There are many pies that are worthy fare, but the one true pie is New England Mile High Apple Pie and either a scoop of vanilla over hot or a slice of sharp cheddar.

Baked goods,

Often sweet

Uses some form of flour,sugar, butter and eggs

Often has icing on top, 

Often uses similar main ingredients (chocolate  lemon, apple, banana) 

 

Close enough.
