Yes, most of us know he had a man killed to get his wife. But King David wept till his pillows were soaked (more than once). Off the topic for a second, two of my Bibles were stolen, so I won

Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not. Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. I think David was such a man as to hate the things that he succumbed to in the flesh. He grieved over his inability to conquer the desires that he had. Still, he truly loved the Lord, as was evident in his service to Him. I'm sorry your bibles were stolen Brother. Oh Traveller: What can be said about you by me that can adequately describe all the posts and good deeds you have done towards a sinner like me? In regards to your present post, I enjoyed David grieving over his lack of control over the flesh. Very "Romans," where the spirit and flesh are declared divided. His tears were wrought from different emotions. Joy,empathy, gratitude, grief, sorrow and love. How could such a great and powerful God love me? If my Lord was a reproach, what am I? Psa 22:6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. Aqua, Very insightful and interesting comment made by you. Especially the part about weeping from different emotions.... I am a hard-hearted man and I need to be reminded that we don

I agree. People's bibles are so very personal. Notes are written in them, memories are attached to certain areas, inscriptions made. One gets to know the worn places, the scuff marks. I pray the thieves gain insights into their actions. May they be convicted.
