Jeremiah prophesied about the "day of the Lord" that was coming against Judah. When it came, I doubt he was jumping up and down for joy. You see, we need to stop looking at the Day of the Lord as "the rapture" and see it for what it is - there will be much pain and bloodshed. However, we should not be overjoyed at the Day of the Lord. I personally know many people that will perish and go to an eternity of torment should that Day be tomorrow. Not for me, as I will be with the Lord. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." "Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with the hand mill; one will be taken and the other left." "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come." (Matthew 24:36, 40 & 42) Look at Matthew 24:45-46: "It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions." It is good. When Jesus Christ, the Master, returns he would say, "Thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord." He will honor you and grant you greater responsibility. I never said it was. But if you're saved you don't need to worry about it because of the Rapture.
