if God/Jesus asked you to do the same, how easy would it be for you to get rid of all of your belongings, leave your family and friends and to just take a walk of faith?

If literally, it was Jesus standing before me and telling me. Very easy, in an instant.

If it was me "hearing" his voice it would take a lot of soul searching and decision making.

Such is our faith........

How big is a mustard seed again?

I will guard against thinking too highly of myself, or overstating my strength of faith or devotion to Him, but I HOPE I would be faithful in all He called me to do, and I believe He gives us the strength as we need it to be obedient to Him. Leaving family would be very difficult, but personal possessions I care little about.

God has asked me to do things that, at first, have seemed impossible. But in obeying I find they are not only possible, but make me feel happy and "lighter" for having done them. So, my answer is, if my Father asks it of me I would do it, even if it seems negative to me. Who am I to argue?

I have done that in my youth going on ywam staff with not much more then a suitcase of clothes my bible and a handful of personal belongings. Not to hard not to easy. The trick is to remember where you are to store your treasure. Heaven.

Yes, but that gets a lot harder when you have a great deal of possessions and a spouse and child.

Remember Peter swore he would never deny Christ, and he did three times. We all want to think that we are obedient in all things, but at times we fail.

I could leave home & possessions. Family includes elderly relatives who are dependent on me.

Rarely, almost never, has God spoken to me in such a clear way that I was sure it was God. 2 times, to be specific. More often, I get some thought I think ~might~ be from God, but if it's telling me something I like to hear, I have to wonder if I'm fooling myself. I get nudges. If I felt nudged to leave behind my elderly relatives, I'd feel suspicious it was just my own desire to get out from under the responsibility and trouble of dealing with them. Hope that makes sense. No, I'm not always very nice.

You must have more definite communication with God than I do. Maybe some day... If I was sure who was asking, then I would do it.

There Are Those Who "Hear"

And Who Leave Wife And Children Devastated

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 1 Timothy 5:8

But The LORD Knows Who Are His

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. Proverbs 18:22

And God Does Not Lie

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ephesians 5:25

Nor Bug Out

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Rejoice evermore.

Pray without ceasing.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Quench not the Spirit.

Despise not prophesyings.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:15-24

Dear Lord, Thank You For Sharing Your Daughter With Me

I Am Blessed

Love

Joe
