By Roseanne Colletti, NBC 4 New York Pieces of uncooked bacon were scattered at a New York field where Muslims gathered to celebrate the end of Ramadan – an incident police are investigating it as a hate crime, authorities said Monday. Organizers found the bacon on a section of the John D'Amato Field, in New Dorp, Staten Island, where about 1,500 people gathered Sunday to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the Muslim holiday marking the end of dawn-to-sunset fasting during Ramadan. Read the full story at NBC New York The celebration was not marred by the crime because organizers did not inform those gathered until after the celebration had concluded, said Mohamed Sadeia, president of the Muslim American Society on Staten Island, which organized the gathering, according to the Staten Island Advance. The web site mentioned in the note contained references to the raw bacon, Kelly said. Observant Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset during the month of Ramadan, and are forbidden to eat pork. The police don't have time to prosecute incidents like the Norfolk reporter beating because they're too busy going all Sherlock Holmes to crack the case of the ill-placed bacon. What about the times that ....hate -crime is pointed toward the Christians . In movie films, and singers, etc.... making fun of our Lord Jesus Christ . And the Police never concidered all of the hate crimes done to our Christian churches...and cemeteries, etc. Police never defended our Christian Churches, or beliefs....like they are doing for the muslims. It's a fallen messed up world. The Muslims will follow or copy the same activist action as the homosexual. With all the fear mongering of the gays for around four decades we have been set up for all this illogical behavior. I mean really, bacon on the ground? Hate crime? nuts. Just wait until these officers experience the hate from Muslims. What about that guy driving around a chik-f-lay giving the finger. Hate crime against Jesus Christ, and the Christian Churches. At one time they would burn crosses in Christian Church yards and Pastors yards. These things actually happened down here in towns .
