I like Xan had the experience of the more I got into Gods word the less I desired to read or watch anything of the dark side. It wasn't a big conviction thing, I just lost interest. There are many great fiction writers that don't go into those areas. I've gotten so disgusted with TV that I rarely watch it except to see the news, and even that is questionable. Idols is putting something in place of God. If I were to look around my house and say well what can I not live without it would have to be a clock. Many believer's are unable to fellowship with the Holy Spirit because they waste their time reading unwanted stuff,which is really a hinderance to their spiritual life. Imagine Jesus standing close to you,in your room where you are busy with the horror novels that you are reading! Tell me would he be pleased with such things?
