What would you use for water purification?

We have a stainless steel Berkey water filter and I have a couple of extra sets of filters. They are slow, but if set up correctly it will filter virus's out of water.

What kind of filter could filter out virus? I don't believe such filter exist, viruses are way too small to filter out.

it's called a burkey black water filter..... check it out on the web..

Shotgun, rifle, and a four wheel drive, and a country boy can survive. ;)

I will add to the list, brush up on how to garden, learn how to can foods (without electricity) and brush up on your bartering skills.

With all those guns running around I think I might just build myself a bunker in Fulham London. :o

Of course I shall have to stock pile it with MARMITE :whistling: :whistling:

to be honest if we had to survive on our own hunting skills here we would starve unless we learn how tocatch cats and dogs and kill them with a teaspoon.... we dont all run around with guns etc here and even if we did there are few places with " game" :noidea:

If one has the space, a good milk cow and a neighbor with a bull would be very handy to have... I'm afraid hunters would be a danger to your milk cows though.

What would you use for water purification?

Military grade water purification tablets. In a pinch, water with no known harmful chemical contaminents can be boiled and allowed to cool.

What is a military grade purification tablet called and where does one get it?

I am beginning to get curious about where people think they will go if they have to leave home?

The days of fleeing into the wilderness are pretty much gone aren't they?

We have one for our cities water supply occasionally has problems and they tell us not to give it to babies under 6 months old without boiling it and running it through coffee filters.... I ran across a good deal on it and picked one up. It will even filter food coloring out of water. That's the way you check to make sure that the filters are installed properly and nothing's broken Dump food coloring into the water in the top and make sure none of it flows through the filters.

I've sent water samples to the place where we have well water tested by the state and they tell me it's got nothing in it particle wise. It does leave the minerals. the carbon takes out the clorine products but it will not take out florine (which we stopped putting in our water years ago).
