I think you and the others are missing something. The people with the guns were no where near the president. They were at gatherings outside the building. I'll bet the route taken to bring in Obama came no where even in sight of these protesters.

Anyone carring a gun (and I am not advocating gun control, I am advocating self control), in a gathering of people, near a public figure, near a school, unless they are an appointed law enforcement official, to prove a point or not, is as crazy as a bedbug! C'mon Fez...I was responding to the notion that guns and presidents have some kind of bad 'history'. They do not. You are advocating gun control. You wish to "control" where and when a US Citizen can exercise their 2nd Amendment rights (not in a group, not near a public figure, not near a school.) If it was only about self-control then you should be praising the FACT that over a dozen armed people showed up to a Presidential event and practiced there rights...with self-control. Under Bush, people with Anti-Bush T-Shirts expressing their first amendment rights get arrested. That was not under Bush's direction...AND YOU KNOW IT! The police, who were attempting to keep the peace, arrested people outside of the Bush Administration policies to only arrest demonstrators as a last resort. Under Obama, people are not only allowed to express their first amendment rights, but they are expressing their second amendment rights at the same time. Thats because they were smart enough to advise the local authorities beforehand. Its because we are law-abiding and peacekeeping. I don't care whether this was legal or not, We know libs don't care about the law or our constitutional rights...tell us something we don't know. If you are soaking yourself in gasoline...don't blame the guy lighting a fire near you.
