As long as we continually give thanks to the Lord and honour Him in our lives that is the main thing. Let us all rejoice in the Lord Jesus and His sacrifice for us. Let each one be persuaded in how own mind. I doesn't bother me to read God spelled G-d, it's still God to me, and I know who they are talking about. What can be more important than that. I would suggest that those who are bothered by it that maybe they should do an ego examination, and a doctrinal examination. The Talmud forbids casual reference to the name of God presenting such as dishonorable. Its revealing of Jews that they would refrain from spelling the name of the One, or "He" by use of G_d. Don't let it throw you MooseGirl. You hang in there and keep on asking questions, God loves it when His kids ask why Daddy? And He does have all the answers. You have all kinds of personalities here as well as doctrines. It is a good demonstration of how not to discuss an issue as well how it can be done. You will find some high degrees of ego, and some who have low self esteem. What we all miss is what Christ has taught us in the life He lived on this earth. We all can see the purpose for the blood, His punichment, and His death. But how much teaching have you ever heard about how He choose His disciples. He didn't go to the universities, and or colleges. Nor did He go to the religious leaders, or political leaders. He went to the most common of people first, and then added some of the more educated so that He had the same kind of ballance that is reflected in most societies of this world. Then He had His love letter written to us in such a way that we could all understand it at our own intellectual level. Oh!! if we could only get a hold of what an awsome presentation of God He gave us. A God who can communicate with everyone of His children regardless of age, and or education. It is a shame that we put so much energy into complicating what God made so simple. As far as how we spell His name, I don't think He cares about the spelling as much as He cares about why we are writting His name, and if our heart is right we make Him one proud Papa.
