One can only wonder what the establishment will dream up for us to fear in the future. Save the Aardvarks? Flesh-eating avian west nile lymes ebola melt your face off, disorder? SAVE THE WORLD! (by purchasing a useless item whos manufacturing & distribution process rapes yet more of the earth) It's always something, it's always ultimately meaningless and it's endless. Low-carb anyone? The one that kills power at the outlet level is just a downright bad idea. The thing about those electronics that use a bit of power all the time, is that randomly shutting them down is bad for them. You could kill your DVD player or something with that. The blinds are the only one I really like, that sounds very useful, assuming it works.
