So far more than 800 American soldiers have died in Bush Administrations ongoing war in Iraq. There is also an estimated 10,000+ Iraqi's killed as well, mostly innocent civilians. And many thousands crippled, maimed and permanently disfigured. WHY? Because, Bush & co. said, Saddam Hussein posed a "mortal threat" that we had to "pre-empt" before "mushroom clouds" rose over our country. Well no matter how you try to hash and re-hash the statements of our countries leaders, it is now clear beyond the shadow of a doubt that we were flat out intentionally lied to! (The many many proofs that he did lie several times have been provided in a couple of different threads here at WorthyBoards. Sorry these cannot all be written off as flawed intelligence- that is a very weak argument for a country that spends HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS on intel and one that can use satellites to view even the finest details on precise locations world wide.)

And the end result of these series of lies is that many thousands have needlessly died and been permanently handicapped.

Now the Bush Administrations chief weapons inspector, David Kay, says there were no such WMD, and the Army's own War College says the invasion "was a war-of-choice" not of necessity. It is now obvious that our forked tongue leaders did in fact know this all along. All of the lies and double talk was merely a smoke-screen to divert the public's attention from the awful truth.

Below are the exact words the Bush Administration used to persuade us to approve of the shedding of innocent blood;

George Bush: "There is no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to posess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised."

Dick Cheney: "There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction."

Donald Rumsfeld: "We know where they (WMD) are."

Colin Powell: "Leaving Saddam Hussein in posession of weapons of mass destruction for a few more months or years is not an option."

(I know, I know the new story is that Saddam quickly exported all of these WMD to surrounding countries. Remember the precise and exacting satellite imaging that we were talking about? If this were true we would most certainly have known about it while it was happening. Also, you can be sure that we have undercover operatives in all of the surrounding countries as well as in Iraq before the war.)

So thanks to Pres. Bush and his followers we as a country have lowered ourselves to Saddam's own abysmal status of MASS MURDERER. Although Bush and his cronies may see these many thousands of people merely as pawns and "collateral damage", their blood is on his hands! Now it is certain that Pres. George W. Bush and his friends are in fact the very same kind of people as Saddam Hussein. So where will this war regeim go next???

Yet to ad insult to injury, many Americans (And Christians) actually bought the Bush Administrations lies hook, line and sinker, and they not only applaud his evil actions and brutal unnecessary bloodshed, but they claim that he was led by God. Have we as a country and a people grown so cold hearted, shallow minded and petty in our culture, that we cheer at the shedding of innocent blood. And we try to then justify it as if the end justifies the means

and cheese food.

You are intentionally lying when you say that. There is absolutely no proof that Bush did anything but act on the accepted intelligence of the day. Every nation in the world believed Saddam had WMDs. Why?

Because he did! You are asking the wrong question...which is; where are they now?

If you disagree with Bush's leadership then vote him out of office. I trust the American people will make the right decision about who is lying.

Your over-the-top rhetoric will only help ensure his re-election, btw.

Right on, brutha' yod!

Over half the civilized world agreed that Saddam had WMD's. All the intelligence pointed to it for the last 10 years. Did the Clinton administration do anything about it? No one seems to want to talk about that. so shhhhhhh....

How come no one's ever figured out how foolish it would have been for the bush administration to lie about something like this in the first place. If it was a lie, and Bush knew it was a lie, he would have known in advance that they wouldn't find anything! One would logically suspect that, if anything, Bush would have tried to order someone to plant a few WMD's around Iraq to prove that he was right. Well, no one's planted anything, so obviously Bush believed that Saddam had them. As did the rest of the world - including, I might add, John Kerry.

Yeah G-man.

Do you find that it doesn't take a whole lot of intelligence to count several thousand dead Kurds? :king:

Actually Yod that is a pretty accurate number that has been well documented. It's actually closer to 14,000

Hussain killed and starved more than that yearly and would of continued. But thats not as bad I guess. Isn't it a shame that those two peace loving gentle and kind sons of his are not gone get there chance serve the people of Iraq as their Father's successors? Im sure they would have been real teddy bears. Darn that evil President Bush. Think of all those hundreds of thousands of lives that Saddam and company are not going to get to snuff out anymore. If you think you live in a Country run by TERRORISTs and you are free to leave, why stay? Don't be part of a TERRORIST STATE.

it's the "mostly innocent civilians" part that I doubt

LOOK AT WHAT THE EVIL SUPERPOWER TERRORISTS PUT AN END TO

Mass Graves of Iraq: Uncovering Atrocities

Identifying the remains of over one million missing Iraqis will bring comfort to their families, promote reconciliation, and help develop a new system of justice in Iraq. Some 50 mass graves containing hundreds of thousands of bodies have been identified. The Iraqi Human Rights Ministry is spearheading efforts to identify remains in the graves and collect evidence for future prosecutions. There is another effort to create a bureau of missing persons to centralize information on those killed under Saddam Hussein's regime. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor.

CPA, Iraqis Develop Plan

To Deal with Mass Graves

U.S. State Department

The discovery of mass graves in Iraq graphically testifies to the brutality of Saddam Hussein's regime and the challenges of building a more pluralistic and law-based state. Both the dead and the living are victims of the crimes that are buried in these graves. We cannot bring back the hundreds of thousands of missing Iraqis. However, identification of as many bodies as possible and accountability for the circumstances of their deaths will enable them to move forward to build a society that respects and protects fundamental human rights and dignity.

"Iraqi citizens must have both eyes open: one looking to the future, and the other looking to the past."

Dr. Rafid al-Husseini, President of the Society for the Preservation of Mass Graves

Mass graves in Iraq are characterized as unmarked sites containing at least six bodies. Some can be identified by mounds of earth piled above the ground or as deep pits that appear to have been filled. Some older graves are more difficult to identify, having been covered by vegetation and debris over time. Sites have been discovered in all regions of the country and contain members of every major religious group as well as foreign nationals, including Kuwaitis and Saudis. Over 250 sites have been reported, of which approximately 40 have been confirmed to date. Over one million Iraqis are believed to be missing in Iraq as a result of executions, wars and defections, of whom hundreds of thousands are thought to be in mass graves.

Most of the graves discovered to date correspond to one of five major atrocities perpetrated by the regime.

The 1983 attack against Kurdish citizens belonging to the Barzani tribe, 8,000 of whom were rounded up by the regime in northern Iraq and executed in deserts at great distances from their homes.

The 1988 Anfal campaign, during which as many as 182,000 people disappeared. Most of the men were separated from their families and were executed in deserts in the west and southwest of Iraq. The remains of some of their wives and children have also been found in mass graves.

Chemical attacks against Kurdish villages from 1986 to 1988, including the Halabja attack, when the Iraqi Air Force dropped sarin, VX and tabun chemical agents on the civilian population, killing 5,000 people immediately and causing long-term medical problems, related deaths, and birth defects among the progeny of thousands more.

The 1991 massacre of Iraqi Shi'a Muslims after the Shi'a uprising at the end of the Gulf war, in which tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians in such regions as Basra and Al-Hillah were killed.

The 1991 Kurdish massacre, which targeted civilians and soldiers who fought for autonomy in northern Iraq after the Gulf war.

Opponents and critics of the regime from all religious and ethnic groups were also executed and buried in mass graves. Many of these are believed to be located at or near prisons and former military establishments.

These crimes have acquired a measure of notoriety and salience. Thousands of other Iraqis, including Marsh Arabs, Shi'a Muslims in the 1970s and 1980s, and students involved in uprisings in Najaf in 1999 may also be lying in mass graves in Iraq.

Strategic Plan

The Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA), in cooperation with the interim Iraqi Human Rights Ministry, is implementing a program to identify remains in the graves and collect evidence of past atrocities for future prosecutions. These objectives address the needs of grieving families and the demands of accountability and justice. The program was developed in consultation with Iraqi specialists, international human rights groups, and renowned forensic experts.

Yod ..it makes me sick as well. Oh Well...I guess we choose what we will be sad about. Some will cry all day about the prison pantie torture at Abu-Ghraib and not shed a tear over the list of things Saddam did. Lets see... Hmmmmm. Which is worse? Panties on the head or bees on your child? What are all those poor bees going to do now that the Evil Americans have taken down Hussain and friends.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
