I have been to some lovely ones, some sad ones, some very angry ones and some which evolved into a dysfunctional chaotic mess fueled by too much alcohol and a lot of old family baggage and disagreements that were never resolved. I don't like to go to weddings... they are usually attempts at being over the top and often miss the desired target. I like simple weddings... very very simple. Also, I was an attendant in a wedding years ago when the minister asked if anyone objects to the joining of these two ..... and yup... there was not one .... but two objections that required the minister to ask the bride, the groom and those objecting to go to room near the sanctuary; 25 minutes later... the bride came back ... the groom and his parents - left.
