All the Scriptures are uplifting. To imply that some are 'positive' also implies that there are 'negative' ones, which simply isn't true.

I think the intent of the post is the scriptures that are most uplifting to you personally. Those that have given comfort because perhaps the Holy Spirit has placed them in our hearts.

Ive always found psalm 23 comforting. Something about it just gives me peace.

Psalms 23

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

3 He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Anyway I reply to that seems like I am taking defensive stance and I'm trying to keep that out of this topic. So how about a virtual hug instead :emot-hug:

Also that is a good one to ayin jade. I'm writting all these down in my binder btw to look back on.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Of course, my fave:

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

Guess I have a lot of them lol.

John 1:14 nd the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The version I normally use translates it this way:

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

He dwelt among us. Just beautiful.

This puts it all in perspective for me:

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Matthew 13

44 Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which when a man has found it, he hides it, and for the joy of it goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls;

46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

John 14:27

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
