I'd link you to them, but they contain spoilers . Anyway there are positive and negative elements. Positive - The theme of faith Sacrificing all for God Discipleship Revering the Word Negative - Violence - gory At the end of the movie the Bible is placed next to the the Talmud and the Koran (Not mentioned, but I saw) no reference to Jesus' death and resurrection Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's not based on the word, so be warned. It's not that kind of movie. There is no mention of Jesus. There are two simple prayers, that I remember. When all this prophecy from the Bible comes to pass we may want to takes notes now on how Eli walked in faith and that we may be called to walk the same way, someday. Really enjoyed the education! You know it was violent and it certainly was not a "Christian" movie in the sense that it was theologically correct etc. But you know it was good and it was a neat concept. It made me thing about the importance of knowing the Word of God and how lucky we are to have access to the Word of God. The premise is not that far-fetched.
