Okay, dont shoot me now, but I have to tell you what I saw yesterday. I went to town to visit my mother-in-law. The church I used to attend was having an "Easter Drive Thru". They were having a Semi-passion play on the parking lot. In the middle of the play was someone dressed up in a Bunny Costum. Now, I know the bunny has been mixed with the real reason for the season but, This person in the Bunny suit was "hopping" around the people in the passion play, running up to the cars and giving out candy. I just looked at this from across the street and wept. No wonder the secular society equates Bunny Rabbits with the resurrection. I wish yall could have seen it. This 6 foot Pink bunny, running around this guy holding a plank and acting out the part of Yeshua as he is led to the hill to be crucified. It turned my stomach. We as believers are people of faith, we know what price Yeshua paid for us, we have never seen Yeshua, but we know He LIVES. But the secular world who are dying in their sins only see the Easter Bunny. How sad.

Thats a good question. Im wondering myself if the Menorrah(the 7 branched candelstick) might be os some symbolic importance to the 7 spirits trferred to in those verses. I know that Yeshua is symbolic of the middle candel which is the Servent candle and candels show forth light and there was oil used (symbolic) of holy Spirit. Maybe someone could help us out here. Neb, interesting site, although i may not agree with all they say. There are all kinds of gods but the One True "LIVING" God is the Great I AM. A friend of mine once said she thought it important to identify, when in conversation with anyone, which god she worshipped. She would always say The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I never thought much about until i was in conversation once at school with someone from the Islamic faith. She just kept saying God this, god that, and I thought we were speaking of the same God I worshipped. Turned out she was speaking of the Islamic god of her faith. And I know a man who was a devout buddist.(He is now a believer in Yeshua) He would talk about god this and god that, all the time he was referring to buddah. I believe the word God is derived from the germanic gutt/gott, but i do not look at it as pagan, just simply a title. Thats why its capitalized in our scriptures so we know that it speaks of the One true God. Paul used the statue made to the unkown god to preach the message of the One True God. I praise Yeshua for what He did on the cross, I just dont worship the cross. Its just been a symbol of our christian faith since the time of Constantine. Hello Nebula, yes Tammuz spoken of in Ezekiel was known as the "Cross God". Crosses go way back. Constantines Labarum is much like Mithras Sword and Crown. Do a serach on ancient sun crosses. They have been around since the tower of babel.

Gerioke, The word God is a title. The word Lord is also a title. Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of Lords. Yes, there have been many Pagan gods worshipped thru out the ages. But there is only One Living God. And Yes He has a Name. In the pslams He is called YAH. Ever say HallaluYah? This phrase is ithe same in every language. It means Praise Yah. Gods Sons name is Jesus in the English which came from the Roman Latin. His name is Ieosus in the Greek and Yeshua in the Hebrew. Some say it is Yahshua because He said He came in His Fathers name which is Yah or Yahweh. Most people including me call Him Father God. But Yeshua is also called by many other titles such as wonderful, counsiler, Almighty God (El Gibor) Prince of Peace. And those who call upon Him shall be saved. Hope this has helped you some. Super Jew, I agree with you. America has become so self-serving. The polls say (if you believe in polls) that most Americans are for letting her die. This outa tell everyone here in America just where we are headed. If this country (based on polls) doesnt care anymore for life here, what makes anyone think it cares about life outside of it? I commend all those who are taking a stand with terri and her parents. But we must also start taking a look at the world around us and help those less fortunate than ourselves. Isn't this what Yeshua would want?

Greetings brokenclay, First of all, I guess I would ask him if he doesnt believe in church buildings where people congregate, then what are you doing here? I can understand some of which you are saying. Having studied the origional way in which the church was operating, most fellowshipped from house to house, or went to the synagouges. Maybe what he is referring to is that the body of Christ is the church and not the building per say. For sometime now I do have a problem with some assemblies building up the actual building instead of the body of believers. Maybe this is where he is coming from. As far as Christmass, Easter, ect.. I too do not celebrate these (and no I am not JW or SDA) but believe that each should be persuaded in their own mind about doing so. I would venture to say he has studied up on their origions and maybe for him, he would not rather do it. Personally, I believe guide books are fine, but using the scriptures alone is better. When we use guide books, we usually rely on the author of those books interpetation of scripture and , we all being human can sometimes make mistakes in our interpitations of such. But since you are the one leading the class, tell him you would perfer all questions or comments to come after the lesson is over. God has given us pastors and teachers so I know that is biblical, he has probably been burned so to speak by some (as I have) so just bear with him. But dont allow him to take over the class. This may take some patience on your part, and you maybe being tried for a reason, study up on what he has presented to you and see where he is coming from, then dig deep in those scriptures and ask God to guide you by the Holy Spirit into the truth. Then stand on that truth. May God Bless you in this situation and give you His wisdom in this matter. Shalom

I believe you have something there TW. I see that the Israelits had with them "a mixed multitude", and for this mixed multitude to live with Israel they too surely had to recieve the commandments. This mixed multitude joined Israel. In Acts 15:20, 21 James gives the gentiles coming into the faith some instructions and then tells them basically that they can learn the rest in the synagogues on Sabbath. Basically, the 10 commandments were given to the whole world. If they are now done away with at Calvary, then what is left to show man his sins?
