Well, I didn't mean that.

What I meant was someone is having a terrible run of things and whatever they pray the opposite seems to happen. I wonder if it's better just not to pray at all. :taped:

I wouldn't blame the prayer on that.

God doesn't work that way.

:emot-hug:

Hmmmm, so can praying for someone actually bring bad luck or bad results to them depending on WHO is praying? (Like praying for someone to be healed and they die instead.)

No. We can ask for healing for someone, and if it is His will, they will be healed, but it is not always His will to keep someone in this life. There is a time for everyone to die. To believe that all we have to do is have enough faith is a lie. We can never have enough faith to stop God from doing what His will si for someone.

Healing is a gift given to us as eh Holy Spirit sees fit. It is not for everyone, only ones He chooses. You can read this in 1 Corinthians 12.

I'm not superstitious about number 13, cats, ladders or anything else like it.

I do however think there is something strange when it comes to full moon. I seen animals get hyper during full moon and my dad tells me that my mother (she has Alzheimer) get restless and talks in her sleep during full moon, why, :noidea: I don'y know.

I see this alot! Especially when I worked with those with mental and physical disabilities, the elderly and those with impared abilities. Becoming restless, more active, more aggressive, etc. Full moon also effects the tide of the ocean...just my opinion, but I think during the full moon, people tend to notice the change in the atmosphere and react to it. No science logic behind that thought, but it's my take on it.

The University of Oxford did minute scientific tests on what amounted to a tea cup of water over a few full moon periods. They found movement of the water during full moon and measured it. I always struggle to sleep during full moon (no I am not a werewolf  ), and have often wondered if some people have a bit more fluid on the brain and it may be affected during full moon, causing problems?

It is never better not to pray to our Father in Heaven. If you are a father, how would you feel if your children didn't talk to you? If anything, the problem is we don't pray enough (myself included).

You never know Fez, you might be a werewolf. You can make a new song from the old one, "Werewolf in London" to "Werewolf in Africa", well at least there is no chance of you being a vampire or zombie.............. :o or is there.

I'm just having a little humor, after a long hot day at work.

Ok, so for those of us who are not superstitious and do not follow things like friday the 13th, do you wish folks good luck?

I'm sure it's popped out of my mouth a few times, though if it does, I usually retract it and point out that I don't actually believe in luck. Mostly, I try to just wish people well, tell them I hope God blesses them, offer encouragement as needed, etc.
