The ten commandments if you look closely you will notice that they were written in stone for people with a stony heart and not because they separtated moral laws from cereimonial laws, or that they would last forever. The Laws of the Spirit lead a person to do good and to everlasting life. In the old covenant people eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The Ten commandment were from the good side of thr tree of Knowledge and the law brings the person with the stony heart to Christ. The Law foreshadowed the Holy Spirit After we recieve Christ we stop eating from the tree of Knowledge and begin to eat from the tree of life. The fruit of the Spirit are the Laws of the Spirit that we keep and the Ten Commandments fade away as we find our rest in Christ that the Sabbath Day pointed to. :a:

Guest yod
4. IF "the law brings the person with the stony heart to Christ" what effect does it have on those without a stoney heart? Gratitude for His mercy....which provokes to worship! The Law was delivered to condemn those outside of Yeshua's passover blood. But because of that very Law, sin can never bring condemnation upon a child of the Lamb! Atonement is made before all offenses from everlasting into eternity. ...and boy am I glad about that! :il:

And, who is the us?  A third question to be addressed is exactly what does it mean  "He is our peace" in this verse.  We know who the "He" is, Jesus. But how do you interpret the "our?" For, of course, the "our" is the same as "us." And it is the "middle wall of partition" which is was causing the "enmity" between "us." The middle wall is that they were chosen and we were not, but we were redeemed by the Son, and sealed by the Spirit-ch. 1) we were dead to God and are alive to God, we were called uncircumcized and without Christ, having no hope and without hope in the world 2:12 But, by the blood we who were far off (us non chosen ones)are now made near!  See Isaiah 9 so, instead of Jew and Gentile He has made us all accepted and equal with Christ. The whole book of Ephesians explains Gary's comment or quote quite well
