Ok, I will try to not complicate this. When you click on a link that says contact us, or Email us. It does not give the address, it just pops up a window on your computer that gives me 2 choices. It offers Gmail and yahoo. I want to set AOL as the default program.

I have search and got really close I feel to finding where to do this, but not the right place. Any help on this. I have windows 7 OS. I use firefox browser. I don't know of any other info you may need, but just let me know if you do. God bless you all. and thanks in advance for any help you may have.

You can set the default email application on your computer through the Control Panel. You can do this in the Default Programs icon. If you have a default email you use, which I use Outlook, once installed it is automatically set as your default.

If the web app continues to refuse the ability to use a default program you choose, you can look at the page properties, or page source, and get the email address, if you know what to look for. What browser are you using?

Using Firefox, you can see the source of the page by going to Tools -> Web Developer -> Page Source. Once the window is opened, look at the code for an email address: email@mysite.extension - when found, copy it into your AOL email account.

Some sites force people to use certain email agents. You can't change this. What is the site that has this email address that you are looking for? I could try and find the email address for you.

It is not a certain site. It is when they don't give you the address, but instead, a button or banner. When I click it, my defaults pop up. They are set to, Gmail then yahoo below it. It seems like on my last laptop, i was able to change that setting on in the laptop itself.

Here is an example http://www.gotlc.org

On the site you gave, right click on where it says Email us Here and choose copy email address so you can place it in the TO on AOL.

You need to have an application installed, or a a piece of AOL on your system, for your system to be able to set it as a default for email. Have you looked in your control panel?
