A question for my Messianic brethern

There seems to be an influx of Messianic Christianity, (at least the group has gotten a great deal more vocal ) over the last few years, and I was wondering if anyone believed that this is the beginning of this promise.

Ro 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Ro 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Ro 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Ro 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

It makes for an interesting thought regardless. It's pretty clear from scripture that God will never forsake Israel. Is this then the beginning of restoration of Israel's spiritual heritage?

Paul said it would result in even greater blessings than the 'blindness' that has happened 'in part' to Israel; IT WOULD BE LIFE FROM THE DEAD!!!

True, but I was also thinking it was a part of God's timetable. If the gospel truely goes back to the Jews, doesn't that mean the time of the gentiles if fullfilled?

hmmmm....yeah.

According to Jesus, Jerusalem would be trod underfoot of the gentile until that time too...

And that happened in 1967 when there were zero messianic congregations in America. In 1968, the first 3 were birthed. Now there are hundreds....maybe thousands.

Yep, quite an astute observation there brutha....

Greetings,

In the land of Israel today, there is an enclave of Orthodox Judaism whose main purpose is to maintain their Orthodoxy and to prevent any Christian prostylization of its people. Laws are continually put forth prohibiting such prostylization by Christians. In Israel we thus see a very large voice coming from them.

Elsewhere in the world, Christians have to face NO law preventing them from prostylizing the Jews. There are only about 5.3 million Jews in Israel. There are another 11 million in the rest of the world and more than 6 million of them are right here in the USA. These that are yet in the "diaspora" are the ones which are going to be reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is true that the "fulness of the gentiles be come in (to the Kingdom of God)", has not yet reached fruition, and the Jews hearts are still hardened, and will remain that way until the "great apostacy" of the church, when the Kingdom of God shall be filled with all the gentiles that are going to be saved - ARE saved. But Orthodox Judaism in the land of Israel is going to continue. In the rest of the world, it is there that we shall have the greatest converts of the Jews.

BTW, the "times of the gentiles" (trampling down Israel) is NOT the same thing as the "fulness of the gentiles be come in" mentioned in Romans 11.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

man, I'm glad that I ain't the only one who sees that. :emot-hug:

the Jews hearts are still hardened, and will remain that way until the "great apostacy" of the church, when the Kingdom of God shall be filled with all the gentiles that are going to be saved - ARE saved.

why do you think that ALL gentiles who are going to be saved will happen before the "great apostacy" occurs? I think that is already begun and will be in full swing before long.

From what I can see there are a few nations like America, Australia, Zambia, Nigeria that have a large percentage of christians. The European "christian" nations ceased to be faithful long ago and I could see it happening in America in the next decade....

Then what?

But Orthodox Judaism in the land of Israel is going to continue. In the rest of the world, it is there that we shall have the greatest converts of the Jews.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, DE. The Orthodox are the only jews expecting a Messiah. They are only ones who know the scriptures and they are also VERY aware that "many gentiles are joined unto the land".

I agree that it's almost like an innoculation that blinds spiritual eyes but don't think God can't open them.

I'm counting on it.

Here is an interesting tidbit though. I have been told that it is a recent occurance of the last century that the Orthodox have developed a practise of mourning exactly like this scripture mentions.

Zechariah 12

11 On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be great, like the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, 13 the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives,

not sure where you live but I see apostasy in a large chunk of the church. It has gotten bad and is getting worse every day....even in America

It is complete in Europe

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
