Imagine Judas Iscariot coming back from the dead... and being able to scientifically prove it is him. DNA / blood content analysis whatever.

 Umm...you believe this?

Me personally?

Yes. I go where the Bible leads. Prophecy shows us the true Messiah. It also shows us the false messiah / counterfeit christ.

You believe the Bible prophecies Judas Iscariot coming back from the dead? I'm trying to form a gracious reply, but I am so puzzled at how you could have come up with most bizarre idea that I am befuddled. How in the world did you get "Judas Iscariot" out of the prophesies?

666 is found in 1 Kings.

1 Kings 10:14 "Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,"

Its the only other metion of 666 Ive seen in the Bible, as of yet that I can recall, and it cant be overlooked that Solomon definitely had a mind of wisdom. It seems apostasy has something to do with the mark based on this reference but I cant say conclusively.

Figured I would share that.

I remember someone sharing John 6:66 as well about apostasy.

Good point. That leads to another question. Did a sovereign God have anything to do with the chapter verse divisions we find in the bible? Were they put there to aid or to confuse? Personally I have seen that chapter/verse division has sharpened people who are self proclaimed doctors of the law (lawyers) in coming to a defense for false doctrine through overcoming the context of any verse through segregation.

Well thats the double edge of the sword brother. Keep in mind its not the letters on the page which have import its the spirit of the Word; which those letters of the law attempt to bind, that holds eternal life in its right hand. Letters themselves are graven images which began as cuneiform: literally an image graven in clay.

Brings more meaning to the fact that the Word became sin for us.

Desperately grasping at what your saying.

Some people see the word on the page but fail to see the Word of God written in their heart. I dont think youre confused about that part but for the sake of clarity I write it.

Letters are graven images but God has showed us through the letter of the law just how conflicted we are in every aspect of our knowledge of Him which is why Jesus became sin for us.

Galtians 3:13 "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:"

2 Corinthians 5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Paul concluded from scripture that Christ became a curse for us being hung on the tree so I did the same thing. Letters began as graven images and we use letters to write the Word so in that sense the Word became sin (graven images) for us in that sense as well.

Its a double edged sword: cuts both ways.

Gary

John 6:66

From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Psalm 66:6

He turned the sea into dry land

they went through the flood on foot

there did we rejoice in him.

Isaiah 66:6

A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the Lord that rendereth recompence to his enemies.

1 Chronicles 6:66

And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim.

If there is something to chapters and verses, there needs to be a better indicator that matches are intended, I think?

I concur that when God is using something to make a statement it usually has a common thread through out the whole bible. I haven't seen quite enough concerning the number 666 and apostasy to consider it concrete by no means. Thanks for providing the scriptures as I wanted to do that same study but had not had time.
