharisees did know this but they were more politically motivated and felt that everything needed to revolve around the temple and themselves. The apostles had a hard row to sow when pointing out to the folks that they didn't have to do what the pharisees did just listen to the reading of Moses and that Gods words will tell them how to behave, how to gain life through the Messiah. When we accept Messiah we also accept His grace that covers us when we fail and miss the mark, we are to grow in faith and that faith and belief in Him will always produce good works. Walking in Gods Torah, His commandments keeps us walking in His light, as David says in Psalms 119:105 and else where, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." Its never an either or situation we can do no good works unless we are walking in His light, we can have grace cover us but if we do no good works then we are not following His instructions. shabbat shalom, Mizz
  15. Sorry Neb I wasn't trying to start anything just commenting on something and answering something. I very very seldom ever get into debates on easter, christmas or any of the hundreds of other things that get beat to death. shabbat shalom, Mizz

  18. It's wrong for kids to have fun? The children don't know it's origins and they are just having a big time. They are not worshipping mother earth and they are not doing anything wrong. I think it's kind of pointless, but I am not ready to take the next step and try to vilify it and ban it. It's another futile effort to brand something pagan when it isn't. I'm not going to get into a debate if easter is pagan or not, just way too many of those threads here already. Also I am not going to label anyone with any pagan anything. Personally I see biblically its not what Messiah did, nor did the apostles so that shows me keep the things He did and try my best not to mix things together. But honestly theres no religion, not one, that does not add and subtract when it comes to traditions. My family likes to keep things simple, we keep the Feasts of God as best we can and others can do as they wish. Yet if Messiah says not to mix the holy with the profane, so today eggs are seen as harmless with no real attachment to the original deities or practices but still rooted in something scriptures tell us we are not to participate in. Sunrise services to honor our risen Messiah?, theres not a thing wrong with that really, and how pagan can a person be who is in awe of what Yeshua has done for them and everyone of us? shalom, Mizz
  19. So true! It would have been in the dark hours of the morning when He was brought in, the priests would not go with Yeshua into the palace because if they had they would have become unclean and unable to partake of the Passover. We see it was still dark since there were fires still burning, the priests in charge of calling out, the 'cock crows' part of scripture shows it was very early also and of course thats what the scriptures say. The pharisees nor the saducess had any authority to put anyone on trial since rome and its rules were in force thats why they had to take Yeshua to Pilot. It was Pilot who sentenced Messiah and it was Yeshua who allowed it to happen He gave His life for us no one took if from Him.
  20. Yeshua riding into Jerusalem on the donkey was first the fulfillment of Zech. 9:9, I believe. And as He was riding into Jerusalem the Passover lamb was being inspected, picked out for its 4 day inspection which Messiah also fulfilled by teaching in the temple and being questioned by the priests.
  21. That teacher needs to go back to school.....she thinks she struck a blow at Christianity but, as most believers know, 'Easter' is derived from the pagan fertility goddess Astarte and 'easter eggs' are associated with her, not Jesus. The Resurrection is completely removed from easter eggs, bunnies and silly goddesses. I wonder if the ACLU knows that this teacher is forbidding the observation of a (gasp!) pagan holiday and offending countless worshippers of Mother Earth? I only wish that all churches would remove all these things from their congregations! I know more than a few churches who are doing a sunrise service and then going out and having a great big easter egg hunt with the kids while the moms go and prepare a pancake breakfast.
  22. I'm not really surprised by this. Many who come into the Messianic movement find themselves slipping right past it all and finding Judaism is what they see. Its really sad in many ways, first to decide not to believe in the Messiah after knowing Him is a hard thing to watch and see especially in light of the scriptures saying that He is the way the truth and light.
  23. And this is supposedly why the man did not want to leave, fear of reprisals on his men, fear that his men would be killed because they call on God and not allah.
  24. Very few countries would mess with Israel....they are the 4th strongest country, militarily, on earth. Who do you think would try that, mizzdy? Off hand I can think of at least a dozen entities that would like to try, and as Nebula pointed out Eze. 38. Israel is strong and with the backing of the US its even stronger, but thats a door that swinging shut. We also see Psalms 83 as an option, bringing the palestinians into a war with Israel would allow the caliphate to come a bit more quickly also allowing the beast to fully rise as a worlds power. What many fail to see is that its Judah with some of the other tribes within its borders just as God said would happen that Judah would come back to the land in unbelief and that they would need to cry out to Him that was pierced for their redemption and salvation. When Israel is attacked and it will be according to scriptures thousands maybe millions will die on all sides but then someone will come along and make it all better for a time. To think that Israel is going to be left untouched is out of sync with scriptures. So let me ask this question to you, why do you think that Israel is going to be left untouched? shalom, Mizz
  25. Brother, Honestly, they associate the sounds you make with their likes and dislikes. They really don't understand you. My wife makes this littl whisper whistling kinda sound and my cat comes running. The cat doesn't come when you call it's name. it never has. It doesn't understand English. However, it knows that sound my wife makes means a good petting, stroking, and cat treats. It's responding to positive affection. In the same way my dog knows when the leash comes out it's time to walk. He loves to explore and he gets very excited when someone goes to the closet to get his leash and say' "You wanna go for a walk boy?" He doesn't understand the word walk nor does he understand bath which sends him scurrying. We could have switched the words in the beginning and he would respond to the jiggling of his leash as a bath had we named it such. He associates actions with certain reactions. He doesn't understand us. Peace, Dave Now I beg to differ! My dog hears the word 'walk' in any conversation he, even in a sound sleep, will get up and start pacing from my shoes to the back door! And if someone says 'bath' all we catch is the back end of him as he is going out the doggie door! And if someone is holding something that even smells like his shampoo he is running as far into the backyard he can get. It is true that dogs know routines and things that signal things they love or hate and it is true dogs do get to know sounds of words and attach meaning to them, say yum yum or food and most dogs ears go up and tails usually wag. We can say the same about babies we can attach words to objects, bottle for milk and thats what they will come to know the object by until they are old enough to see thats not the right names. We all learn to hear through phonetically even animals humans are just able to put them into vocalizations and animals can not yet they have the same inner workings as we do, kinda strange maybe they did talk in the beginning? If you can teach a dog to use Speak and Spell, i WILL AGREE WITH YOU Now didn't you see the dog that can add numbers? or the horse who can add also! Lest we forget to mention the dogs that can say mama! Even though animals have the same innards as we do and even if they could have talked to Adam they don't seem to be able to use their vocal cords as we can now. Maybe they are just out of practice.
