Where did I say morals didn't matter? I said that the two issues are not the same, and I stand by that, I do not think they are. The rules for adopting an elder into the church ministry are far stricter than for the President of the USA.

in the concept of asking for santorum to be consistent. this is the rhetoric the lesser of two evils types are saying that i should ignore. just go ahead and knowingly vote for the lesser of the two liars. they still lie.all but paul is like this, and this is why i will write in. if they cant be honest in a campaign why should i trust them to be honest in office. i dont. if i had a christian who was constistent in his view but has good tract record of getting our issues through and was a big spender as well. i would vote for me as i believe god would bless him in office. godless capitalism is just as bad as godless socialism.

I never mentioned Santorum at all. noidea.gif

I don't think we are condemned for voting for the lesser of two evils if not voting in turn supports the more evil. It's not as if God is unaware that we have limited options, none of them "best", and will condemn us for making the best of what we have.

Think that is part of why so many people or at least a few may not want to vote...know it is part of the case with me anyway...politics tend to bring out the worst in people.

Yes, you're right. You've only to look at our government (local, state or federal) to see that statement is true. :whistling:

.... Or all all countries morally bankrupt....

I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. Joel 3:2

your guys point is that you need morals before you vote for them so since no one has morals then you wont vote. Well the problem is if fewer and fewer people vote, sooner or later the ability to vote will disappear altogether. The answer to the problem of no moral leaders is not to not vote-its to have moral people run, and there have been people with high morals run. Last election, and several before that, there was a man by the name of Alan Keyes-very devout christian, very high character. Would anyone vote for him, even in the primaries? no. Even the christians wont give him the time of day, because hes to outspoken. Refusing to vote won't solve the problem, voting for people who actually have morals, and there are those who run who do, keyes was just an example theres more then one-is the way to fix it.

I actually was very fond of him and would have loved to see him finish. That is half the problem....the good ones fall through the cracks.

Yes, Alan Keyes would have been a good candidate, especially against Obama. I think that, more often than not, it's not the message.....it's the money. As proof, I point to Mitt Romney. He's a third rate, has been governor who has flip flopped on EVERY major issue, who is weak and indecisive (not to mention a mediocre debater) and look at him climb in the ratings! Why? It's money. Sad, but true. Don't worry, patriot; millions will vote in November. There are very few who will stick to their convictions. Btw, most that I know who won't vote for Obama or Romney will be writing in a candidate or voting third party.

We will still be weighing in on the other ballot issues and races.

this christian would vote for alan keyes, i have met him and i have listened to him in a speech. he knows his stuff and is honest. im sorry i have seen what the lesser of two evils does.reverse of that logic if we keep voting the lesser of two evils then we will get the ac himself and not realise till its too late(making a point as i dont believe in the futurist version of the ac as the unrepentant sinner that denies the lord is the ac just much as any jew who denied the lord in person).

there was a take back america meeting here in my town and i went to his speech. he is that sincere and i use his argument for america being a christian nation as he doesnt sugar coat the bad parts of our history. that is why i like him"its better to be under the rule of imperfect men who submit to christ then men who wont submit to christ" that is in a nutshell what he says when he talks about americas christian heritage and revisionism.
