Sebelius: Health Care 'Really Is an Issue of National Security'

Dec 1, 2011 • By DANIEL HALPER In South Carolina earlier today, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said "that America’s health is a matter of national security and that she’s optimistic the Supreme Court will uphold the nation’s health care reform law," the Associated Press reports.

During a visit to the South Carolina coast, Sebelius spoke with a black nurses group and then was to attend a conference on improving access to health care.

The nation’s health “really is an issue of national security,”
she told the nurses group, adding that a healthy, productive work force “is an essential part of our prosperity.”

These folks are shameless in their attempt to deceive.

Health care is a National Security issue. The present health care system setup has the potential to bankrupt this country.

I hope this is sarcasm Katy Ann? :noidea: The health care system isn't going to bankrupt the country. What will bankrupt the country is the government spending more than they take in. If the politicians will simply learn to balance the budget, we will be just fine.

If it was possible to swap politicians between countries we would notice that there would be no difference

Blessings

The mandate in Obamacare has already been ruled unconstitutional. This creates a constitutional crisis if allowed to stand and poses a threat to National Security as it undermines the foundational principles and document of the Nation.

Health Care is not a National Security problem.

Health Insurance and quality health care are the priveledge of living in a blessed and prosperous society. They are not rights. Benefits as such do not have the intrinsic qualities capable of undermining National Security. However, undermining legitimate rights, as in forcing people to buy any given product, does undermine National Security.

Of course, if you are a Socilaist you will miss the whole point to begin with and do not believe in the rights of the individual.
