The last thing President Barack Obama did before leaving for a 10-day vacation on Thursday was call out Senate Republicans again for opposing a jobs bill for small businesses.

If the President had any credibility at all in the Small Business community, or any where for that matter, this might be a problem.:laugh:

Then why not take the billions at his disposal that remains unused from the stimulus funds and do something rather than bludgeoning the opposing party for standing in the way of his Socialist ideals? I'll tell you why. It's an Election year and the President is pandering because his party stands on the precipice of a massacre.:laugh:

He's trying to use the Bully Pulpit but there's no Bully left in the pit. :taped: His wife went on vacation too many times and the American public has had enough already. :emot-handshake:

Ok..you win. Obama has sole responsibily for everything that has ever gone wrong in this county. He single handed destroyed the economy, ruined the housing market and caused all the outsourcing of jobs in the last few decades.

LOL

Sister, that's not what I said and honestly, you have a real chip on your shoulder.

You weren't as generous concerning George W. Bush and your commentary.

I disliked Bush as president as much as I dislike Obama as president. I would have had George over for a BBQ tho.

i can relate to that, KatyAnn. I was furious at Mr. Bush a lot, even though I voted for him, but supported him on SOME things. Same with President Obama, who I didn't vote for; I'm furious with him a lot too but sometimes I agree with him. But I think both men would be fun to have at a barbeque. As guests, that is.

We, silly Americans that we are, somehow think that one party or the other will makes things better. They won't, unless they can votes out of it. And the Republicans ARE blocking that bill but....I'm not sure I want to see a bailout of small business. I'd rather see their taxes cut; this is where the Democrats are really ticking me (and millions of others) off. This is why we need to put collars on our government officials; makes it easier to yank their chains when they get out of line.

There is a problem. Obama does not know what he is doing and Congress is no good either. But that is NOT the point. The point is that small businesses need a break so they can start hiring and they are not getting it.

Yet another "stimulus"??? How stupid does he think we are?? No wonder the Repubs won't hear of it. Aren't some Dems opposed, too?

Recession means less profit for the real capitalists. Recession is the excuse given to fund them and to keep the salaries down of the workers. Small businesses are a target not only in the US but everywhere. Take BP: they tell us about how much their stock has lost but not about all those of hundreds of small businesses affected by the spill. There are is no stimulus package for them.

Blessings
