just to give a bit of a heads up....

over a month ago, I had a couple items for sale, for a total of 150 bucks, not much, anyways, I got a hit on them, and the buyer

agreed to the price and the conditions (buyer responsible for delivery, looking for local buyer more so then a distant buyer)

the person said they would send the money order and then after it cleared to notify him and he would then get his agent to do the delivery ordeal.....

not a bad thing....

as time went on, the email contacts started looking a bit weird, nothing really i could put my finger on, just weird. so I started trying to do some research on this person, and all that...

well, last week we had a yard sale coming up, so I emailed this person and told them that I was putting the items out for sale again, for I had not yet received anything from him....

he emailed me back and said the money orders (plural, more then one) were on their way, and that when I received them to take out the amount for the items plus 30 bucks for delay, and then "western union" the balance to his "agent" so that his agent could make delivery arraignments .....

today I received two money orders, for 850 bucks each... not 150 total, but 1500 total.... this seemed even fishier, so I looked up and called the bank that they were "drawn " from, and they said to call a 1 800 number to check on the tracking...

I called that number and well, guess what? those two money orders ARE NOT IN THE SYSTEM..... they were unable to tack them.

the money orders are dated in march, and the first contact was late may, and here it is June and the post mark is dated late june......

the money orders were drawn on a bank in one state, and the post mark is in another state, and was suppose to western union the money back to another city out of country....

now..... if a person has money wired Western Union , then no matter where it is suppose to go, it can be picked up anywhere in the world once the person has the tracking number for it.....

after I called the Money Order company, I then called the Secret Service, and they gave me even more information....

i was instructed to GET RID OF THEM..... cause if there is an investigation on going, and they end up tracking it to me, and even if I do not try to cash them, I am in possession of either STOLEN OR FRAUDULENT OR COUNTERFEIT material.....

they instructed me to take them to the local authorities (police) and turn them over with them.......

oh yeah, I have also filed a complaint for internet fraud/crimes.......

I praise the Lord, He gave me the information that something was amiss.....

I am not out any cash, and do not have to worry any more about it......

oh yeah, there are so many of these types of crimes on going that if I had lost money, I would be placed on a list...

so, just a heads up....

the excuse used for the overpayment was that the persons assistant made an error and sent the wrong money orders to the wrong people, and rather then just send them back and correct them, to send the balance back......

just be careful about dealing with people you donot know.......
